Chapter 16 - Chapter - 16 (18+)

His eyes widened in horror, and a guttural scream tore from his throat, shattering the sensual atmosphere of the room. "No! What the hell is happening?" he yelled, jumping up from the bed as if struck by lightning.

The woman, startled by his sudden outburst, sat up and looked at him with confusion. "Kaito, what's wrong?" she asked, her tone laced with concern, but he didn't respond.

Kaito frantically checked himself again, his breathing erratic. The reality of his condition hit him like a tidal wave, and he stumbled backward, his face pale and his body trembling.

"This... this can't be real," he muttered, his voice breaking as he clutched his head in despair, utterly distraught and confused by the inexplicable loss.

His mind racing to comprehend the impossible. He reached out to touch the area where his penis should have been, but his trembling fingers met nothing but smooth skin.

No, no, no! This can't be happening!

His eyes darted around the room, desperate for answers, until they landed on the glowing screen of his digital assistant. The familiar monotone voice cut through his spiraling thoughts.

"Kaito," it said, calm and clinical as ever. "a limitation has been activated due to the depletion of your energy reserves. Your reproductive organ will only return if you fulfill one of the following conditions: drink the blood of a devil or kill a human and drink their blood. This is a consequence of your True Devil form's contract."

"What the hell are you saying?" Kaito shouted at the screen, his voice cracking. He paced back and forth, his mind spinning with disbelief and anger. "Why was this never explained to me before? Why my... why this?!"

The digital assistant responded without emotion. "You were warned that there would be sacrifices. Your powers are tied to the darkest desires of the soul. To regain what has been taken, you must replenish your energy in the manner dictated by your cursed nature."

Kaito clenched his fists, his nails digging into his palms. He felt a surge of fury rise within him, but it was mingled with helplessness and dread. Killing someone-taking a life-was a line he wasn't sure he could cross, even with the monstrous path he was already walking.

But the alternative? Living without his penis, stripped of one of the most fundamental aspects of his identity? It was unthinkable.

His eyes darkened as the realization set in. He had no choice. Somewhere deep within him, a quiet voice whispered. This is who you are now. Embrace it.

Kaito took a deep breath, his resolve hardening. "Fine," he muttered, his voice low and venomous. "If this is what I have to do to survive... to be whole... then so be it."

Kaito's breathing grew ragged as his frustration reached a boiling point. His body trembled, and his cursed nature surged within him, overtaking his rationality. His form twisted into his True Devil state-horns spiraling upward, claws elongating, and eyes glowing crimson. A guttural roar escaped his throat as his instincts took over.

The woman in the room turned to him, startled, her lips parting to speak, but it was too late. Kaito's claws pierced through her chest with a sickening crunch. Her scream was cut short as he sank his fangs into her neck, blood flowing into his mouth in a torrent of warmth and vitality.

As her lifeless body collapsed to the floor, Kaito stood over her, wiping the crimson streaks from his mouth. He felt the rush of power briefly flare within him, but his relief was short-lived. He glanced down, his expression darkening in horror and disbelief.

"No... no, no, no!" he snarled, slamming his fist into the wall. "Why hasn't it come back?! I did what you told me to do!"

The digital assistant's screen flickered to life, its voice cold and detached. "The woman you killed was a manifestation-an illusion born from your thoughts. Her blood lacks the essence required to replenish your cursed powers."

Kaito stared at the screen, his mind reeling. "An illusion?!" he growled, his voice shaking. "So I killed her for nothing?"

The assistant continued, unaffected by his rage. "To restore your body and regain your form, you must drink the blood of a living devil or a human with a soul. Conjured beings hold no value for your energy replenishment."

Kaito clenched his fists, his claws digging into his palms as he processed the grim truth. His entire body trembled with rage and helplessness. "So now what?" he spat, glaring at the screen. "What do I have to do now?"

The assistant's screen shifted, displaying a map of a desolate, decaying town. "A new mission has been assigned. A horde of zombie devils has been detected in the outskirts of this region. Eliminate them, and drink their blood. Only then will you restore your physical form and regain your full strength."

Kaito stared at the screen, his glowing red eyes narrowing. "Zombie devils, huh?" he muttered, his voice low and venomous. "Fine. If that's what it takes, I'll kill them all."

He glanced back at the lifeless body of the woman in the room, a fleeting pang of regret flickering in his chest. But it was gone as quickly as it came. He turned away, his mind set on his mission.

As he left the room, his monstrous form radiated dark energy, and his steps were heavy with determination. The cursed path ahead promised more bloodshed, but Kaito no longer cared. All that mattered was regaining what was his at any cost.

(Kaito's monstrous form trembled as dark energy waned, his body screaming in pain from the prolonged transformation. Each second in his True Devil form drained his remaining strength, forcing him to his knees. Realizing he couldn't maintain it any longer, he let out a growl of frustration as his cursed form melted away, returning him to his human state. Exhausted but determined, Kaito steadied himself, wiped the sweat from his brow, and donned a worn cloak. With his goal clear, he began his journey toward the distant, decaying town ahead.)
