Isamu's body trembled with rage, his breathing ragged as the enormous crow held her down, its beak still biting into her torso. The creature's focus on its prey left it vulnerable. Without hesitation, Isamu swung his sword in a wide arc, the blade slicing through the air with deadly precision. It struck true, piercing the crow's skull. The creature's massive body twitched violently before collapsing to the floor, lifeless.
But Isamu wasn't done.
His hands clenched tightly around the hilt of his katana as he pulled it out and drove it back into the crow's head. Again. And again. And again. Blood spattered across his face and clothes in crimson streaks, each stab fueled by a fury that seemed to burn hotter with every motion.
"Isamu, that's enough," Takumi's voice broke through the chaos, low but firm.
