"Dinner time!"
Impel Down, Level 6, Infinite Hell.
Several guards carried a huge iron pot to the worksite. At Vivian's signal, all the prisoners lined up, drooling as they waited by the pot.
"Is it fried rice again today?"
"But that guy's fried rice is really good. No matter how many times I eat it, I never get tired of it."
A few prisoners whispered among themselves.
They weren't all Level 6 prisoners; some were assigned from Levels 1 and 2, as evidenced by Buggy drooling in the line.
Interestingly, not only did Luffy not come to rescue anyone from Impel Down, but Blackbeard, who sneaked in, was also punished by Fujitora and Magellan. As a result, only one pirate was rescued from Level 6: Shiryu of the Rain.
Because of this, the heavily injured Blackbeard didn't go to Marineford to cause trouble and absorb Whitebeard's Gura Gura no Mi power to become a new Yonko.
This is the butterfly effect.
If Vivian hadn't told Rayleigh that Ace was Roger's son at Sabaody Archipelago; if he hadn't found Fujitora and brought him to Impel Down, Whitebeard might not have escaped his fate.
So, it's fair to say that 99% of the credit goes to him.
As for Buggy, who would become a Yonko in the original story...
If no one with a stronger presence than Luffy or Blackbeard comes to break him out, Vivian estimates that the big red-nosed pirate will likely spend the rest of his days in this dark prison.
After serving the food, the prisoners ate with great relish. Although it looked like ordinary seafood fried rice, Vivian's master-level cooking made it taste magical. Once you took a bite, you couldn't stop.
The new prisoner with green hair had already piled up bowls almost as tall as himself.
"Hey, are you a glutton? How can others eat if you eat so much?"
A guard was about to kick the green-haired prisoner in the face, but Vivian stopped him.
"It's okay, I'll cook more if needed. It only takes a few minutes," he said with a smile, then turned to the green-haired prisoner. "Hey, you've been in prison for over half a month without touching a sword. Your hands must be itching, right?"
The green-haired prisoner immediately put down his bowl, looking energized.
"After dinner and work, come to the yard. I want to spar with you."
Vivian smiled, then turned and went back to the kitchen, smoking a cigarette.
The green-haired prisoner watched him for a moment, then continued eating voraciously.
...
Elsewhere.
Vivian, smoking and effortlessly handling a giant iron pot twice his size, impressed the guards with his strength.
"When you deliver the food later, throw the green-haired prisoner's three swords into his cell."
"But..."
The guards hesitated. "Chief Vivian, that prisoner isn't a Devil Fruit user."
"Yeah, giving a swordsman his swords back might not be a good idea."
They were all scared, knowing they couldn't bear the consequences if something went wrong.
"Don't worry, just do as I say. If there's any trouble, say it was my order and put the blame on me."
Of course, he knew the guy was a swordsman.
He personally captured him, after all.
Yes, the green-haired prisoner was indeed a member of the Straw Hat Pirates, one of the main characters, Roronoa Zoro.
Over half a month ago, Vivian stopped Zoro from killing Saint Charlos on the Sabaody Archipelago and threw him onto a marine ship, which then took Zoro to Impel Down.
So, while Vivian and Luffy were fighting at Marineford, Zoro was already in Level 6 of the prison, eating prison food.
Originally, Vivian had planned to find an opportunity to release Zoro amidst the chaos. However, everything happened too quickly, and he ended up being sent to Whitebeard's territory by Kuma, leading to Zoro's eventual imprisonment.
This was quite awkward.
According to the original storyline, Zoro should have been sent to Kuraigana Island by Kuma to train under Mihawk for two years, learning swordsmanship and Haki. But now…
"Haki can be taught by Uncle Issho, but what about swordsmanship?"
Although Fujitora's swordsmanship is decent, it pales in comparison to Mihawk's.
"Can't expect me to teach him swordsmanship, right?" Vivian thought.
Apart from Thunder Breathing, his swordsmanship probably couldn't match Zoro's current level.
"Maybe I should teach him Thunder Breathing?"
He had always been curious to see if anyone in the One Piece world could learn this technique unique to the Demon Slayer universe.
"If he really learns it, wouldn't that make me Zoro's teacher?"
Being the teacher of the future world's greatest swordsman sounded pretty good.
Muttering to himself, he found himself cooking with more enthusiasm.
Four hours later.
Level 6 playground.
It was more of an open space left after demolishing the cells near the stairs.
As for why the cells were demolished…
Vivian had suggested to Magellan a few days ago to convert Level 6 into a school to educate the prisoners.
Initially, Magellan disagreed, but when Vivian offered to cover all the expenses and the prison's food costs for the next two years, Magellan hesitated for 0.1 seconds before reluctantly agreeing.
Meanwhile…
"Draw your sword and defeat me with all your might."
Vivian placed his right hand on the hilt of his Blood Demon Sword, smiling at Zoro like a father looking at his son, filled with pride and affection.
Zoro: "…"
Is this guy planning to humiliate me again?
Frowning, Zoro drew his three swords, holding one in his mouth.
Thinking about his previous defeat and capture by Vivian, he was filled with anger.
"Give me another chance, and I will defeat him…"
With this thought, as Vivian took his stance…
"Three-Sword Style: Tiger Hunt!"
With a roar, Zoro's muscles bulged, and he swung all three swords at Vivian simultaneously.
