Chapter 25: Supply Base

July 31st, evening, at the entrance of the Supply Base. A four-wheel drive pickup truck, accompanied by the last rays of sunlight, entered the supply base. When Qin Mu got out of the car, many people in the supply base recognized him.

"I'll be damned! This kid actually came back. Didn't I hear he was already dead? He, a prospective fighter, actually stayed in the wilderness for eleven days all by himself!" Someone exclaimed in surprise.

"Look at his backpack; it seems to be filled with monster materials." Someone else was full of curiosity.

"Uh, do you know that the Blood Wolf Squad opened a betting pool in the camp, betting on whether he would return?" Someone else had a sorrowful expression.

"Of course I know! I even bet a lot of money..."

Carrying a backpack filled with monster materials and listening to the surrounding fighters' discussions, Qin Mu smiled. When he left the supply base, it caused quite a stir, and most people in the base had heard about him. However, the vast majority of people only regarded him as an ignorant fool, a joke. But now, everyone was shocked. How could they know that Qin Mu had undergone a metamorphosis during this trip?

When he left, he was just a small prospective fighter, but now he had leaped to become a high-level fighter and an intermediate Warlord Spirit Master.

"Hey, I heard that the Blood Wolf Squad just returned to the supply base too. It seems they suffered a considerable loss in the wilderness. I wonder if Qin Mu will clash with the Blood Wolf Squad."

Ignoring these onlookers, Qin Mu headed straight for the area where the HR Alliance's local representative was located. As he walked, Qin Mu turned on the communication watch on his wrist. After entering the wilderness, Qin Mu had turned off this communication watch. Because Qin Mu knew that this device actually had a backdoor. As long as one had the authority, they could track the wearer's location. Qin Mu was going to hatch the Nest, so he certainly wouldn't let others know where he had been. However, now that he was going to sell monster materials and had already returned to the base, he naturally had to turn it on.

The reason he went directly to sell the monster materials to the HR Alliance was that they generally offered the highest prices. Of course, selling to the HR Alliance only meant getting money. If sold to the Limit Dojo, one could earn contribution points, but that was only if you were a member of the Limit Dojo. Selling to the military or the Thunder Dojo was similar, accumulating contribution points and the like, just with different names. Since Qin Mu hadn't joined any forces yet, selling to the HR Alliance was the most profitable.

"Let's go, follow him and see what monsters Qin Mu hunted." Some troublemakers followed behind, full of curiosity.

"What's there to see? It's probably just some low-level soldier-ranked monster materials. A prospective fighter, what kind of monsters can he kill?" Although someone said this, quite a few people still followed.

The life of a fighter was actually quite monotonous, either fighting monsters or training desperately. The supply base hadn't been this lively in a long time. Who didn't like to watch the excitement? Especially such a rare spectacle that hadn't been seen in many years.

Qin Mu heard this and chuckled inwardly. In his backpack, there were materials from two Commander rank monsters, as well as dozens of horns from high-level soldier-ranked Single-Horned Wild Boars, which Qin Mu used as consumables. Qin Mu had no intention of hiding his strength, so he didn't mind others knowing what materials he was selling. He wasn't Luo Feng. In the upcoming fighter practical exam, Qin Mu would fully display his talent to strive for the best treatment.

The Fighter Supply Base wasn't large, and soon, Qin Mu arrived at his destination.

"Good evening, sir. Are you here to sell monster materials?" A sweet-voiced, attractive young girl in HR Alliance professional attire quickly stepped forward to greet him.

"Yes."

Qin Mu responded, opening his backpack and placing it on a platform. There were professionals nearby who would appraise the value of the monsters hunted by the fighters. A staff member walked up to the backpack and took out the materials one by one.

"This is the horn of a Single-Horned Wild Boar? Judging by the size and color, it's at least from a high-level soldier-ranked Single-Horned Wild Boar." Before the HR Alliance staff could speak, a sharp-eyed fighter in the crowd said. "There's more than one, my God, they're all high-level soldier-ranked horns, thirty in total!"

There was an uproar in the crowd. It was just some high-level soldier-ranked materials, which wasn't much for many present. But this was a prospective fighter who had hunted these alone in the wilderness.

The significance of this was entirely different.

When the staff member took out a tendon from the tail of a Two-Tailed Tiger Cat, the crowd, which had been discussing, was stunned.

"What the hell! What is this? Am I seeing things? Is this a tendon from the tail of a Two-Tailed Tiger Cat? That's a primary Commander rank monster!"

"Can a prospective fighter really kill such a monster? Impossible! Absolutely impossible! It must have been hunted by someone else."

When the staff member took out the materials from the two Commander rank monsters, everyone looked on in disbelief.

"Mr. Qin, the monster materials you collected include these high-level soldier-ranked Single-Horned Wild Boar horns. According to the price, we can offer you 8,000 per horn, totaling 240,000. The materials from this Two-Tailed Tiger Cat, due to some severe damage, we can offer 11 million. The materials from this Tiger Mastiff, we can offer 10 million. That's a total of 21.24 million." Soon, the HR Alliance staff finished the appraisal and gave the quote.

"No problem, transfer the money to this account." Qin Mu provided a card number to the staff member.

"Okay."

Seeing the transaction completed, the crowd erupted into intense chatter.

"They really are Commander rank monsters! And two of them? Even a fighter squad led by a Warlord entering the wilderness wouldn't earn much more than this, right?"

Everyone was shocked.

"Brother, these monsters were really hunted by you alone?" A middle-aged burly man in the crowd couldn't help but ask. Hearing this question, everyone curiously stared at Qin Mu, waiting for his answer.

"Hehe, what do you think?" Qin Mu chuckled, not answering directly. Seeing the balance change information on his communication watch, Qin Mu was in a great mood. Although there was no direct answer, looking at Qin Mu's expression, one could guess the truth, but this truth was a bit hard to accept.

"Brother Qin Mu." Suddenly, a bald, one-eyed burly man stepped out of the crowd and shouted at Qin Mu.

"Brother Qin Mu, I'm Zhao Yong, the captain of the Blood Wolf Squad. Previously, one of our squad members was immature and opened a betting pool about you. I was in training at the time and didn't know about it. Later, when I found out, many people had already bet money, and you had already entered the wilderness, so I couldn't handle it."

The bald burly man apologized with a face full of regret, transferring money to Qin Mu through his communication watch.

"Brother Qin Mu, here's 1 million. You bet 10,000, gambling that you could stay in the wilderness for five days, with odds of 1:5, so here's 50,000 for you. The rest is our Blood Wolf Squad's apology. I hope you don't mind."

Qin Mu raised an eyebrow, not expecting this person to be the captain of the Blood Wolf Squad. Without refusing, Qin Mu accepted the money.

"It's fine, I didn't suffer any losses." Qin Mu didn't hold a grudge. To be honest, at first, Qin Mu was a bit angry about this, but since the other party had already said so, Qin Mu just laughed it off, and the matter was over. As for the truth, whether it was his squad member being immature or seeing Qin Mu's extraordinary strength and finding a way out, it didn't matter. The other party had already shown weakness and didn't want to make an enemy, and Qin Mu wasn't the kind of person who would kill someone's entire family over a disagreement.

"If there's nothing else, I'll be on my way." Qin Mu waved at the crowd and left gracefully. He still had to rush back to Jiangnan Base City, return to Yangzhou City, and participate in tomorrow's fighter practical exam.

What Qin Mu didn't know was that as he turned and left, countless people were contacting their families, superiors, and investigating his identity information. A prospective fighter who hadn't even participated in the practical exam could hunt Commander rank monsters. What kind of genius was this?

Of course, even if Qin Mu knew, he wouldn't care, or rather, this was the message he wanted to convey to the outside world.
