A dark skinned man in a blue truck repeatedly honked his horn at the slow traffic ahead of him.
"Damn it, we've been in traffic for almost two hours now, this is ridiculous." He said with annoyance as he glanced around the car seeing his wife and son playing on there phones.
"Tsk." He smacked his teeth impatiently as he tapped the steering wheel.
The boy in the back sit looked up from his phone noticing his fathers increasing bad mood.
Yesterday was his birthday, he finally become twelve years old, they had flown out to see his grandparents in Japan to celebrate. But were now late for the return flight back to America.
The boy smiled while looking out the window, he can't wait to get back to school and show his friends the things…

He suddenly felt the car accelerate before suddenly jerking left and right causing him to become queasy.
"Henry, please watch where your going! Oh my god!" He heard his mom shout before a truck suddenly collided with the side of there car, causing it to flip.
(Boom)
The car rolled before coming to a stop flipped upside down as the impact left rubble and oil splattered around the ground,
"Cough, cough."
The boy pushed the broken car door as he crawled out the destroyed car, he gritted his teeth as glass and shards of metal poked his hands and knees.
He head felt muddy and he couldn't put a thought together, but his instincts told him to get out of the car fast.
He crawled for a couple minutes managing to make it a couple feet away from the car before he heard a bang from behind him, his turned to see a fire burst from the top of the car.
His eyes widened as his mind started to focus and saw his parents dangling from there seats passed out.
"Mom, Dad!" He yelled as he struggled to stand up and make his way back towards the car, not caring about the fire spreading along it.
His yell seemed to stir his mom awake as her eyes fluttered, she looked around in confusion before her face turned to one of horror as she glanced at her husband.
His head was caved in, part of the cars side bashed into it when the car was flipping.
"Ahh, oh my god! Help, someone help!" She yelled in hysteria as she struggled to get free from the burning car.
"Mom, mom!" The boy yelled as he made it to her door and began pulling at it too get it opened,
The women head snapped to her side, tears streaming down her face as she looked at her injured son's head covered in blood.
"Maurice, my baby, thank god your okay." She said feeling herself become delirious and weak as blood dripped down her face.
"Mom, you have to push the door while I pull at it." Maurice yelled as his hands began to burn from the spreading fire.
Nodding, she began pushing it after making sure it was unlocked, managing to get it open just as another bang sounded from the car.
Fire burst from the back causing smoke and fire to fill the the area making it hard to breathe and see.
Alarmed they both hurried to get the sit belt off of her just as sirens began to be heard not far from them,
"I got you, I got you." Maurice said as he helped his mom out the car and managed to walk a couple feet away from the car just as a fire truck and ambulance stopped not far from them.

Suddenly time stilled for Maurice as he felt the heat from the car exploding on his back, on instinct he pushed his mother towards the approaching firman.
Something suddenly hit the back of his head, causing him to hit the ground with a thud.
Then everything started to turned black but as he went unconscious he thought he saw a man with glasses wearing a white cloak, appearing in front of him.

Maurice struggled to open his eyes as he heard a constant beeping sound in his ear, his eyes lids fluttered open and closed as he adjusted to the bright room light.
"Damn, what happened? I'm sore as hell." He thought as he could barely move a finger, laying back he adjusted to waking up as his thoughts started to gather.

Suddenly a women's voice echoed in his mind along with a buzzing to censor one of the words she said.
"What?" Maurice said bewildered as he struggled to look around the room only to confirm that it was empty.
"What the hell?" He said in confusion before thinking that it was just his injuries getting to him.

Hearing the voice again he freaked out with a little bit of fear appearing in his eyes as he looked at the empty room that now spooked him out.
Nervous and with a little apprehension he decided to do what the voice said.
"Status." Maurice muttered jumping in shock as a see through green screen appeared in front of him.

Seeing the chooses, he wanted to scratch his head in confusion, the only one he heard of was KI. Some of the anime he watched when he was younger used that term often.
"What is Reir..youku?" Maurice said in confusion before suddenly another screen popped up.

Seeing the description he had to wonder if he was still sleeping or if this was all caused by a brain injury.

Annoyed he muttered one of the energy's he saw on the list as he tried to sleep, thinking his mind was playing tricks.

Maurice's eyes flew open as he suddenly felt a rush of something inside him, it felt like adrenaline but different as if he could control it.
He felt like his mind was controlling it? No that wasn't right, it felt more like a weight that was always inside of him suddenly got heavy and he was a adjusting to the weight and moving it.
In bewilderment he felt his injuries start to heal as his condition became better and better.

Maurice was shocked as he looked at the status window, the reality that what was happening being real, caused him to go silent for a moment.

Maurice sighed as he dismissed the screens with a thought as he leaned back into his hospital bed somberly.

"Dads gone." He muttered looking out the window of his room with sadness.
His dad wasn't the best since he was prone to having outbursts of anger, but he never hit him or his mom, it would just be angry rants that he would shout in their face every now and then.
His dad had a hard knock life and didn't know his parents and he did his best to never have a physical altercation due to his outbursts.
His mother had a intervention for him last week and had finally conviced him to try therapy, he had agreed to it.

He suddenly heard a child's echo in his room in a menacing voice, just as a alert suddenly popped up, his head jerked to the wall near the door as it seemed to distort and ripple.
A child slowly walked through the wall with a chain in the middle of her chest that appeared to be getting shorter, being eaten by small mouths.
Her eyes were pitch black with flowing white substance coming out of her eyes sockets and mouth, slowly consuming the child's face.
"Why did they leave me!"
Maurice suddenly dived off the bed, ripping all the cords attached to him off, just as the girl sprung forward smashing the bed under her, landing feet first crouching in its debris.
Maurice was terrified and confused as he looked at the girl twitch and spaz on the destroyed bed.
"What the fuck is happening." He asked to himself in freight, as he scooted till his back hit the wall and he briefly looked at the green notification.

Looking at the options he gritted his teeth, since there was literally no path out of this, he selected option one.
"RRAAGWW!" The Hollow suddenly roared as a white helmet fully formed around its head and its body began transforming into a bipedal form.
Terrified he quickly went into the ability store to buy anything that would get him out of danger.

Smacking his teeth he quickly went to buy the level 1 Reiatsu manipulation.

"Fuck! Come on!" Maurice yelled as he quickly spent the points to get the acquired abilities.

Maurice briefly closed his eyes as he felt the energy inside him grow along with information for a technique named Shunpo or flash step filling his head.
His opened his eyes showing a blue spark flash inside them as his energy continued to grow with his control increasing.
"Delicious! Something smells so delicious!" The hollow roared fully transformed before it squated down then leaping at Maurice with its mouth wide open.
Maurice glared at the beast as he stood straight, he then bravely took a single step towards the incoming hollow.

Maurice gasped for breath as he impacted the wall on the other side of the room, leaving cracks falling around him.
Blood burst from his legs as the strain put on his body went over its limits.
"Fuck, fuck! It hurts why didn't it say something before I used it!" Maurice screamed in his head as he slumped down from the cracked wall on to the ground.
"Food, food! FOOD!" Th's hollow roared as it turned around pouncing towards Maurice with saliva dripping from its open mouth.
"Fuck, all points to physical." Maurice yelled out as he struggled to stand up with blood pooling around him.

Just as the hollow was about to take a chomp out of Maurice head, he took a step forward and vanished from under the hollows bite.

Maurice reappeared sliding on the ground before hitting the wall with a crash, dropping to the ground. He looked up hazily at the hollow looking around for him in confusion before spotting him.
"Damn." Maurice muttered as he watched the beast walk towards him licking the splattered blood on the ground.
"Food! Food!" It roard in hungry as it approached the down boy.
As Maurice struggled to not pass out he watched the monster get closer towards him with its mouth opening wide to swallow him whole.
"Well, fuck." Maurice thought for the last time as he closed his eyes.
"Wow can't have that now can we." A voice suddenly said before the hollow was suddenly launched across the room.
The hollow dented the wall as it impacted it, letting out a whimper as it swayed on its feet and glared at the new enemy.
"Damn kid this thing fucked you up." Maurice heard a voice whisper above him, but he couldn't muster the energy to pry open his eyes as his conscious started to drift.
"Holy crap I made it! I'm saved." Maurice thought before he passed out.
