Azaria 'Ziya' Point of View
The past two weeks have been...rough, to say the least. Khali and I decided it was time to have a family meeting with Caspian, Zahair, and Kamari. We wanted to discuss what it would mean for them to officially join our family and what their roles would be in the kingdom. Khali and I had been preparing for this conversation for days, but even so, I felt a knot of anxiety in my stomach as we sat down with the children.
The boys sat side by side on the couch, a small distance between them that spoke volumes about their unease. Kamari sat on the floor at their feet, her legs crossed, playing with the hem of her dress. I took a deep breath and started the conversation.
"We wanted to talk to you about something important," I began, looking at each of them in turn. "You've all been through a lot recently, and we want to make sure that you feel safe and loved here with us."
