"What's going on here?! Milly, why are you here?" I exclaimed, utterly bewildered by the sight of her standing proudly before me.
She smirked, crossing her arms with a confidence that made me sigh inwardly. "Why? Are you upset that your adorable little sister didn't see you off when you left for the academy? Pfft." She let out a playful laugh.
Without thinking, I reached out and ruffled her hair, watching as her confident smirk twisted into an annoyed pout.
"Hey! Don't treat me like a little kid in front of everyone!" she protested, her cheeks puffing out indignantly.
Milly straightened her posture, brushing off my hand, and continued, "I'll have you know, I'm a first-year student here now! So make sure to take care of me, big brother," she added with a teasing grin, sticking her tongue out in mock defiance.
