As her thoughts traveled toward the other being, the ground suddenly shook, and a few miniature tentacles appeared around the two of them.
Amanda scoffed inwardly and rapidly twisted her body around, destroying the tentacles before they could even reach her.
But, despite her expectations, the pieces scattered all around before finally combining into multiple miniature ones and regrowing once again.
'Just like the rest... these are also troublesome. But why is that thing not acting?' Amanda surmised with a sigh and looked upwards at the massive eye and tentacle that had not made any moves ever since her answer.
Rebecca seemed to still be doing pretty badly, but at least she could stand and defend herself. It was not all hopeless.
Evading an incoming tentacle, Amanda used her poison on it; immediately, it deteriorated, and the time it took to regrow increased, giving her a bit more leeway to move around and even help Rebecca.
