Chapter 192 - Chapter 192: The Transformation Plan

Dragon Skeleton Tower – Study Room

Su Nan perused the report in his hand, his eyes narrowing with intrigue.

The document detailed that Xieman had encountered a formidable half-human, half-spider creature, potentially at the level of a Four-Ring Legendary being—or perhaps even stronger.

"A half-human, half-spider monster?" Su Nan murmured, his gaze sharp.

Such creatures were not uncommon in the underground world, where mutated spider species thrived. However, none were known to reach the Four-Ring Legendary tier.

Coupled with its humanoid upper body resembling a dark elf, a specific idea immediately surfaced in his mind.

"Could it be a Spiderling?"

Su Nan's expression turned grim.

Across the multiverse, countless gods existed—too many for any one person to remember them all. Su Nan only retained knowledge of the most powerful or distinctive among them.

One such entity was the Spider Queen, a malevolent deity of assassination, darkness, and spiders.

Cruel and capricious, the Spider Queen delighted in watching her followers engage in bloody power struggles, using death, destruction, and torment to please her.

Though far from the strongest of the gods, barely scraping into the mid-tier at best, the Spider Queen's twisted methods made her infamous.

Su Nan recalled that Spiderlings were among her favored creations.

The process of creating a Spiderling involved a dark and gruesome ritual. A mass of spiders would be forced to cannibalize each other, with the losers' flesh and souls consumed by the victor. This final survivor would then be merged with the blood and soul of multiple dark elves, resulting in a horrific, monstrous being—a Spiderling.

Such creatures possessed power surpassing Four-Ring Legendary levels. While not at the level of a formal wizard, four or five Spiderlings working together could pose a significant threat, especially given the current weakened magical environment of the Starlight Continent.

"But why would Spiderlings appear in the Spider City?" Su Nan frowned in contemplation.

Spiderlings were divine creations, brought into existence only by the Spider Queen herself. While the ritual could prepare the vessel, only the goddess's divine power could breathe life into the creature.

"Could it be that the Spider Queen has already infiltrated the Starlight Continent?"

Su Nan's thoughts turned to a distant memory. He vaguely recalled that around Starlight Year 1300, the Spider City had unified the southeastern underground region.

When Xieman and his team had first encountered dark elves, Su Nan had found their sudden unity and outward expansion unusual.

If the Spider Queen was behind this, however, it all made sense.

Only a divine edict could suppress the dark elves' inherent selfishness, forcing them to abandon infighting and band together.

Moreover, only divine support could grant the relatively weak Spider City the power to dominate the southeastern underground.

"What I can't figure out," Su Nan mused, "is how the Spider Queen managed to extend her influence into the Starlight Continent."

The continent had long been sealed off by the wizards. Breaking through that barrier should have been impossible for a mid-tier god without paying a steep price.

After ruminating fruitlessly, Su Nan shook his head, deciding not to dwell on the matter further.

The Starlight Continent was now his domain. Whatever the Spider Queen's intentions, he would not tolerate her interference.

"So long as she doesn't descend in person, she poses no threat," Su Nan muttered. "If she dares to reach in, I'll cut off her hand."

Resolving himself, Su Nan summoned Carolina.

"Deploy the puppets to Firehammer City," he instructed. "Their mission is to neutralize the Spiderlings. If any are slain, have their remains delivered to me immediately."

As divine creations, Spiderlings contained divine energy—a resource too valuable to waste.

An idea was beginning to form in Su Nan's mind. If everything went as planned, this could open up a new avenue for harvesting divine energy.

Carolina swiftly departed to carry out his orders, leaving Su Nan to turn his attention to another report—this one from Starlight Academy.

Academy Report

The latest batch of students had settled in without issue, and the institution now boasted over 800 students.

At the current rate of growth, Su Nan estimated the academy's population would surpass a thousand within seven to eight years. By then, the number of Second-Ring Wizard Apprentices should also reach triple digits.

"Unfortunately, the number of Third-Ring Wizard Apprentices is still too low," Su Nan thought with a sigh.

Both teaching staff and advanced resource refinement required a significant number of Third-Ring Apprentices.

However, he understood that this was not something that could be rushed. Even with abundant resources, it would take another twenty to thirty years for students like Xieman to reach the Third Ring.

"Not everyone has access to a fusion cube like I do," Su Nan mused with a wry smile.

Placing the academy report aside, Su Nan picked up another document titled:

"Dragon Forest Sector 2 Renovation and Wyvern Bloodline Enhancement Plan."

The Dragon Forest had stabilized, with energy surplus cycles now consistently available. Su Nan decided to put this unused energy to work.

Rather than attempting to raise true dragons—a task far beyond current capabilities—he planned to relocate all wyverns with bloodline purity above 70% to Sector 2, transforming it into a breeding ground for high-tier wyverns.

By incrementally enhancing their bloodline concentration through successive generations, he aimed to create a new line of true dragons.

"This will be a long-term project," Su Nan admitted. "It could take centuries to see meaningful results."

But with centuries ahead of him, Su Nan had time. The next 700 years were his developmental phase.

Implementation Steps

Su Nan divided the plan into several phases:

1. Blood extraction from wyverns would be delegated to Second-Ring Wizard Apprentices as academy tasks.

2. Bloodline refinement surgeries would be handled by Rosette, Scepter, and Traveler.

Recognizing the scope of the undertaking, Su Nan also amended the plan to include other skilled apprentices with expertise in biological modification.

Satisfied with the updates, Su Nan closed the file and prepared to begin preliminary work the following day.

Finally, he summoned his status panel:

---

Su Nan Yanyeset | Human Male

Gasification Progress: 1.64%

Skills:

Stellar Ring Meditation (Lv19 – MAX)

Potion Making (Lv5 – 35/20000)

Biological Modification (Lv4 – 924/10000)

Puppet Forging (Lv5 – 10356/20000)

Magical Artifact Crafting (Lv4 – 7294/10000)

---

Su Nan shook his head at the slow progress in mental gasification—less than 0.3% over the past year.

"Still too slow," he muttered. "Let's hope the frontlines bring some surprises."

On a brighter note, his Potion Making skill had finally reached Level 5, and both Puppet Forging and Magical Artifact Crafting showed substantial progress.

The only lagging skill was Biological Modification, which saw little use outside refining wyvern bloodlines.

Underground Corridor

In the eerie silence of a shadowy corridor, faint footsteps echoed.

Walking alone, Tajana's poised figure moved with effortless grace. Each step kept her shrouded in darkness, as if she were one with the shadows.

After passing several forks, she suddenly stopped.

From the darkness ahead came a wary voice:

"Who's there?"

"Who goes there?"

"To the Spider Queen, we offer blood, death, and souls. The web of the Abyss shall span the world," Tajana replied with a calm and resolute tone.

Instantly, the faint killing intent directed toward her dissipated.

Footsteps echoed from the darkness ahead as Vinia emerged, flanked by two male dark elves.

Unlike Tajana and Vinia, who both wore finely crafted chainmail, cloaks, and dual curved blades of exquisite craftsmanship, the two male dark elves were clad only in leather armor. They lacked additional protection, and their weapons were limited to single, modestly made curved blades.

They trailed several paces behind Vinia, their gazes lowered, careful not to look directly at her.

In the Spider City, female dark elf warriors held absolute authority to punish lower-ranked males for perceived disrespect.

The reasons for such punishments were many—staring at a female dark elf for too long being among the most common.

In truth, female dark elves could find an excuse whenever they were displeased, regardless of circumstance.

"How is the situation?" Vinia asked impatiently.

Tajana shook her head before responding. "Tarren City has fallen to the Star Alliance. I saw their constructs standing atop the walls."

"Damn it!" Vinia swore under her breath. "How are they moving so fast? We've been marching through the night!"

Tajana pressed her lips together, choosing not to respond.

The main forces of the Star Alliance comprised tireless golems. Competing with their marching speed was an impossible task.

Not to mention, the morale-drained slave units in their ranks only served to slow them further.

"What's the plan now?" Tajana asked.

Vinia pondered briefly before replying, "We need to report this to the Matron. Tarren City is a crucial chokepoint through this region. The Matron will definitely order us to retake it!"

Tajana hesitated but said nothing.

Noticing her reluctance, Vinia frowned and gestured for the two male dark elves to move farther away. Once they were out of earshot, she approached Tajana and lowered her voice.

"Are you still hung up on what we discussed earlier?"

Tajana sighed. "I just feel that going to war with the Star Alliance is too risky. They're a massive force that's conquered most of the southeastern region. On top of that, they have wizards. I can't see us winning this war."

Vinia scoffed. "You're overthinking it. Don't forget, we have the Spider Queen's blessing—the Spiderlings!"

At the mention of the Spiderlings, Vinia's expression lit up with excitement.

"You saw how they performed in battle. Our enemies didn't stand a chance! The Spiderlings tore through them with ease, and the Star Alliance will be no different!"

"Wizards might be powerful, but can they really be stronger than Spiderlings?"

Tajana's lips moved as though she wanted to argue but ultimately chose to remain silent.

Unlike her zealous kin, Tajana harbored a lingering unease about their so-called Spider Queen.

Vinia gave her a pointed look and warned, "It's fine to express doubts with me, but don't let anyone else hear you. If the Matron or the Weapons Mistress finds out, you'll be in serious trouble!"

Tajana's expression turned grim as she nodded firmly. "I understand."

The dark elves were infamous throughout the underground world for their torturous punishments. These were inflicted not only upon enemies but also on their own kind for the

slightest infractions. They took a twisted pride in this cruelty.

Tajana had no intention of experiencing it firsthand.

With the conversation at an end, the two women turned and made their way back to camp.
