Chapter 3 - Getting used to it

Azraels POV:

Almost 7 months have passed and I already adjusted from this new language, I still don't know where on another world I am right now but i'm sure this is not earth anymore....

My new parents are taking of me well

--i'm just hoping my old parents are okay---

As I was sitting at the table, waiting for the food that my new parents prepared.

Father finally arrived putting food on my table that he cooked himself "Here you go son, eat up... That's your father's delicious cooking, hehe," my new dad said with a smile.

"Hmph—my cooking is way better than his, you know," my new mom teased.

"HAHAHAHA, your cooking is good, but not as good as mine," he joked back at her.

"Oh really now? Baby, isn't Mama's cooking better than Papa's?" She asked me, looking for an ally.

"Ah, looking for someone to take your side, huh?" Papa laughed, and I smiled at Mama because I couldn't help but remember my parents from my past life—they were happy too and always playfully teasing each other.

"HA! Baby smiled at me! That means my cooking is better, HAHAHAHA," Mama boasted proudly.

"Hey, just because he smiled doesn't mean he agrees with you! Right, son? The one who inherited his dad's good looks knows my cooking is better," Papa said, and I smiled at him too.

"HAHAHAHA! See, he smiled at me too, so that means he takes after me and knows my cooking is better, WAHAHAHA!" Papa said proudly, feeding me a bite of his dish.

Suddenly, my eyes lit up in surprise—Papa's cooking was REALLY delicious! I quickly swallowed the food in my mouth and eagerly asked for more.

"Wow, you're eating fast, hehe. See, I really am the better cook," he teased Mama again.

"Okay, fine, you've won our son's heart this time, but next time, you won't be smiling like that," Mama replied, her smile hinting at a playful, competitive spirit.

We continued eating together, and I was soon completely full.

"Honey, the baby's almost 8 months old, and you still haven't decided on a name for him. You know that in three weeks, it will be the country's yearly blessing for all the next generations, so have you thought of any names yet?" Mama asked Papa.

"Don't worry, I already have a name for him. I'm going to name him Azrael," Papa replied.

"Azrael? Where did you come up with that name?" Mama asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I've been thinking about it for a while now. It's unique and unlike any other name," Papa answered, lifting me up and saying, "My handsome son, Azrael D. Valen, you'll be my everything and my pride. I hope you grow up strong." He said this as Mama hugged us both.

"In the blessing of his name, under the month of Fortunaelis, our son will make us proud" Mama added.

Night fell, and Azrael was in his crib in his room.

He couldn't sleep because he still couldn't process everything that had happened over the past seven months since arriving in this world.

(So… I died in my past life because of that scoundrel thief!)

("Hehe", the thief laughing)

(Argh! The hatred I feel for that darn thief is immeasurable!)

(But now, I've woken up in this new world, a place I know nothing about…)

(I need to learn its history and gather information about this new world I'm living in to be prepared.)

Without realizing it, Azrael began to feel sleepy and drifted off…

3rd Person POV:

Azrael woke up to the warmth of sunlight streaming in. The breeze felt wonderful,

(but wait—why do I smell so bad?)

(Oh no, I pooped in my pants.)

(Well, I'm still a baby in this life, so I guess this can happen.)

Azrael tried to crawl, but turns out that he still couldn't do it yet. So, hr just sat there, feeling uncomfortable.

(This is the worst...) Azrael sighed heavily.

Suddenly, the door to Azrael's room opened, and his mother walked in.

"Oh, my baby Azrael is finally awake!" she said, picking me up from the crib.

"Looks like you've pooped in your pants, hehe; let's get you cleaned up and change your clothes."

After his bath, Azrael's in the living room sitting on the floor, still trying to practice crawling, but it was too difficult.

The front door opened, and Azrael's mother greeted his husband, who had three men with him.

"Alice, these are the priests who will assess Azrael," Azrael's father said.

Azrael's mother then bowed to the priests and says, "Thank you for coming."

The priests looking to Azrael's mother bowing with a little smile replied with a "Thank you as well for hosting us in your home. Now, where is baby Azrael?" one of the priests asked.

"Here he is, Father," Azrael's mother pointed to Azrael as he was sat there confused.

"What a handsome boy he is! Very well, I'll now begin to examine and bless baby Azrael." The priest said as he approached Azrael slowly with a walk... Then his hand shone brightly as if light was coming out of his hand.

(What's going on?) Azrael thought as he felt being lifted by an unknown force without even being touched by any object or human.

Azrael slowly ascends till he finly realized,

(Wait... IS THIS MAGIC?!)

(Oh my gosh, I am in a fantasy world?!)

The light then took the shape of a table holding Azrael up.

The foreheads of the two companions of the priest lit up as well. They spoke together as if they're speaking a gibberish language...

"pquotry haq6dh9>/ hsgabOP(]]a Azrael!"

(What's that language?) Azrael thought confused of the words they're saying, but then after that, Azrael felt something, it's like there's this feeling that's being pulled from inside of hin—something he couldn't quite explain. Then everything around him lit up, bursting like a supernova but in color white light,

_____________

SWOOOSH

"""""""""""

Azrael shocked, to find himself in a dark place.

It was like a dimension—pitch black.

Suddenly, a screen appeared in front of hin, like one from a video games.

Thee screen interface looked colored brown.

It's displaying something...
