Necromancy—I've always loved the necromancer class. In every game I play, I always choose to be a necromancer. Even if the game doesn't offer that specific class, I seek out a character who can summon minions. Why? Because it feels like I'm a boss commanding my minions to fight for me. I've always relished the thrill of summoning troops to charge into battle; it feels like I'm never alone when facing an enemy.
I enjoy commanding my army while playing games on my phone. "Skeletal mages should be positioned at the back of my lineup, with tankletons at the front to shield them. The skeleton warriors will take the second row. Now, let's launch the attack!"
BWAHAHAHA! My enemies are overwhelmed by my summons. They don't even know who to target first! Yes, we're almost there!
Suddenly….
SNATCH***
"Wait—HEY, MY PHONE! YOU THIEF! Give it back!, you bastard!" I shouted as I chased the thief down the side of the road. "Kuya, block that guy for me!" I yelled ahead at a bystander.
But it turns out he had an accomplice! The thief quickly passed my phone to his partner. I sped up, crossing the street.. I didn't chase the first thief because my focus was on the accomplice who had my phone.
"HEY!!!" I shouted as I was running across the middle of the street when, suddenly...
HOOOOOOONNNNNNNK! (Truck honking)
Crash***
"Ugh..." That was the only sound that escaped my mouth as I was thrown by the impact of the truck.
I flew almost ten meters because of the force of the collision. I'm going to die… It's so unfair—why am I so unlucky?
I couldn't move my hands, or any parts of my body. I couldn't even blink. I just stared blankly as my vision spun and blurred. I admit that at that moment, I was terrified because I knew I was going to die.
I didn't know what was happening anymore. I could hear people around me, but I couldn't understand what they were saying.
A woman came to me. As she was aiding me, trying to save me—even though my body was shattered from the impact—she was determined to help.
Tears started falling from my eyes as I whispered a prayer in my mind.
"I wished that if there's another life after this, I could be happy in it. I had so many regrets weighing on my mind. I just wanted my next life to be better… please."
Until finally, everything just went black.

~~~~~~~~~----------------------------------------
"HAAAAAAAAP!" A sharp gasp for air. Am I alive?
Wait, why do I feel so small?
"Aww, our baby is finally awake! You slept for so long! You must've had a nice dream, huh?" A woman suddenly approached me, peering in as I realized I was inside a crib.
Who's this person? Am I reincarnated? Is this my parents in this life?
but why do I feel like crying?
Is it because I'm alive and was given another chance?
Suddenly, I started crying loudly.
My mom was startled and quickly picked me up.
"Aww, why is my baby crying? Did you have a bad dream instead? Mama's here, don't cry," she tried to soothe me as I continued wailing.
Wailing in the background...
A man arrived, gesturing with open arms, wanting to take me. My mom then handed me to him.
"HAHAHA, my son, why are you crying? There, there, Papa and Mama are here," he said, also trying to calm me down.
...
After a while, I stopped crying. I was sitting at the table, waiting for the food that my parents prepared. It suddenly crossed my mind, the parents I had from my past life. I hoped they were okay with my death—I hoped they were strong and doing well. Just thinking about it made me want to cry again.
"Here you go, son, eat up... That's your father's delicious cooking, hehe," my new dad said with a smile.
"Hmph—my cooking is way better than his, you know," my new mom teased.
"HAHAHAHA, your cooking is good, but not as good as mine," he joked back at her.
"Oh really now? Baby, isn't Mama's cooking better than Papa's?" She asked me, looking for an ally.
"Ah, looking for someone to take your side, huh?" Papa laughed, and I smiled at Mama because I couldn't help but remember my parents from my past life—they were happy too and always playfully teasing each other.
"HA! Baby smiled at me! That means my cooking is better, HAHAHAHA," Mama boasted proudly.
"Hey, just because he smiled doesn't mean he agrees with you! Right, son? The one who inherited his dad's good looks knows my cooking is better," Papa said, and I smiled at him too.
"HAHAHAHA! See, he smiled at me too, so that means he takes after me and knows my cooking is better, WAHAHAHA!" Papa said proudly, feeding me a bite of his dish.
Suddenly, my eyes lit up in surprise—Papa's cooking was REALLY delicious! I quickly swallowed the food in my mouth and eagerly asked for more.
"Wow, you're eating fast, hehe. See, I really am the better cook," he teased Mama again.
"Okay, fine, you've won our son's heart this time, but next time, you won't be smiling like that," Mama replied, her smile hinting at a playful, competitive spirit.
We continued eating together, and I was soon completely full.
"Honey, the baby's almost 6 months old, and you still haven't decided on a name for him. You know that in three weeks, it will be the country's yearly blessing for all the next generations, so have you thought of any names yet?" Mama asked Papa.
"Don't worry, I already have a name for him. I'm going to name him Azrael," Papa replied.
"Azrael? Where did you come up with that name?" Mama asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I've been thinking about it for a while now. It's unique and unlike any other name," Papa answered, lifting me up and saying, "My handsome son, Azrael D. Valen, you'll be my everything and my pride. I hope you grow up strong." He said this as Mama hugged us both.
"In the blessing of his name, under the month of Fortunaelis, our son will make us proud" Mama added.
Night fell, and I was in my room. I couldn't sleep because I still can't process everything that had happened. So..I died in my past life because of that SCOUNDREL THIEF!,(hehe the thief laughing) and suddenly woke up as if nothing happened?!
My conclusion now is that I am now in another world... So I need to learn the history and gather information about this new world i'm living to be prepared.
Without realizing it, I started to feel sleepy and drifted off...
<<<
I woke up to the warmth of sunlight streaming in. The breeze felt wonderful, but wait—why do I smell so bad?
Oh no, I pooped in my pants. Well, I'm still a baby in this life, so I guess this can happen.
I tried to crawl, but it turned out I couldn't do it yet. So, I just sat there, feeling uncomfortable. This is the worst... I sighed heavily.
Suddenly, the door to my room opened, and my mother walked in.
"Oh, my baby Azrael is finally awake!" she said, picking me up from the crib. "Looks like you've pooped in your pants, hehe; let's get you cleaned up and change your clothes."
After my bath, I'm in the living room, still trying to practice crawling, but it was too difficult.
The front door opened, and my mother greeted Papa, who had three men with him.
"Alice, these are the priests who will assess Azrael," Papa said.
Mama bowed to the priests and replied, "Thank you for coming."
"Thank you as well for hosting us in your home. Now, where is baby Azrael?" one of the priests asked.
"Here he is, Father," Mama pointed to me as I sat there confused.
"What a handsome boy he is! Very well, I'll now begin to examine and bless baby Azrael." he said as he approached me.
Suddenly, the priest's hand shone brightly as if light was coming out of his hand!, and I felt myself being lifted without being touched. IS THIS MAGIC?! Oh my gosh, I am in a fantasy world!
The light then took the shape of a table holding me up.
The foreheads of the two companions of the priest lit up as well. They spoke together as if they're speaking a gibberish language
"MELI ZARU KANDOR FORTUNAELIS Azrael!"
I suddenly felt something, it's like there's this feeling that's being pulled from inside me—something I couldn't quite explain. Then everything around me lit up, and I was shocked to find myself in a dark place.
It was like a dimension—pitch black.
Suddenly, a screen appeared in front of me, like one from a video game, but the screen interface looked colored brown.
//===
"Welcome, Azrael.
You may now choose your class:
Option 1: Shadow Reaper
Option 2: Dark Assassin
Option 3: Boundless Necromancer."
===\
I still don't understand what was happening, but my gamer instincts is kicking in, and you don't even have to ask me twice. Of course i'll be choosing the Necromancer!
I quickly pressed option 3.
The screen changed and said,
//===
"You have chosen the Boundless Necromancer class.
Rarity: Unknown
Specialty: (due to low-level experience, there's no description yet)
Age: 6 months (Boundless Necromancer type)."
===\
The screen changed again.
//===
"You will now be returning back."
===\\
And just like that, I was back to reality
But it's quiet... The priest hasn't spoken anything. Turns out that the blessing ritual was over.The table that was made from light that i was on started to slowly fade while I descend very slowly from mid air till I touched the floor..
"As expected of commoners, I can't sense any magic in him" the priest said, looking disappointed.
What's with the sudden change in courtesy?
"As long as he's baptized, i'm okay with the results." my father said. I don't know why, but I felt no disappointment in his words.
"Thank you for your time priest" my mother said while bowing to the priest alongside my father.
The priest didn't even bother to say goodbye, but we heard him say, "sigh, what a waste of time," as he walked away with his two companions.
"HAHAHA! My baby is finally baptized! My son Azrael, even without having any magic, you'll still be my pride and everything, no matter what," my father said as he lifted me up with joy.
"My baby Azrael, I won't lie to you, but I am disappointed right now," my mother said as for my father to be startled and quickly responded, "Honey–what do you mean?!"
"No, I'm disappointed because of us, because we are commoners who don't have any magic too. That's why we can't give you a good life. I'm sorry, Azrael," my mother wept as she tried to wipe her tears.
My father then hugged her while I reached out to her, unknowingly speaking my first word: "Mama."
They were shocked.
"My baby's first word!" my mother exclaimed with joy. "Oh my, oh my, my baby spoke his first word! HAHA!" My father was overjoyed at what had happened.
"I love you, my baby Azrael. I promise to be the best mother for you" she said as she hugged me tightly in her arms.
<<<6 years later>>>
I am now fully aware of this new world and have been reading countless histories of it. Unlike Earth, this world is named Avidya Rahendor. It has two main magical factions: the Warrior Mages and the Battle Mages. There are also different races here in Avidya: Humans, Orcs, Elves, and Vampires. However, their differing interests have caused conflicts among them, leading to constant war in the past. Humans were considered the weakest race back then, which is why they were targeted by most other races.
But everything changed when a human 9-star mage named Fortunaelis appeared five centuries ago and resolved the ongoing conflicts between humans and other races. With the emergence of the 9-star mage, the perception of humans as the "weakest race" shifted, leading to more equal treatment among the races. The Elves declared a peace treaty with the Humans, allowing them to coexist peacefully. The Orcs, on the other hand, remained indifferent and silent, still looking down on Humans and treating them as weak beings. The Vampires do not have their own kingdoms, but some coexist with humans, feeding on animals or other creatures instead of humans. However, there are still Vampires who refuse to mingle with humans and continue to kill.
I also learned some magic words during my research, but as expected, I can't use any magic, just like the priest said six years ago. There are thirteen months in this world, each named different than the ones we have on Earth, and every last month of the year, is called Fortunaelis(named after to honor the 9 star mage), and during that month will concur the yearly assessment for the newborns in this world, from commoners to nobles they will be assessed to determine their rank and what type of magic they possess.
Most of the nobles possess far greater magical knowledge and power unlikely to the Commoners.
So most of the time commoners are deemed to have low magic skills that's why commoners will stay as commoners and nobles will still remain a nobility.
But there was one thing I couldn't find throughout my research, it was anything related to Necromancy. Every book I searched in the library didn't contain any information related to necromancy ability. And the screen I saw six years ago during my baptism hasn't reappeared ever since.
As I was on my way home, I spotted my mom surrounded by neighboring villagers. She looked distraught, on the verge of tears.
I hurried over and asked, "Mom, what happened?"
"Azrael, my son, huhu, your father has gone missing while hunting," my mother sobbed.
"What?! Is anyone looking for him? What happened?" I asked, my heart begans to race.
"They said they're looking for him, but there's still no news. I've been waiting for almost five hours now. The rescuers came back, but they couldn't find your father, huhu," she replied,as she cries. I don't know what to do, everything started to spin, and my heart raced even faster.
A man approached us and said, "Hello, I'm one of the rescuers looking for your husband. We've tried everything to find him, but as it's almost dark, we'll have to consider him dead and untraceable. He's most likely been eaten by monsters in the forest. I'm sorry for your loss."
I got angry at what he said and shouted, "Bullshit! My father isn't dead! Please keep searching for him!" I pleaded with them.
"Hey kid, we can't risk continuing the search for your father. It's getting dark, and the monsters become more active at night. There's nothing more we can do," the rescuer replied, his voice firm.
"No! I can't accept that!" I screamed and ran as fast as I could.
"Hey kid!" the rescuer shouted, but I was already sprinting into the forest.
"Stop him! Azrael, come back here!" my mother shouted as she chased after me.
They tried to catch me, but I was faster, losing myself in the woods.
Nightfall was approaching, and the surroundings were growing darker. I began to feel fear as I walked through the woods. I don't know how far I've gone, all I can see is trees. Then after a while I saw blood on a rock—it looked fresh, and I strongly suspected it was my father's. I quickly scanned the area, searching for more signs to lead me to him.
"Father?" I called softly as I searched. I didn't want to raise my voice too much, fearing I might attract monsters.
As I walked, I heard voices—goblin voices. Peering through the thick foliage, I spotted a goblin village. Despite their intelligence, goblins were still considered monsters.
"KAKA muYA gar!" one of them shouted.
From behind a large rock, I counted three goblins in the village. Goblins typically populated around 20-100 in a village, and they were notoriously aggressive toward humans.
"DEki LOPA ba!" another goblin replied, their eyes darting around.looks like they're in a soft of argument
Then, I heard a groan, a human voice, muffled and in pain.
I squinted and saw a cage next to a makeshift hut. Inside was my father—motionless—along with another man and a girl about my age.
A goblin approached the cage, grinning maliciously, saying, "HARA HARA ge SA!"
As i noticed that only three goblins were around the village, others were probably out hunting, so this was a good chance to strike.With determination, I grabbed a bamboo forged into a spear, preparing to fight.
While the two goblins were distracted, I rushed at the one facing the cage. It reacted quickly, dodging my strike, but I managed to graze it, drawing blood.
I didn't know much about weapons, but my father had taught me how to use a sword while growing up. A spear would do—I had to make it count.
Before the goblin could call for help, I lunged again. My spear struck its neck, but the wound was shallow.
Taken aback the goblin clutched its neck as blood spilled over,In its anger, it let out a scream, alerting the other two goblins in the village.
"GWAAAAAAAA!"
The little girl in the cage called out to me, urging me to open it. It was only secured with a knotted rope. The older man, around my father's age, shouted at me to hurry and cut the knot.
I rushed over and used my spear to slice through the rope.
"Sir, please wake up!" the girl pleaded as she shook my father.
Finally, I cut the knot, and the cage door swung open.
The two goblins who came for rescue charged at me unnoticed, their spears aimed. I ducked and dodged, narrowly avoiding their strikes.
The man who had been imprisoned with my father quickly grabbed a weapon, drawing the attention of the two goblin. Fully ignoring me…
But the wounded goblin on the other hand lunged at me recklessly.
It tried to claw me with its sharp nails, but I was quick, then it charged again recklessly. Then I spotted an opening—without hesitation, I stabbed the goblin in the stomach piercing trough it's back. The goblin grunted in pain before collapsing, then died.
Meanwhile, the man managed to take down the other two goblins—one decapitated, the other stabbed through the chest.
I quickly ran to my father, who was now awake, thanks to the little girl who's trying to wake him. My father was clutching his stomach, and I saw a large wound, most likely caused by a spear.
"Azrael, why are you here? It's too dangerous," my father said, his voice strained but filled with concern for me.
"Father, we're getting out of here. We're going home to Mother," I said, hugging him tightly, relief flooding through me that he was alive, despite his injuries.
He winced slightly, and I pulled back to look at him, my heart racing. "You're hurt. We need to stop the bleeding."
"I'll be fine. We need to focus on getting out of this place first," he insisted, his eyes scanning our surroundings for any sign of danger.
I nodded, knowing that the urgency of our situation outweighed the pain he was in. "We need to hurry before more goblins come back."
While my father struggled to stand as I help him to get out of the cage. The man who had been with us hurried over, with a sense of urgency written all over his face. "The other goblins are coming back! We need to move quickly—let's escape through the back of the village! We can't fight them head-on; they have a chief who ambushed us earlier!"
"Wait, grab me a weapon! I can still fight!" my father insisted.
The man quickly handed him a spear, and we took off running, adrenaline fueling our escape.
And we had just gotten some distance from the village when a loud, deep scream echoed from the goblin village, sending chills down my spine.
"That's the Goblin Chief! Hurry before they find us! The Goblin Chief is too strong for us to fight!" the man urged, leading the way. "This place seems familiar; there's a watchtower this way, but it's a little far. "Hurry up and follow me!"
Pant**
Pant**
Running***
As we run, I heard a loud thud behind us—something massive was charging straight at us.
"Dodge!" the man shouted.
We scattered in panic. My father and I hit the ground hard as we rolled out of the way.
"It's the Goblin Chief! Hurry and leave, just go straight ahead and you'll reach the watchtower you can call for help there—I'll try to hold him off!" the man said.
The Goblin Chief roared, its guttural cry shaking the air. "GWAAAAH!" It's massive thrice the size of a fully adult male human, with bulging muscles rippling under its rough, green skin. In one motion, it grabbed a massive rock and hurled it at the man.
He barely dodged, rolling out of the way just in time. Then he charged at the Chief, aiming his spear at its stomach. But despite its size, the Chief was surprisingly quick, dodging the strike with ease.
In a blink, the Goblin Chief countered with a punch, sending the man flying into a tree.
"Ughhh..." the man groaned, clearly hurt.
I glanced at my dad—he couldn't stand. Before I knew it, three goblins were coming right for me.
I grabbed my spear, ready to fight.
One goblin rushed at me, swinging its claws. I dodged and saw an opening, but just as I went for a stab, my gut told me something was off. I quickly ducked, barely avoiding another goblin jumping at me from behind.
Crap, they're coming at me together!
One goblin charged again. I used my spear to keep it at bay, stabbing it in the arm. "WAAAAAAH!" I yelled as I dragged the goblin, slamming it against a tree. While it struggled, I kicked it in the stomach and pulled my spear back.
Before I could catch my breath, another goblin pounced on me from behind, and a sharp pain tore through my back. I reacted by kicking it in the face, causing it to stumble back. The goblin had clawed me, and it stung like hell, as if knives had dug through my skin. Blood flowed as I clutched my back in pain. I turned around just in time to saw the one I slammed on the tree recklessly charging at me, screaming, "Kyeeek!"
Raging in pain, I shouted, "Blunder, you fucker!" and speared it straight through the chest. The goblin screamed in agony "KYAAAAK EEEK", swaying its arms and feet, struggling against my spear as its strength faded. Slowly, it lost consciousness and died.
One down, two left.
The last two goblins was flustered from what happened, but then they both rushed me from different sides. I couldn't dodge the both of them...
"WAAAAH!" My dad let out a war cry as he suddenly appeared, slashing one of the goblins on my left side, cutting its body in half and killing it instantly. But he fell to his knees right after, groaning in pain.
The last goblin kept charging. I barely dodged it, and as soon as it hit the ground, I quickly stabbed it from behind. It screamed in pain "KYEEEEK!", struggling to break free, but slowly lost consciousness and died.
I stood there, gasping for breath. Blood ran down my back, but then, out of nowhere, a strange, dizzy feeling hit me, like something was sucking the life out of me.
It was the same feeling back the…
Then… A screen pop right in front of me….
it was the screen that appeared six years ago!
"Father, are you alright?" I asked, worry evident in my voice.
"Yes, son. Thank you," he replied as I helped him to his feet. "Where's the little girl?" he asked
"I'm not sure. She must have fled when the Goblin Chief charged at us," I said.
Suddenly, the Goblin Chief let out a terrifying roar as it fought the injured man.
"Let's go, Azrael! We need to leave, now!" my father urged.
"But Dad, that man is sacrificing himself for us! We can't just leave him!" I protested.
"No, we should—" He stopped mid-sentence, raising his spear. "Get behind me, Azrael!" he shouted, startled by the presence of my skeletons warriors.
"No, Dad! They're allies!" I exclaimed.
"What? What do you mean by that?" His confusion was clear.
"I summoned them! I have magic now!" I said with a proud smile.
"Summoned? What?! I never heard anything about that?! Since when?" he asked in disbelief.
"Just a while ago, while fighting those goblins" I explained.As then I pointed to one of my skeleton. "You—take my dad to safety!"
"Wait, no, don't!" my father protested, but it was too late. The skeleton grabbed him to carry it on it's back my dad struggled "AZRAEL, PUT ME DOWN!"as he yell.
The fight continued fiercely as the Goblin Chief delivered a powerful punch to the man, sending him flying until he crashed into a tree, blood spurting from his mouth. The ground shook as the Chief roared in triumph. The man lay still, badly wounded.
Just as the Chief moved in for the kill, my skeletons leaped into action, slashing at its back.
"GRAAAH!" The Goblin Chief howled in pain. Another skeleton lunged forward and stabbed the Chief in the chest. In retaliation, the Chief swung a brutal punch sending it fly, but to my surprise the skeleton didn't break.
Then, a notification flashed:
"Whoa, they're immune to physical attacks? That's so overpowered!" I exclaimed. I commanded three of my skeletons to deal with the smaller goblins while the remaining five focused on the Chief. One skeleton assisted the injured man, pulling him out of danger.
The skeleton warriors coordinated their attacks flawlessly. Two slashed at the Goblin Chief's back while the other three engaged from the front. The Goblin Chief groaned in pain and dropped to its knees. One skeleton advanced and, with a swift motion of it's blade beheading the Chief, its head rolling to the ground.
Meanwhile on a nearby watchtower...
The little girl was panting, running as fast as she could, screaming for help.
"Help! Someone, please! There are people being attacked by monsters in the woods!"
A guard approached her. "Little girl, what's wrong?" he asked.
"Sir, please help the people who are still in the forest—they're being attacked by a Goblin Chief," she said, her voice trembling, eyes filled with fear.
"A Goblin Chief?!" The guard's eyes went wide in shock. "I'll alert the others immediately!" he said, quickly sending a message to nearby stations, calling for backup at his position.
As the guard called for backup, he noticed a figure coming from the forest. He squinted to get a better look and gasped in shock. Quickly, he drew his sword and raised it, getting ready for a fight.
"Get behind me! A monster is coming!" he shouted as the figure got clearer.
A-a SKELETON?! he thought, feeling confused when he saw a man being carried on its back.
When the skeleton got closer, the guard hesitated to attack. The skeleton lowered Azrael's father gently, completely ignoring the guard with his sword raised.
The guard stood frozen in place, utterly confused, while the little girl stayed behind him, equally frightened by the strange monster. The skeleton immediately stood up and turned its back, fully ignoring the guard, before running back into the forest.
Right after the skeleton left the little girl ran towards Azrael's father "Sir, sir, are you okay? where are the others?"Little girl asked but got no response "Guard please help this man he's wounded very badly" the little girl pleaded
"Huh? Ah, okay, okay. Let me assist you, sir. You have quite a deep stab wound on your right side," the guard replied, trying to help Azrael's father.
Azrael's father grabbed the guard's hand, desperation filling his eyes. "Sir, my son is still in the forest. Please help him!" he urged, choking back tears.
Just then, other guards who was called for backup, arrived.
"What's happening?" asked one of the newly arrived guards.
"We need to rescue someone in the forest who's being attacked by a goblin chief," the guard explained.
"What?! B-but sir, a goblin chief is too dangerous for us! We can't risk our lives for that, and it's already nighttime. We don't know what other monsters might be lurking out there or we might encounter" protested another guard.
The little girl, with an intense look of desperation, interrupted. "Please, you don't understand! He saved me from the goblins! We have to help him!" she pleaded, tugging at the guard's sleeve with trembling hands.
The guard who had assisted Azrael's father looked conflicted. "I'm sorry, little girl, but we can't take that risk. My troops are rejecting your request."
In a final effort to gain their support, the little girl stood tall and pulled an insignia from her pocket. "I, Elise D. Marquiz, 1st Princess of the Marquiz clan, command you to search for the two remaining people who were with me in the forest."
The guards gasped at the sight of the insignia. "The 1st Princess of the Marquiz clan?—but what are you doing here?" one guard exclaimed, shock evident in his voice.
"That is not what's important right now! You need to hurry into the forest and rescue them!" the little girl who's the self-proclaimed 1st princess of a noble family said.
"Right. We are sorry for our incompetence, Your Grace," he said, kneeling in apology. "We will do our best to rescue the two people trapped in the forest."
He stood up and said, "Let's go," to his companions. Then they hurried into the forest.
Going back to Azrael…
"Let's see… summoning the goblin chief will cost five slots for my summons," Azrael said.
"Stand up," Azrael commanded, and his followers complied.
Azrael didn't know what to do with them; there were too many. What if the villagers saw them? They would be terrified, and it could bring harm to Azrael's family.
Azrael opened the system again and searched something, and found…
"Oh, I guess I can summon them again with no cooldowns," Azrael said as he explored the system window.
He suddenly felt that something was approaching, which made him alert.
"Hello, anyone there?" a human voice called out.
Azrael quickly went to investigate and soon saw the guards searching for him.
"Hello, sir, it's me," Azrael said, approaching the guards.
The guard who spoke paused.
"A young boy?" he thought to himself.
"Are you one of the people attacked by the goblins?" the guard asked.
"Yes, I am. How is my father?" Azrael inquired.
But the guard didn't answer that question and added another instead.
"Wasn't there a goblin chief that attacked you? Where is it?" the guard asked.
Unable to think of a reason, Azrael lied.
"When it was chasing us, it suddenly stopped, as if it were scared, and retreated with the smaller goblins before leaving," Azrael fabricated.
"What? If that's the case, there might be an even more dangerous monster nearby. But weren't there two of you? Where is the other one?" the guard questioned.
"He left already, and I'm sure he's safe from danger," Azrael said.
"Let's go. We might be caught by a more dangerous monster here," the guard urged.
They left without further suspicion.
Going back to the watchtower—
Azrael's skeleton warrior b vfinally arrived, carrying the injured man on its back.
The little girl, who had been so afraid earlier, showed no signs of fear now, though she still looked confused about what kind of monster this was.
The skeleton laid the injured man on the floor, unconscious, while the little girl called for help.
After a while, Azrael and the guards arrived at the watchtower.
"Sir, please come in; you still have wounds, and you need to be treated," Elise, the little girl, said.
"No, I need to see my son first," Azrael's father insisted.
Elise's eyes lit up as she pointed into the distance. "Sir, your son is here!" she exclaimed.
Azrael's father turned quickly, relief flooding his face. "Azrael?" he called, his voice a bit shaky. Despite his injuries, he pushed himself to stand and hurried toward his son.
When they were finally close, Azrael's father pulled him into a tight hug. "Thanks for saving us back there, my brave son," he said, beaming with pride. He looked at the guards and added, "My son's a real hero!" He hugged Azrael again, holding onto the moment.
The little girl watched this heartfelt scene, not wanting to ruin the moment, and quietly left without saying a word.
After a moment, Azrael turned to his father and asked, "Are you okay now, father?"
"this is nothing Azrael i'm more worried about you" Azraels father replied
"but where are the others? The man earlier and the little girl who's just with us?" Azrael asked
"The man earlier is being treated right now and the little girl…." Azraels father said while looking for the girl then say "she was just here earlier, where did she go?....perhaps she goes inside" Azraels father said
"Father we should go inside now too, for you to be treated that wound" Azrael said
His father agreed and walked inside while Azrael is assisting him to walk
Once his father was being treated, Azrael noticed the little girl was nowhere to be found. He turned to a guard and asked, "Where's the little girl who was rescued from the forest?"
"She left earlier with her carriage," the guard said, his tone calm. "Luckily, she wasn't seriously injured, so she didn't need any medical attention."
Azrael nodded, absorbing the information. "Ah, I see. So she left," he thought, his mind easing a little. It wasn't something that required his attention anymore.
As time passed, the medics finished tending to his father, whose breathing was now deep and steady as he slept. Azrael lingered by his side for a moment, making sure his father was resting comfortably.
Once the medics packed up their things and withdrew, Azrael glanced around the now quiet room. After a long day, it was finally time for them all to rest
