Chereads / The ELF's epic Journey / Chapter 14 - Rank Upgrade Interface

Chapter 14 - Rank Upgrade Interface

The ride back was way awkward as none seemed to bother to strike a conversation with the other as they both had thier minds preoccupied.

"Damnit! How can she bail out on me!? I was about to lay it hot on that pussy!" Nador lamented as he stared at the interface.

[Rewards have been distributed...]

[+20,000 Anchor points]

[Title: Notorious Pervert.]

[Rank Upgrade Interface (unlocked)]

"Eh?" A weird sound escaped his lips as he tils his head in confusion.

[Cultivation - (Body_) (Core_)]

He clicked on the body interface.

[Body: Rank- {bronze} ]

This is interesting... Without hesitation, he clicked on the highlighted phrase and a shrill was sent through his spine.

<10,000 anchor points has been spent>

Sensing something dangerous about to happen, he jumped off the horse, manipulating the wind waves to his soles, his figure blurred off the distance, leaving a stunned Fern behind.

"What has gotten into him?" Fern muttered as she stopped the horse to stare at the direction Nador had dashed off to.

Nador who was 200 meters away from Fern suddenly stopped and got in a crouched position. His skin glowed in a pale blue hue enveloping his being. The intensity of the wind grew as the trees blew from side to side. His skin formed an invisible crystalline structure on it's surface, appearing more smooth than before.

The energy waves suddenly stopped and was sucked back into his body like a black hole, leaving Nador panting in exhaustion at the tiresome experience.

(Congratulations on breaking through into the next rank.)

"Now I get it." Picking himself up, Nador stared at the system in new light. He can cultivate with ease with this anchor points... But it seems like gathering them would be a big of a challenge.

(Next rank:

Gold- 500,000 Points

Platinum - 1,000,000 Anchor points

Diamond- 100,000,000 Anchor Points

Mythril- 500,000,000,000 Anchor points.

??)

"Why is it so expensive? I have roughly about 2 million points from my generous mother and sister and that's it!" Nador complained at the system's way of interacting, that is, through scamming him as usual.

"And here I thought we could be buddies." He turned his gaze to the core interface and clicked on it in excitement.

[Core: Rank- (beginner) ]

"Let's see the price rate first." He clicked on 'Rank'.

[Next Rank:

Advance- 1000 Anchor points

Sage- (↓)

Mystic- (↓)

Unification Realm- (↓)

(???)

"Eeh? There is a realm above mystic? It shouldn't be possible... Right?" Spewing utter rubbish at this point, Nador clicked on the advanced rank for an upgrade and experience a cold shrill in his very soul.

His chest glowed pale blue as the wind clashed against his hardened skin before seeping through his skin pores and into his core situated close to his heart.

*SWOOOSH!*

Huhuhu! The excitement flooded Nador's being as he clicked the next rank without hesitation.

"Do you really have to ask!? Take my money dammit!!"

<-8,000>

*SWOOOSH!*

A similar phenomenon occured with the wind elements seeping into his core and mind at the same time and frequency. This went on for the next 3 minutes before the wind went into sudden stillness.

"Haha! Gimme more!!" He was about to click on the next upgrade when he heard Fern galloping the distance on a horse. As an Elf, his senses are extremely sensitive... But with the upgrade, he can hear as far as 150 meters away from him with ease.

"It's not probably advisable for me to rank up in a single go without adjusting to my current strength." Nador thought deeply as he placed a hand to brush his imaginary beard.

"Boy would it be good to have a beard at this moment." He muttered jokingly before the bright face of the tall juicy half dwarf popped up in his vision. Fern paused before shooting a dry look at Nador.

"You look different." Fern spoke in suspicion as her gaze narrowed on Nador's entire being, leaving Nador shivering from her weird gaze.

"Why the look of suspicion? Have you forgotten the forest inci-" he was interrupted as a huge mace smacked the ground he previously stood.

"What the heil!?"

"S-Serves you right Mister!" She said with a pout as she mounted the horse and dashed off without bothering Nador's perverted presence again.

"HEY!!! YOUR JUST GONNA LEAVE ME HERE!!?" Nador yelled as he dashed after the Fern who had suddenly switched from concern to embarrassment. Women are truly the complexity form in flesh.

The sun soon lost its shine as it was setting, casting it's divine afterglow over the quiet Nation of Mistvale. The evening should be the most active period of the day, but everything seemed to be deserted. Wonder why.

"You can lose your hold, we've arrived." Fern said to Nador who's hands were wrapped round her waist.

Hearing the sternest tone he'd heard coming from her, Nador quickly removed his hands, but it accidentally brushed her breasts. It was nothing more than an unconcious accident, but it seemed she took it a little too seriously. .

"HEEEIIIK!!" Her forehead slammed against Nador's forehead, sending him flying off the horse and to the ground before dashing down the streets, leaving a stunned Nador in her wake.

"Heh heh, she'll come running after me in a week or two." Taking a 180 degree turn, Nador's personality switched from radiant overwhelmingly innocence to a cunning and mischievous one as his cloak covered a shadow over his face, revealing only his eyes to the world.

"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and babes, I welcome you to and humbly present myself to you!" A voice boomed over the football sized stadium. But he his reply came as a massive wave of insults hurled at him by the crowds.

"We don't want your nonsense!"

"Yeah! Just get on with the show already!"

The crowd went wild as the host received a massive tidal wave of insults, but he surprisingly maintained his cool.

"Now now, no need to wild up due to seeing my beauty and grace. Feel honored that I, Eliot Maxwell, am hosting this-" Eliot was interrupted as a massive plate sized pile of shit was hurled at his window.

"On with his head!!"

"Gaaahhh!!!"

The entire stadium dashed towards the commentary section, but the calm peaceful and soothing voice of a certain female knight halted any further movements.

"Children, now is not the time~ we have a show." She said as she unsheathes her broadsword strapped on her back. The broadsword was the height of an average male, and it's weight remained unkown to the people. Although her voice sounded welcoming, her actions said otherwise.

"You lucky piece of shit!"

"Once again, Lady Marie foils our plans."

"Damn you Eliot!"

The crowd crawled back to their respective sits, not forgetting to hurl more insults at the smirking Eliot.

"*Ahem!* Participants of the greatest event so far should step in the ring within the next half of the hour!" Eliot spoke in a loud voice enhanced by a magic stone.

Crowds of young men of various physiques and ranks rushed out with weapons drawn, ready for blood.
