Evie woke up groaning."Uh I have a terrible headache." She managed to get up and go to the bathroom. She almost slipped on the marble tiles.Goaning she supported her self with the wall a loud sigh was released. "Marriage,but I'm not even ready yeah I'm old enough now to be married at least can't I fall in love first." Evie shakes her head miserably when she realised she was talking to her self."It's better if I just pour it all in front of dad or mom,and if they refused Dylan will be my next option ."
Evie got ready and then went downstairs to have breakfast. "Good morning mom good morning dad and Dylan." "Good morning I'm sure you have thought about what I told you last night." "I did and what I didn't understand was why I have to marry before my older brother and why you also have to choose my suitor." "Evie dear,it's just that your dad is watching out for you and Dylan is in no position to get married."
Evie looked at Dylan and he gave back a nervous smile "And I'm in the best position to get married hell mom I'm in school." "No swearing Evielyn, after careful consideration we made a line of fine suitors and came to one we concluded will be best for you and again in few months to come you would soon finish school." Evie watched her dad as he spoke. "Danny and Lana would also marry to the siblings of your suitor." "What?! this is crazy, why are you getting involved in our life."
Evie said almost shouting "Because we are your guardians and parents. After careful consideration myself and Lana's dad and also Danny's dad came to this conclusion." Evie's dad was best friends with Lana and Danny's dad. They've been close since childhood helping each other build their name from scratch,because of them Evie and Lana and Danny became inseparable.
"I'm getting late for school." Evie stood up and left the dinning. Evie's reaction was no less than Lana and Danny reaction. "I guess we all got the news." Evie said quickly when Danny and Lana met with her."Yeah like seriously ever since I heard the news it feels like my whole world collided with the word marriage." Lana said obviously feeling scared. "What's even scary is they refused to name our partner's." Danny said worry clearly written on his face. "I knew seeing Katherine was a bad thing, she's a living disaster." Evie said.
"I was left with no choice when they started talking of my marriage." "This is like the worst nightmare I can ever have." The bells rang signalling first session was a had started. "Let's just go,I also wish I never get to see Katherine again for this week I fear more bad lucks." Evie said dragging her legs towards her class.
What ever the teacher taught at that moment entered the ears of the three friends but not their brains. "Finally the period is over." Lana said testing her head on her table. "I was starting to feel dead." Evie was quite thinking how marriage life would suit her. "This is bullshit mark my words." Evie said after realising that she never took the prospect of marriage seriously. "It's break already but I don't seriously feel like going out u have a lot on my plate."
"I'm not going as well." " Me too I don't have appetite." Danny said closing his eyes. " If we are going to get this to work it's going to be a team effort. And I'm not much of a team player my self." Evie thought to herself.
Ryan took a shower and was resting on his bed his phone suddenly rang it was his dad Mr. Reign "Hello dad." "Where are you Ryan I thought you said you were coming home." "I am this Thursday,what do you want to talk about." He said going straight to the point. His dad as well not wanting to beat around the bush got to the point."Your mother found you a partner she fears you might not make the right choice."
Ryan propped himself up properly. "What the hell does she mean by not making the right choice." "She thinks you are wasting your uhmm vitality in messing around." "And why is she worried." "I specifically want a grand child and knowing it's your mother choice I trust it is the best judgement." "What about my judgement then I make the rules concerning my life." "And I make the repairs when you go around sleeping with ladies."

"I never liked your lifestyle but it's time for you to settle down I told you to take up our family company you said you had a dream to pursue in music ok your mom begged daily for you I agreed if you can't do this for me think about your mom." Ryan was quite for a long time his mom meant a lot to him though he sometimes shouted in front of her or yelled at her she meant a lot to him." "Okay." He hunged up and went to sleep.
Evie walked sluggishly to the living room. " I'm home." She said in tone that didn't sound like her usual cheerful tone. She dropped her bag and slumped on her chair. Tears fell down her cheeks. Her mom stilled for a moment when she saw her daughter crying. She went to hug her daughter the urge to pacify her daughter growing increasingly. "It's just a marriage it's not that hard to beat." "It's a long life commitment and I don't want get married now."
"It's okay I understand and I need you to also understand that this is purely for your own good." Evie clean her eyes and went upstairs to her room feeling less miserable. For Lana it only got worse each time from where it stood. "Marriage is a together thing and I'm more of a independent lady." "Who says marriage makes you dependent a few touches here and there and you can be independent." Her dad said calmly.
"But I'm kinda used to be a lone person." "Marriage is a like a fruitful thing it gives birth to this beautiful feeling called love." Lana's mom said as she looked at her husband. Lana rolled her eyes at her parents. "I can't do this." Lana being more a fighter decided to argue with her parents."
Danny's case was quite different he didn't argue with his parents and their decisions."if that's what makes you happy mom then consider done." He told his mom. He understood the situation. his father wanted a good relationship with company that could be useful to them using his marriage as a draw in factor and a means to also get grandchildren his father considered it a win win situation
