Alpha Trent's POV.
I want her to be mine.
I desired her more than ever, her reaction had just shown me that she doesn't see me as only her Alpha but something other than that.
My thumb slowly caressed her bottom lip from side to side and it found its way into her mouth, she closed her lips on it.
She slowly opened my eyes and I instantly retracted my thumb from her mouth. It was like she had snapped out of a trance-like state.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do that!" I said, unapologetically.
Sorry was far from what I wanted to say. I wanted to tell her that I liked the color of her lips and how soft they felt under my thumb and if she could suck the nerves out of my fingers.
Those were dirty thoughts that had never crossed my mind even at a younger age when young female werewolves were flocking around me, hoping to be my mate or just to be one one of my concubines in bed.
At that time, I was only focused on satisfying my father and meeting his expectation of being an Alpha who would be more better and efficient than him. I turned out terrific as he had anticipated and trained me to become;therefore sex or females were not part of my agenda.
"Y-you don't…have to be sorry…about anything" She stuttered and cleared her throat nervously.
Even though I was nervous, I felt too exalted to express it.
"But do you forgive me for trying to escape?" It wasn't my intention to be such an ungrateful fellow. I simply thought that you must have been uncomfortable… with me around" Eva muttered and her lips formed into a pout.
It was one of the cutest and beautiful expressions that I had ever seen.
"You aren't saying anything"
My mind was growing wild with thoughts that were incomprehensible and somewhat strange. The moaning sound she made earlier carried so much pleasure that I wanted to hear it more.
"You are beautiful" I suddenly said while staring into her emerald eyes that seemed like a mirror to her soul.
Eva flushed. Her cheeks reddened at my compliment like it was something that none had ever told her before.
It should be an everyday compliment, from the moment she wakes to her slumber. She should be called 'Beautiful', each moment of her life.
Things were happening so fast and I loved every show of her loveliness.
I suddenly pinched one of her cheeks.
"Ow!" She yelped and smacked my thigh.
"Ouch!"
It was a playful act;it made me feel normal like every other person out there. Since I had taken over the Alpha title, the opportunity to have a fun life ceased to exist but this reminded me of my old days.
"I didn't mean to hit you. '' She apologized.
I almost rolled my eyes at her but I had to take our familiarity slowly, I didn't want to send her away with my boring life and attitude.
"It's just that no one had ever told me that I was beautiful ;Not like I am ignorant of the fact that the moon goddess was generous enough to grace me with beauty but it had always been invisible" She said in a crestfallen manner.
"Invisible?"
"I was never told nice things or shown kindness. Everyone there hated me like a plague" Eva mouthed.
"Don't say things like that, you aren't a plague but rather a pure gem. You are, like gold that needs to go through fire in order to become the most beautiful jewels that had ever been discovered" I objected to her derogatory thoughts about herself.
My words made her cheeks even become redder like a tomato, she looked even more adorable and gorgeous than ever. I only wished that I had the ability to remove those bruised spots from her face.
She alluded to my gaze and began picking her nails.
"Will you finally accept staying in my pack permanently?"
If eternity was a word that existed, then she should stay here for eternity upon eternity.
She gave no reply and I concluded that she still had leaving the pack in mind but why?.
"I will stay in your pack, only on one condition".
I quickly nodded and she said something funny..
"I am famished, can you get this ailing, hunger wolf some food?" Eva asked, blinking her eyelashes in a way that made my heart flutter.
"Of course" I chuckled and left her in her room.
On my way to the kitchen, I crossed paths with Kyle.
"Good morning, Alpha lover boy;I mean Trent " Kyle greeted in a sarcastic manner.
I rolled my eyes at him but my ears tinted red because of his words.
"I haven't really checked up on Eva, let me –"
He pressed forward but I pushed him back on the chest. We shared angry glares that were playful.
"Keep your eyes off Eva"
"You know that my eyes are only on troublesome Serena but I could add to the list" Kyle joked and I laughed.
"Stay clear of my sister as well but since I know how much of a cassanova you are, I would like to know how you can make a lady impressed?" I inquired because my Beta always had the tendency to be in love and falsely mated to numerous female werewolves.
Kyle laughed at me and I regretted asking him the question.
" There are several ways in which you can impress a girl, girls are not hard to impress. All you need are sweet words, flowers, raw meat to satisfy their hunger and money"
"I am sure that she seeks none of that" I sighed.
"Then do the basic things like tying her hair , doing her house chores and cooking" Kyle answered.
My lips curved into a smile.
"I just need to cook and she would be impressed" I smiled.
Kyle burst into another uncontrollable laughter but I wasn't offended.
"It's like you want her to spend the rest of her life in the restroom" Kyle laughed.
I ignored him and returned to Eva's room. I was an Alpha and she wouldn't expect me to be able to cook;I am certain that would tell me not to do it.
I entered her room.
"Where's the food?"
"I want to cook your meal" I grinned.
