Alpha Trent's POV.
I shouldn't have listened to Kyle at all. He was a good casanova and he would be perfect in all these things but I haven't had a female friend except…
I really didn't want to remember her but I couldn't help it, but she was nothing like Eva. Eva was more beautiful and had a more funny and childish personality while she was pretty and extremely classy.
"If I may ask Eva, how old are you?" I inquired. The investigator I hired never specified her age because it wasn't recorded.
As a matter of fact, nothing about her was recorded. He told me that every information he had gotten was from an inner source in the pack but apart from that, there was nothing else recorded about her.
It was like she never existed or her information was made to disappear for a strange reason but why?.
"I am eighteen" She replied with a little smile on her face.
"You are still a young werewolf," I commented to her.
"I am not young anymore, I can do a lot of things on my own. I have done so much work that others of my age can't do" She bragged.
I smiled proudly that she wasn't weak but a self willed and strong person. Her fast recovery has shown her to be really strong; Most werewolves would have given up.
Rogues might not have a good life because they didn't belong to the pack but they had their freedom from any form of oppression except the ones that suffered them as a result of the harsh effects of nature.
I wondered how much abuse she had gone through. It made me extremely angry about it and I had a reason to destroy their pack but I didn't want any war.
I wasn't afraid of the consequences of the war but I didn't want my people to get hurt, especially her.
"Are you going to stare at my face or are we going to the kitchen?" She complained and pouted her lips childishly.
I chuckled nervously because I was purposely having this conversation to avoid the cooking stuff.
"Errr, the cooking might take a while because I am not a fast cook, so maybe the Head chef can cook the food" I scratched the back of my neck and said.
"Why?I don't want his food;I only want to taste your food, "she said stubbornly.
If only she knew.
I didn't decline further but went to take a wheelchair and place her on it. She was no longer connected to anything, therefore it was quite easy.
I rolled her wheelchair out of the room.
"You don't have to help me" She muttered but I ignored her.
When we reached the stairs, I mindlinked one of my servants to assist us.
"Take the wheelchair" I ordered and raised Eva up.
I carried her in my hands and she giggled.
"Does anywhere still hurt?"
"Yes but just a little" She smiled and buried her face in my chest.
I clambered down the stairs and put her back on a wheelchair then took her to the kitchen.
She was spewing 'Wow' and 'Woah' as we strode to the kitchen.
"This house is beautiful, it is even more beautiful than Liam's house and it's also much larger" She giggled while looking around.
"I am glad you like it" I flushed.
It was amazing how a few words from her could make me have such a surge of emotion and excitement. Many important people have visited the pack house and complimented on its incredible size and beauty but their words didn't matter.
She giggled. "I don't like it, I love it"
We reached the kitchen and the servants were shocked to see me, especially the Head Chef.
"Alpha" they all greeted and bowed in respect but ignored Eva.
"Good morning, I would need all of you to exit the kitchen for today" I announced and they were stunned.
"Why is that Alpha?;If I may ask" The head chef asked.
"I want to cook," I responded.
It was another bombshell for them because they have never seen me in the kitchen for anything. The kitchen was a spot in my house that I never cared to show any concern about.
When mother was around, she was the supervisor over them because she loved cooking to the extent that, according to father, he was not only bonded to her with the mate bond but also her delicious cooking.
Thinking of my mother, I missed her. She had always been a supportive mother and when Father was harsh, she was gentle and considerate.
"Alpha, do you find any of my cooking distasteful?" The head chef asked but before I could reply, Eva chipped in.
"Enough of the question and answer ;He ordered you to leave then obey his command" Eva interjected. "Your cooking is great and I can attest to that but orders are meant to be obeyed"
"Do as she says"
They all bowed and left the kitchen, one after the other.
I pushed her wheelchair to the side of the counter then I went to wear an apron. At least I knew the basic steps.
Did I just mention basic steps?.
I stared blankly at the stove, my mind was completely perplexed. Many questions crossed my mind like what was I going to cook and which ingredient would I use?.
I looked at Eva and her cheeks were puffed with air.
The next thing that came to my mind was to put on the stove first but that was another hassle because I was unaware of how a stove was lit.
A sudden burst of laughter came from Eva and it made me a bit offended.
"I am sorry," Eva laughed.
Her laugh was so contagious that I joined in.
"You want to cook and you can't turn on the stove" She roared in laughter. "Why did you say that you could cook?"
"Don't jest, you are making me feel bad for trying to impress you" I muttered, sadly.
"You wanted to impress me?" She placed her hand on her chest and asked.
"Yes, I wanted to impress you" I smiled and took my hand to her chin.
I saw tears fill her eyes and I gasped.
"Son, what are you doing here?"
I lifted up my gaze to see father standing by the door. Eva turned her wheelchair to sight him as well.
Father's eyes widened in horror. "What is this useless and uncultured animal still doing here?!"
