A howler is a tall creature, about seven feet high, covered in thick, dark fur. Its body is strong and lean, with sharp claws on its long legs. The head is wide, with a big mouth, and sharp claws on its long legs. The head is wide, with a big mouth full of sharp teeth. It has large, ember eyes, glowing in light, and spiky fur runs along its back.
Alan saw a total of 3 howlers in front of him, with the sound of 1st wave starting they all looked at him with predatory eyes and after the countdown started they all marched towards him.
Alan positioned himself, gripping the sword tightly, sweat dripping from his head, he was nervous, but he didn't show any of it in his eyes, after all, if you show your weakness in front of your enemy, the enemy will have an advantage, it's a battle of psychology and Alan didn't want to lose from the start before even the battle started.
They were less than 40m away from him, the club raised at him and their eyes locked on him.
They aren't slowing down one bit. Suddenly one of them raised his speed and ran toward him, Alan decided it was time for his move, when it was close to him, it swung his claw toward his face, but Alan made a right turn and narrowly avoided the massive claw.
"Phew! What an impressive swing." Alan remarked.
Alan tried to catch it off guard, turned, and tried to attack its back, only to find out it was already turning to face him as well.`
They glared at each other for a minute and Alan broke their sweet eye contact and looked at the other howlers to find out, why they were not attacking him, to his surprise they just sitting, as if he was not someone worth their time.
His thoughts broke when the howler in front of him lunged forward to make another attack. Its claws were massive, Alan couldn't get near the beast, it was the perfect defense for him.
" Tch! I do not want to get hit by it, if my health decreases, the buffs will watch on them, then I will be fucked in the next wave. I wanted to use counterflow against him, but if I can't concentrate how could I use it, it's not giving me enough time, I have to find some way to use my skills, even if I hadn't mastered any of them I still want to try." Alan said.
This time Alan tried something different, which he practiced before in his daily tasks. He used his eternal gaze, and tried to read the move of the howler, its attack pattern, its movement, tried to find any weakness it had, the movement he couldn't see before, now he saw everything clearly, it moved seemed slower than before, and he found the weakness of the howler, It has only one attack pattern, it only jumps towards him, slash its claws against Alan, and it stops for a few second before adjusting to a comfortable position to launch another attack, it has speed, but not control, and Alan decided to use this weakness of it to his advantage.
This time when it started to attack again, Alan didn't dodge, braced himself for the impact, the dreadmind slashed its claws toward him, and Alan parried the attack with his sword. This was the perfect moment for him to use his skill.
"Ember strike," Alan shouted, his sword glowed golden, unleashing a wave of fiery energy, this was the first time Alan used this skill, also the first time he saw his resonance and all other resonance of different shades, but the bright golden hue that enveloped his sword, glowed brighter than other ones, and in a flash Alan swung his sword, slashing the dreadmind in half.
"This was too close," Alan muttered, breathing heavily, wiping sweat from his brow.
But this victory didn't make Alan relaxed, as he looked at the other two howlers in front of him, they were glaring at him as if they were some long-lost enemies.
This time Alan dashed toward them, using the tempest step, darting left and right, confusing them with his movements, as he reached one of the howlers, it moved its claw instantly, because of his eternal gaze, the movement seemed very slow to him, Alan put his right on the claw and pushed it, and jumped in the air high, his body is now in the air, Alan changed his sword into a straight position, and pierced its head with all his strength, sending him to afterlife.
Alan rolled over to the ground, but the other one didn't give him any rest and jumped straight at him, Alan rolled to his left side, dodging the attack, and used his bow and shoot the arrow, which pierced his eye, Alan used this short moment of advantage, using his tempest step, he reached near him in a flash, and sliced his head.
1st Wave ended,
user completed the task in the given time,
congratulations to the user for delaying the punishment, getting pegged by the gremlin,

Agility: +10
defence: +10
Your mastery of your skills has increased.
Alan lay on the ground, breathing rapidly, his shirt stained by the dark blood of dreadminds.
"Hah! This was fun." Alan smiled while huffing.
"By the way Anna, I forgot to ask you, you said you had given me the buff, but you also said the system is in charge of all this," Alan chuckled while asking.
[.......]
"Hahahahaha, Anna the dumb almighty, so you are the one responsible for all these punishments, just wait, I'll show you the real punishment," Alan said.
Alan looked at his stats, his overall strength increased quite a bit, and his mastery over his skill also improved, this was what he needed the most, but even his mastery increased, he has to train with his skill to let his body adapt, this made him a little sad, he wanted to become like those protagonists, who just mastered any skill overnight.
Again the robotic voice rang in his mind.
Enough rest user, time for 2nd wave.
