As Draco, Roger, Rayleigh, and Scopper gathered around the unconscious Fredo, the gate user, Fredo's eyes fluttered open for just a moment, and he let out a piercing scream, then promptly fainted again, wetting himself in fear. Draco, Roger, and Scopper immediately took a step back, grimacing, while Rayleigh stood unfazed, watching the scene with a smirk.
Rayleigh chuckled and looked over at Draco. "So, what do you want to do with him?"
Draco crossed his arms, staring at Fredo with a cold intensity. "We'll get some information out of him, if he's got any left in that head of his."
Rayleigh gave a satisfied nod, then grabbed Fredo by the wrist, dragging him like a ragdoll as the four of them headed back to the crew. Cheers erupted from the Roger Pirates and the Skypieans as they approached, and the villagers waved in relief. Gan Fall hurried up to them, looking at Draco and the others with a mixture of awe and concern.
"W... wha... what... happened out there?" Gan Fall asked, stuttering as his gaze lingered on the obliterated portion of Upper Yard.
Draco shrugged. "It was that giant Lunarian's fault. He used his Devil Fruit to reflect my own attack back at me."
Gan Fall's eyes widened in shock, and he stumbled, dropping to his knees in despair. Seeing the old man's reaction, Draco quickly offered, "Don't worry. I'll give you guys a lot Vearth to make it up to you."
Gan Fall's face immediately brightened, and he grasped Draco's hand, shaking it enthusiastically. Draco shifted uncomfortably, but Roger burst out laughing, clapping Draco on the back.
With a grin, Roger shouted to his crew, "We'll be heading back down tomorrow! Pack up, boys!"
Gan Fall raised an eyebrow, looking at Roger. "How are you planning to get down? Do you already have a plan?"
Roger just shrugged, scratching his head. "We figured we'd just take the ship and...sink it down."
Gan Fall sighed, a faint smile breaking through his exasperation. "You really are a wild one, Roger. Well, you're lucky I'll be around to help. We'll sort everything out first thing in the morning."
[30 minutes later]
after getting back to the ship, and sneaking out again, Draco moved through the dense foliage of the jungle, determined and silent. The battle's aftermath still hung thick in the air, but Draco's focus was single-minded, finding the Devil Fruit that Levi had wielded. He recalled the deathly aura the fruit emitted. He couldn't let a power like that slip away, especially after the annoyance he just endured.
Draco began by retracing the path Levi had taken before he killed him, moving deeper into the thick vegetation. His eyes scanned every branch, every shadow, the thrill of finding a fruit was somewhat refreshing. He checked under broken branches, lifted rocks, and searched the remnants of the battlefield, knowing the fruit had to have taken some sort of fruit form around the vicinity.
Finally, just as the first hints of dawn crept into the sky, Draco's gaze fell on a peculiar spot where the ground was slightly disturbed. Kneeling, he brushed away the soil and leaves to uncover a dark, ominous fruit unlike any he'd ever seen. Its skin was pitch-black, swirling with deep dark red patterns that seemed to pulse as if alive. The mere sight of it made Draco excited.
Carefully, Draco picked up the fruit, turning it over in his hand. There was something almost sinister about it, a lingering aura of Levi's limp dead body creeped him out a bit. He let out a breath of relief before tossing it inside of his inventory.
With the Devil Fruit secure, Draco looked out over the island, the jungle stretching wide and endless around him. The morning light illuminated the devastation left behind from the night before, somewhat angered as he spent this long to find a single fruit.
[Morning]
The next day, the entire crew was up and moving, readying the ship. Meanwhile, Buggy and Shanks, still blissfully unaware of the prior night's events, remained fast asleep. As Buggy finally woke up after hearing the news he hurried over, wide-eyed and weeping, to Draco, clinging to his shirt.
"I thought you were dead! They said the island almost got destroyed!" Buggy wailed.
Without a word, Draco grabbed Buggy by the collar and tossed him into the trees. The crew burst into laughter, knowing better than to disturb Draco when he was sleeping, while Shanks watched the scene with wide eyes.
Still half-awake, Draco remembered the devastation of Upper yard, with nearly half of Upper Yard obliterated. Shanks had overheard the crew talking and had gone to see the damage himself, returning with a mix of awe and wariness toward Draco. He never really befriended Draco like buggy, but it was almost as Draco didn't really associate with him.
[After some hours]
Gan Fall finally arrived with a large bag packed full of dials. Roger leaped off the side of the ship, landing beside Gan Fall with a grin. They shook hands, and Gan Fall explained how they'd have to time the dials perfectly to avoid crashing on the descent.
Roger laughed, thanking Gan Fall for his help. Just before Gan Fall turned to leave, he called out to Draco, "Thank you for the Vearth, Draco! You've done us all a great kindness."
Draco gave a slight smile, still half-asleep in his hammock, and opened his inventory to inspect the new items. To his surprise, there was a dark, ominous-looking Devil Fruit next to a pile of gold from the City of Gold. He chuckled quietly to himself, satisfied with the spoils.
Finally, with everything ready, the crew set sail from Skypiea, bracing themselves as they re-entered the Blue Sea through a Knock Up Stream. The descent was even more treacherous than the way up, with the crew scrambling to balance the ship and time the dials correctly. All the while, Draco remained sound asleep, barely shifting in his hammock, much to the crew's amazement.
Amid the chaos, Enel, who had stayed beside Draco, looked around at the frenzied activity on deck. Turning to Buggy, who was clutching the ship's rail with a pale face, Enel asked, "So, where are we heading next once we're back down?"
Buggy, gripping tightly with a grin on his face, shouted back, "Anywhere we want! The sea's wide open!"
