Meanwhile, in the main castle, the Fang Master and Shadow Master were meeting with the King. The King had been acting strangely since the first day of exams, even refusing to attend the Offering Ceremony and the upcoming banquet. There was an unusual tension in the air, one that neither master could quite place.

 

"Well… what did 203 say?" the King asked, trying to gauge the Fang Master's reaction.

 

"N-Nothing, she has until the banquet to make her choice. But is all this really necessary? I mean, she is quite skilled, but we haven't vexed her enough for either division, not to mention, her wolf being bigger than most lycans." The Shadow Master's voice held a note of frustration, unsure why the

 

King was so focused on this particular candidate.
