Nagic requested Finn to allow him to be the one to remove the key.
Finn didn't have a problem with it. At this point he trusted Nagic… and Nagic was too weak to betray him here.
This place was a Beyond, Nagic couldn't get external help, the best he could do to damage Finn was to use magical artifacts and Finn was at alert against any of that.
Finn also had Anatalia, who could now transform into an ancient beast, as a companion. She could support him in taking Nagic down in a case where things flip.
'I can't really remember her transformation, I only sensed a strong presence then. Should I ask her about it…? That may be rude though…'
