"Alright people, the entrance exam is next week, I know some of you guys have already been given positions to by the king, but you'll have to pass the entrance exam first" Akemi said as she approached the stand…
Her two hands rested the wooden flat surface.
Each of you will be forging a weapon..
She continued
And it's the grade of the weapon that will determine if you pass or not.
"What's the are we forging?" Gillian asked emotionally
After all, he was a mediocre blacksmith like the king said, unless his system is going to help him, it'd be impossible for him to forge any weapon with his own skills.
"Any weapon of your choice… dismissed!!"
The word echoed in Gillian's mind once again, how was he supposed to forge a weapon that'll impress both Akemi and probably the other people who were going to review it?
"What happens if we fail?" Steve intervened as Akemi was going away.
If anyone was going to ask, it was obviously Steve… he looked like someone who always has questions about everything, and indeed Gillian wasn't wrong either.
"Then you go back home" Akemi finally concluded…
They didn't mention a thing to them on their way, it was like a set-up…, a trap which they gladly fell into.
Gillian proceeded towards his room, his mind thinking as he left
"What am I going to forge for the entrance exam?"
There were a series of thought as to what he could forge, but forging was not that easy…
The forging of weapons or special weapons are characterized into different steps, but three main steps to be precise..
[1. Designing Blueprints
[2. Forging rudimentary shapes, like the handle…
[3. Tempering as, also know as strengthening.
The initial step could be completed using materials such as cyanotype paper, pen, and so on.
They had all these, so it was no an issue, also the better the materials used, the more crucial the information would be in the blue print.
Which brings us to the next stage, the manufacturing stage… this is where the problem lies…
The forge does have things that could be used for manufacturing…
He literally needed a lot of things for the manufacturing..
Anvil: a solid metal block serving as foundation for shaping and forming hot metals, not just any anvil, but a high quality one… because the greater the quality, more energy will be added to the metal when boiling.
A Forge, hammer, tongs, pillers….
these were just the primary tools needed for forging….
Damn, he's going to spend a lot… as all these flew through his mind… he couldn't even concentrate on where he was going.
Lastly, one needs to increase the attributes of the tools, which was more crucial… diamonds and gemstones could be added to perform that…
"What are you thinking about?"
He quickly snapped out of his thoughts as he heard this fermine voice talking to him..
Of course it was akemi… seems like she's taking this fiance's thing a lot more serious than me!? He thought
"Nothing, what bout you? Why are you at my door?" He asked as he walked towards her and sat down on the stairs leading into the room.
"What are you planning on forging for the exam?" She asked him… turning her face towards him…
"I dunno yet" he replied… taking two deep breaths, while calming himself down.
"I don't mean to ask but, is there something you're not telling me?" She asked further, adjusting her hands on her cheek.. trying to look cute.
"Get outta here, I knew you were up to something the moment I saw you!" Gillian replied, his once thoughtful face turned dark.. he got up and went inside the room.. shutting the door loudly!!
Inside his dormitory, which was dozens of square meters in size, he wondered how the system always react and answered him each time….
If he wanted to forge a weapon that'll impress everyone, he had to do it discreetly, so his blueprint won't be leaked..
What if there's a space where I can craft my weapon in the system? He thought resting his back against the wooden door…
About a few hours earlier, the system transported him into a place where he fought the scorpion, what if there's a place like that too… where I can forge in peace!!
[There's A Place Like that, but you can't just enter, you'll have to buy it… it's contained in the System Starter's Pack]
The system synthesized voice echoed in his mind…
"Alright, purchase the starter pack!!" Gillian said, looking at the translucent panel which floated in the surface.
The system quickly printed a receipt as proof that he had already purchased it
[Purchase Complete
-200CP
Balance: 40CP]
Do you want to open the starter pack?
"Yes, open it" after all he has nothing to lose, all he was hoping for at that moment was for something tangible to be inside the pack.
[Ding! Beginner Pack Opened
Congratulations on obtaining
Mythic-Grade Space
Mythic-Grade Blue Print: A chance to choose any weapon of your choice and get the blue print ]
The pack that just opened left him dumbfounded, he understood what the words meant, but added together… he was totally confused…
The system could read his mind and immediately knew he did not understand what he had just received.
[Mythic-Grade Space is a mythical void created by the system… in this place time runs different from the outside world!
The flow of time Is about 10% the speed of the outside world…
1 hour you spend in the void is equivalent to just 10 minutes in the real world.]
The system explained!
His eyes immediately filled up with excitement, after hearing such a detailed description of the Mythic-Grade Space, he could not contain his joy….
With that, he could forge as many weapon as he wants to with convenience…
If one should knows about the weapon he'd want to forge… they could forge it and pass instead of him.
He was most satisfied with the feature to slow down time by a hundred times…
As much excited as he was…, he didn't forget the other thing he had received…
Once again the system read through his mind and immediately gave a detailed explanation of the Mythic-Grade blueprint.
