After a while, Erlinda took the stage in the middle of the garden and made a speech. Then, everyone was free to donate in the boxes set up around the stage. There was no order or amount required for the donations, and everyone could donate as they pleased. Some people put checks into the box, some took off their expensive jewelry, and some directly transferred funds.
Attlee and Olga shared a glance, planning to escape to the restroom, but they were surrounded by guests curious about their donation amount.
