By the time Ryo got home that evening, his head was spinning. Hana had asked him to the festival. Saki had teased him. Mei had been as unreadable as ever. And now, he was left to figure out what to do.
Yuto, ever the helpful friend, had called him the second he heard about the "festival incident."
"So, you're going, right?" Yuto asked, his voice crackling through the phone.
"I don't know," Ryo said, flopping onto his bed. "It sounds like a date, and I'm not sure if I'm ready for that."
Yuto laughed. "Ready or not, buddy, you're in it now. Besides, it's just a festival. You can enjoy the food, watch the fireworks, and maybe—just maybe—figure out how you really feel about all this."
Ryo groaned. "That's the problem. I don't know how I feel."
"Then you've got two days to figure it out," Yuto said with a grin. "Good luck, man. You're gonna need it."
Ryo hung up the phone and stared at the ceiling, his thoughts swirling. What was he supposed to do? Did he actually have feelings for Hana? Or was he just caught up in the craziness of the situation?
And then there was Saki, always teasing him but never really showing her cards. And Mei, who was so quiet and mysterious that Ryo couldn't even begin to understand what she was thinking.
It was all too much.
Ryo sighed, pulling a pillow over his face. One way or another, this festival was going to change everything.
