Chapter 5 - Why us? (2)

Takeshi and Akari are summoned by the conquerors, while Rikuu and Ichika have various appointments. Takeshi and Akari are traveling through the woodland when they notice something moving in the underbrush. "Exhibit yourself!Takeshi yelled. Some dude showed himself. He had on Kaosu's Coat on. but with just two kneaded crowns. "Okay, okay, okay. The member of Kaosu remarked, "You've got some good sense on your surroundings huh." Takeshi noticed a second code affixed to the coat of his opponent. "Is that you? Are you the one who put them down?"I'm so angry, Akari yelled. Takeshi bumped into their karambit-wielding opponent. He made an attempt to knife his opponent, but failed. "Oh, how kind of you, you haven't killed me yet," the adversary insulted them both. "I'm asking you aren't I? Akari said, pointing her gun at their opponent. Have you slain my family members? With a playful tone, the opponent shot back, "No, and if i am, I'll have more joy seeing you devastated." Takeshi repeatedly attempted to strike the opponent. Even though Akari was firing at their opponent, not a single shot connected. Their opponent was not killed by them. The opponent responded, "Maybe you need more skills before fighting, huh." They kept reaching for their rival. However, they were unable to. Though they now appear worn out, they are adamant about continuing. Takeshi attempted to sever his opponent's right chest once more, but when he managed to get a small piece of coat, the opponent opened his eyes wide in surprise. Akari then shot him in the right chest. "What the devil is this? The opponent's final statement. Did you really believe we were so helpless? Perhaps we are, but Akari insulted him, "Our intelligence cannot be passed to someone pleasant like you."

(Flashback)

Before Takeshi and Akari left their refuge, they had a chat concerning the code. Takeshi gave Akari a call. "What do you want from me?Akari enquired. Takeshi chatted with her about the code. Akari became perplexed but paid close attention when she was told, "Well, if you remember the code, you'll understand what i'll say." "That code was printed on a paper product, correct? Additionally, the paper appears to be stuck inside a clothing. Takeshi added, "If you recall the coat that Rikuu discovered, you will discover that the code written on the paper that was adhered to a garment, the coat's garment, and the code where it was adhered were the same. "And how about that?Akari enquired. It's easy; just keep in mind the appearance of the coat and the code. We may run into some Kaosu members en route to the headquarters. On the way to the headquarters, we might run into some Kaosu members. If we do, keep in mind not to kill them until we have their code. Takeshi answered, "It will assist us in finding more hints and conducting research. "However, didn't big brother advise you to never bring it up with the higher authorities?Akari enquired. Takeshi answered, "Yes. This will remain a secret. Returning to the plan, Takeshi said, "If we encounter an enemy, don't kill them unless we have the code."

(Back to present)

It isn't feasible, it isn't... The opponent died. Now that they acquired another code, they gathered it on a locked bag along with the original code.

Upon arriving at the headquarters, Shoto greeted them and inquired, "Have you encountered any adversaries throughout your journey here?Takeshi answered, "Yes, a few members of Kaosu." Akari gave Takeshi a worried glance. Akari was asking herself in her head, "What is this man doing? Will he really betray my brother in this manner?" Shoto asked Takeshi "Did you uncover any evidences?Takeshi just replied, "No," and Shoto immediately began to believe it. Takeshi's white lie eased Akari. "May I ask you a question?" Takeshi said to the higher ups. What does the crown on our jackets symbolize, and why do some have 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and some not at all?Nagisa gave him an explanation of the clan ranking structure.

We do, however, have a clan hierarchy. It is possessed by every clan in Japan. If you don't have a crown, you are merely a member or beginner. One crown designates an explorer—someone who searches for proof and indications of their adversary's clan. The two crowns stand for Challenger; they are the ones that fight and intervene at criminal situations. Three crowns indicate Deffier status. Takeshi and Akari, who perform the roles of both Explorer and Challenger, are ranked Deffier together with Rikuu and Ichika. Commanders, denoted by the four crowns, are those who, depending on the goal of the clan, assist in investigating crime scenes or committing crimes. Finally, the rank of "five crown" denotes Conqueror; these are the superiors who delegate tasks to those in lower ranks after completing all of the clan members' assignments.
