Stephanie's Point of View
"Steph, what are you doing?"
I turned to see Adah, my friend, and the pack's head maid, standing there. Her eyes were wide with concern, her hands wringing nervously in front of her.
"Adah," I said, my voice trembling. "I… I need to do this. I need to make them understand."
Adah stepped closer, her brow furrowed. "Understand what, Steph? That you're losing your mind? That you're becoming as bad as Ethan?"
I shook my head, tears streaming down my face. "No, Adah. I need to show Azi. I need to make her see that I still love her. That I'm still the one who cares."
Adah reached out, grabbing my arm. "Steph, listen to yourself," she said urgently. "This isn't you. You don't hurt people. You don't hurt children. Azaria wouldn't want this. She wouldn't want you to become this."
