Without a second thought, I lunged out of Dante's arms, pulling a knife out of Teddy at the same moment.
I would be going in blind (HA!), but I was 90% certain that I would be able to stab Antoine or, at the very least, the bitch who brought him.
Unfortunately for me, fortunately for them, Dante's reflexes were quicker than I expected. Once again, his arm snaked around my waist. But instead of simply pulling me to his chest, he picked me up and threw me toward Tank.
Tank, that traitor, never missed a beat. Plucking me out of thin air, he settled me back on his forearm like it was my throne.
"Sorry," shrugged Dante, a smirk on his face as he turned back to Brittney and Antoine. "She gets a bit stabby when she thinks that someone is being mean to me."
"That's not an excuse," sneered Brittney, her perfect speech wavering for a moment as she turned a glare toward me.
