Chereads / Man of Soul / Chapter 27 - Entering Interpol Island

Chapter 27 - Entering Interpol Island

Charles and Glen thrashed on each other's faces with full force. With the last exchange of blows, the fight ended. Both of them were forced to lose balance.

Charles fell on his face. Glen got down to his knees but was still far from unconscious. He stood up and wiped his forehead.

"You've lost, Charles. I've won." He looked around and ran left till he reached in front of a pile of scrap. He grabbed an iron rod and ran back towards Charles.

Bang! He landed a blow on Charles's head. But he got off balance again. This time, he slipped and dropped the iron rod.

The sound of a helicopter came. A figure landed from the helicopter without any support. He noticed the helicopter and the figure before they could.

He quietly got away from the scene. The figure slowly headed towards Charles. It was Mike. Mike carried Charles on his back. A moment later, he disappeared.

The next thing Charles knew, he was lying inside the helicopter. Mike took a step out of the helicopter. Before Charles could turn his head, Mike took another step and disappeared again.

Charles's blurred vision slowly faded, and his consciousness slowly went away from his body. Mike was back with Morgan and Stacy.

"Marcus, let's go. These guys need treatment."

Marcus, the guy who pulled Mike earlier, said to the pilot, "Take off. The next stop is Interpol Island."

"OK, Roger."

The helicopter took off at an incredible pace. It was not like a normal helicopter at all. It was at least 10 times faster than a normal helicopter.

5 minutes later...

The helicopter landed on one of the many helipads on the terrace of the headquarters of Interpol. Marcus said, "I'll go to my cabin. Mike, take them to your cabin and complete your formalities. And, you know the rest."

"Okay, when shall I again with their first mission?"

"Don't rush on them so much? At least let them recover and mix up with their new life. Missions come afterwards. Don't take the wrong meaning, once they start going on mission, they'll be pretty busy."

"See ya."

Marcus and the pilot got out of the helicopter. Mike carried the trio and disappeared. He reached inside his office. The trio were kept of chairs. He sat on his chair and grabbed the telephone on his table.

After dialling a number, he said, "Kid, I'm back. Bring me 4 cups of coffee."

"Do you have guests?"

"I've got children for my division. How much time will you take."

"As usual, we'll take 5 minutes."

Later this day, evening...

The soothing rays of sunset woke Morgan up. He was inside a room in a hospital. He looked out of the window. The area was full of snow.

Knock! Knock! Charles entered his room. Charles said, "When did you wake up?"

"Just a moment ago. How are you? What happened at the fight?"

"I'm good, we won. But, I'm worried about you and Stacy."

"Why?"

"You two still need some days before you get back to your best shape. And after that, you'll officially enrol for Interpol."

A few days later...

Morgan and Stacy recovered from their injuries. They were enrolled for Interpol. After joining Interpol, they had to go on missions whenever Interpol desired them to.

They were not allowed to make any excuses or deny their assigned missions. However, they had the privilege of taking leave from the job for a day once in a while.

The permission for leave would not be given to anyone without proper reasoning. Interpol didn't overload their staff and agents. So, leave was barely asked by anyone.

They were given their quarters to live in, with full-fledged preparation. Their home was ready to live in, without the need for anything from outside except for foodstuffs.

Charles showed them their quarter. They took a sleep and rest for a day. The next day, Charles showed them around the island.

After a few days, Charles's phone rang. The phone call triggered the trio to work together on their first case.
