Kenneth looked up to see that the flow of mana around him had returned to normal after the crystal ball was destroyed. Almost all of the enemies were dead from the explosion of mana from the device they had made themselves. Kenneth stared at the remains of the crystal ball he had destroyed, then found that someone was lying where the crystal ball should have been.
Kenneth approached the crystal ball unsteadily, then finally got close enough to realize that the figure had pointed ears like an elf. Kenneth finally forced himself to run and approach the elf. Its body was already glowing when Kenneth found it, and the glowing body slowly flew away like a grain of dust.
