"Sigh. This is tiring." I grunted, exhausted from playing Blocking.

"Damn it! If only there was a tutorial for this bullshit achievement!" I said as I slammed my desk out of frustration.

"Growls…"

Ugghhh. I'm hungry again. I do have a fridge downstairs but it's empty. And, I think it's better if I just eat in the real world. I can't cook if I'm this small.

UNLOCKS

10 COMPLETIONS – ACTIVATE"GAME ZONE"SUBCONSCIOUSLY.

Sigh. I may be a decent gamer, but completing 10 games is tough. There are many other alternatives, but I want to focus on games that DO matter.

"DEACTIVATE "GAME ZONE"

After that, I instantly teleported a few feet above my bed. Since I lack food in Game Zone, I can't stay in it for too long. I can only use it before I eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If I use it afterward and continue playing for long periods, I'd starve and would have to return to the real world to replenish myself.

"Knock Knock"

"Come in."

"Madam, it's time for lunch." Saira said.

Her eyes have been covered in bandages ever since the incident 2 months ago. Though they're fully healed, they're there specifically for me. The part where her eyes were wounded looked incredibly disfigured and disgusting, so my parents knew to have her keep those bandages on.

"Very well." I responded. I got off my chair and followed Saira.

It was very silent. Only the chirping of the birds outside can be heard, but faintly due to the windows. I looked at Saira, a bit concerned. She knows my secret and my manifest. It won't take long before my family does, especially since what happened to Naic a few years back.

"Can you serve me some snacks later at 3 pm?" I asked.

"Very well, madam. However, Madam Vytria is concerned about your weight."

Oh great. Now that lessens my use of Game Zone.

We entered the dining room shortly after. I sat next to Naic, who was sitting quietly in her chair with her eyes closed as if she were meditating. I stared at her for a bit, before our father spoke to me.

"Soon enough, Beal, you'll be doing that."

"What for, father?" I asked as I turned my head to look at him.

"Training."

"…" I looked back at Naic, who was staring deeply into my eyes. I jump back, almost falling off my chair.

Naic chuckled afterward before we started to eat. On my plate was a pancake, two bacons, and an omelet.

"Growl…" My stomach continued to growling as my mouth drooled.

God, it looks so delicious!

I grabbed my utensils and began eating. It was very delicious. Not in a million years would I get tired of these meals.

Next to my plate were mashed potatoes and ice cream for dessert. It looks so appetizing! I need to finish this plate first, though.

As I ate, my father called one of our butlers, Mikhayn.

"What is it, sir?"

"Did they get information from the convicts?" My father asked.

"They haven't sir. However, Gabrin Excendi has said that he will visit us soon once he gets answers from the convicts."

Convicts, huh?

I looked at Saira who was behind my mother, Vytria. She was as still as a mannequin.

Thank goodness she's quiet about it. I don't really have a reason to hide it, but I also don't know how I would explain my manifest.

"Good. Saria, how's Naic's training?"

"Excellent, sir." Saria replied.

After a few minutes, I was done and full. I rubbed my filled belly as I leaned back in my chair.

"Beal."

"Yes, father?"

"You'll be going to school in about a month. Naic will be there with you, but not all the time. Will you be alright being alone?"

"Yes, father."

"Very well. You may leave now."

I hopped off my chair and exited the dining room. Naic finished her food and followed me soon after. I walk for a bit before reaching the backdoor, leading to the huge backyard.

School, huh? I hope to make some friends there.

"Are you nervous?" Naic asked, surprising me once more.

"Uhh… No." I answered.

We walked for a bit before sitting on a nearby bench. In front of us is a waterfall.

"What's it like?" I asked.

"School? Well, it's harsh. No one will be kind to you regardless of your status."

"Oh. I'll look forward to that, then."

"HUH??? Did you NOT hear what I said? Life won't be kind the moment you step foot in the academy! Regardless whether you're the miracle or not, they won't give a fuck about it and would pursue on ruining everything you'll ever stand for! You're basically a big bait in an ocean full of sharks!"

"Language, madam." Saira said as she materialized out of nowhere, surprising us both.

"Sigh. Yeah, yeah, got it." I said, grumbling.

"Scoff well, I did my best to warn you. But, even if you have a good manifest or not, you'll get beaten to a pulp at any time." Naic exhaustingly said as she crossed both her arms.

"Hmm?"

"There's no rules against fighting. If someone invites you to a duel, you have no right to refuse. There are exceptions, of course. If the opponent is a grade higher than you, you can decline. But, if they're the same grade as you, you're automatically put in the duel regardless."

"Oh. How was your first duel?"

"I won. Easily."

"Cool." I said in a grumbling manner again.

I don't know much about her manifest yet, but it must be really strong, possibly stronger than my… Nevermind. I doubt it.

Sigh. But school, huh? I hope there are at least some kind ones there. I wanna do that "save the bully's victim" type of trope.

Actually, screw that. It sounds edgy as hell.

"A month… Do I need to prepare, Saira?" I asked.

"You'll need to do physical training. But I doubt you'll have a problem with that with your manifest."

"WAIT!!! YOU ALREADY HAVE A MANIFEST?!" Naic said as she jump in excitement.

"What's your manifest?! Tell me! Tell me!" Naic asked with eyes glistening like stars reflecting in a pond.

"Nope."

"AAAAAAARRRGHH!!!!!" She cried furiously.

...

Later that night, one of our maids, Glacei, entered my room, telling me that my mother called for my presence. Of course, since I was done completing 2 games, I didn't have much to do.

We walked down the hallways and into my mother's room. There, Mikhayn, Saira, and Saria stood next to my mother, who was sitting in her desk. My father is absent, though.

There are only a few times I've seen my mother not smiling. And this is one of those times. She doesn't seem disappointed or mad, but she looks like she wants to assess something.

She's heard about it.

Took them long enough. I thought I'd get immediately sent to my mother once the news broke out but…

The situation felt tense. The eyes locked onto me made me feel anxious, not to mention, my mother just sitting quietly, not saying a word.

"What is it, mother?"

"Your Manifest. What is it?"

Straight to the point, aren't we?

"It lets me go into a different place. It's a house in the middle of white nothingness. There, I can stay in it for as long as I want, as long as I have enough food and water to sustain me."

"Is that all?"

Shiiiit. I should've made up my mind earlier if I should tell them that time doesn't pass in the real world when I use it.

"…"

"You're silent. That means there's more to it than that."

"…"

"Well then. Let's just leave it at th-"

"My manifest stops the time in the real world when I use it."

Everyone became speechless. All eyes pointed at me with surprise and curiosity. They were all staggered by this. I glanced over to my right where Saira stood next to the maids. Her jaw dropped, surprised by this.

I forgot she didn't even know time can't pass in the real world because I was using Game Zone to fight.

My mother sighed. Taking a few seconds to process what she just heard. Then, she spoke.

"That's a lot to take in..." She said as she rested her head on her arm. But she didn't even sound like she doubted it. More like, she's reminiscent about it.

She smiled, before speaking again.

"Have a good night's rest. Tomorrow, we'll put your manifest to use."

I bowed and left the room after that. Glacei closed the door behind me, but I could hear the whispers and gossiping even after the door closed.

"What do you think, madam?" Mikhayn asked.

"I can't confirm it, but I can only assume…"

Everyone stopped whispering. Listening to what she was about to say.

"She's the Redeemer."
