Eva's POV
"Who are you?" I asked softly, while staring into his deep dark grayish orbs. He had the most enchanting eyes I had ever seen, and the way it glinted under the evening sun held me mesmerized.
"I am Alpha Alpha Trent." He mumbled slowly, his deep voice sounded like melody to my ears, and I smiled slowly, allowing his voice to envelop me like a cloak.
He momentarily numbed all the aches I felt and for a minute, I almost forgot the scratches and the bruises that were beginning to form on my face and body.
I quickly took in his overall appearance, noting to myself that he was probably here for Alpha Liam's coronation, but relaxed all the same because I knew that he wasn't a member of this bad pack.
I didn't ask where he wanted to take me to, didn't even try to show him the way to my room and simply allowed him to carry me bridal style away from where I previously was to wherever it was that he was taking me to..
My head immediately began feeling heavy again, and keeping my eyes open turned out to be a great work. I heard him murmur something incoherent to me but just as I was about to begin to think of what he had said, I felt my eyes begin to droop.
This time, I didn't fight the peaceful darkness that followed suit and simply succumbed to it, while still in the arms of an absolute stranger…

I woke up to shuffling sounds, and when I pried my heavy eyelids open, I was shocked to discover that I was on a clinic bed and that I had an IV set passed into a vein in my arm.
My vision blurred and the only things I could make out was Alpha Trent, a middle aged doctor and a few young nurses who shied away behind the doctor like confused teenagers.
Where am I?
My face and body throbbed painfully, even my throat was so dry, it felt as though it had been continuously scraped across the length of an abrasive.
I could hear the doctor telling Alpha Trent something about someone needing tons of rest but before I could fully decipher what he was talking about, I was immediately plunged into another series of darkness.
This one wasn't as peaceful as the last but was instead plagued with nightmares from my 17th birthday eve.

"Thank you Alpha, but I'd love to go back home now." I said stubbornly to Alpha Trent who insisted that I stayed back at his pack house.
As much as I wanted to be free from Liam and his despicable family, I still didn't want to go away like this, moreover I had something of value back at my room at his slave's quarters. It was my mother's old bronze necklace, and the only thing I had left of her.
I could see the look of confusion on Alpha Trent's face, he was probably confused as to why I wanted to return to the place where I was treated terribly but I made no attempts to try to explain to him.
I didn't know how to explain it either, so it was best I left it that way.
I was shocked to realize that he knew about my ordeal back at Liam's pack and thus his reasons for not wanting me to go back there.
He had been told by someone- I don't know who- about the despicable manner I was being treated and for some odd reasons, he doesn't want me to go back there, to suffer.
"Thank you again." I whispered into the uncomfortable silence when he wouldn't say a word, turned on my heels and left his presence.
I could hear him say something about someone driving me back to my pack but I paid no attention to it.
I walked slowly, unfeelingly but as soon as I got to the driveway of his home, I was immediately ushered into a white sleek expensive looking car which drove me back to my pack.
The drive was quiet and somewhat agonizing and as soon as we arrived at my pack, my heart beat immediately picked up speed. I was frightened, extremely frightened.
I quickly rushed out of the car, literally scurried my way into the pack and desperately tried to blend in so that the fact that I went missing for a few days wouldn't be noticed.
I almost sighed out in relief when I arrived at my door unnoticed but was immediately met with nemesis for as soon as I opened the door to my room, my breath instantly hitched due to the sight in front of me.
My room was in total disarray! and to make matters worse, the culprits who were Princess Raquel and her mother stood triumphantly in the middle of the mess they had created as if waiting for me.
I could see pictures of my dead parents on the floor while a few were ripped into pieces. The scene immediately made my heart burn with intense rage.
They had no rights whatsoever to be in here!
Tears sprung into my eyes when I saw my mother's bronze necklace broken on the floor, and trickled down my face when I saw the smirks on their faces.
"You have no right to do this!" I snarled at them. I could feel the rage sizzle through my veins until it clawed at my skin wanting to get out.
I saw the shocked expression on the Queen's face at my outburst; But before I knew what was happening, she pounced on me again, hitting my body everywhere.
I screamed out in anguish when Raquel's teeth connected with my back, drawing blood, and just like before they beat me up mercilessly.
Just as I was about to pass out, a thick masculine voice sounded suddenly by the door, momentarily halting their movements… at least for nowhere near me as I had been before
