Synopsis
In a world plagued by conflict between races, a mysterious force called mana has changed the order of life. This world is inhabited by various races, including humans, elves, dwarves, and orcs, who compete with each other to control this new power. After prolonged conflicts, the human, elf, and dwarf races decide to cooperate and form an alliance to defeat the orc race. Amidst this chaos, a boy named Ardyn lives in the village of Bria with his aunt Eladra, his uncle Darius, and his twin siblings Eldric and Lyron. In this world filled with mana, there are several types of powers, one of which is elemental powers, such as fire, water, earth, wind, lightning, plants, and three rare elements: light, shadow, and blood. A user of elemental power can usually control at least one element. Ardyn, who is only nine years old, has the ability to control all the elements. He often trains with his cousin, Kael Aurum, and his friends, Nolan and Rian. However, behind their everyday laughter and friendship, Ardyn is haunted by nightmares of a dark future—a future in which he will become the harbinger of destruction for everyone he loves. The first volume of Threads of Fate follows Ardyn's journey in mastering his elemental powers and preparing for the Mana Academy. Alongside Kael, Nolan, and Rian, Ardyn faces various challenges.

Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1: BATTLE IN THE TRAINING FIELD

In the peaceful village of Bria, the sky was clear, with the sun casting a golden glow. A gentle morning breeze blew, carrying the scent of damp earth from the dew of the previous night. In a wide training field, Ardyn and Kael were engaged in an intense duel.

"Watch out, Kael!" shouted Ardyn, launching a blazing fire attack from his palm. Kael swiftly dodged, activating a shield of light to block the strike.

Rian and Nolan stood at the edge of the field, watching with enthusiasm. Rian, with his bright yellow hair tied neatly, closely analyzed every move Ardyn made, while Nolan, with sharp eyes and a calm expression, observed from a safe distance.

"What do you think of their training today?" Nolan asked Rian.

"Impressive," replied Rian with a smile. "Ardyn has really mastered multiple elements. Kael may have more experience with Light, but Ardyn can handle almost everything."

Nolan nodded. "Yes, but that's also a burden. Being able to control all elements might seem impressive, but it comes with many challenges. Each element has its own strengths and weaknesses."

The duel between Ardyn and Kael continued. Kael launched a fast-flowing light attack, but Ardyn quickly countered with a wave of water that halted the strike. "You still need to be quicker, Kael!" Ardyn called out with a smile.

"And you need to be more challenging, Ardyn!" Kael retorted, unleashing an even more intense light attack.

After a while, their training session ended. Though exhausted, both Ardyn and Kael looked satisfied. Rian and Nolan approached, joining the conversation.

"Ardyn," Rian began, "I've been thinking about how you can control multiple elements. It seems like you're getting better every day. Is there any element that's harder for you to control?"

Ardyn nodded. "Yes, some elements are definitely more challenging. Each element has its own characteristics and requires a different approach. But I'm still learning, and Kael has been a great help."

Nolan added, "It must take consistent practice and determination. I'm sure you'll continue to improve quickly if you stay focused and dedicated."

Ardyn smiled. "Thank you, Nolan. I'll keep working hard. This training is very important for me."

As the sun began to set towards the west, the atmosphere on the training field became calmer. The four friends started preparing to head home. Ardyn and Kael walked together, with Rian and Nolan following behind.

"Let's head home," said Kael, "we can practice again tomorrow."

Ardyn smiled. "Yes, and maybe we can discuss more about techniques and training strategies."

The four friends left the training field, chatting about the day's session and planning their next practice. Nightfall was approaching in the village of Bria, bringing a sense of peace after a busy day.

As they reached the crossroads leading to their respective homes, they said their goodbyes. "See you tomorrow!" shouted Ardyn.

"See you!" Rian, Nolan, and Kael replied in unison, before they parted ways and headed home.

With a light step, Ardyn walked towards his aunt Eladra's house, deep in thought about how strong he could become. "How strong will I become? Will I be able to control all these elements perfectly?" he wondered, looking at his palm.

"Yes, I need to keep training to master them!" he thought to himself again, until he finally arrived at his aunt's house.
