A/N: This is the breaking point people! The real story is about to begin.
I will be taking a small break to write the chapters and pile them up so that I can write them properly.
I need to change a lot of stuff that I had written in the original version.
----------------------
-3rd POV-
Mondstadt's people fell into panic as the sky above the city was blocked by raging winds and clouds.
------
[Name: Dvalin
Level: 128(Weakened State)<--???(Original)
------
"Level 128, huh?" Meliodas muttered under his breath as he Inspected the verdant dragon.
One of the surprisingly free and useful skills the system gave him—besides system storage—was the skill [Mind's Eye].
It basically allowed Meliodas to see the information of any of his students so that he could know the progression of their skills and level.
But the detailed version only works on people that are recognized by the system as people whom he is "teaching".
Otherwise, it's just showing some simple information of the target.
But right now, all that mattered to Meliodas was Dvalin's level.
He himself was a wopping level 53.
I know, I know. I bet you're wondering, "shouldn't he be stronger?"
Yes, Meliodas should.
But you'd be surprised how few monsters there were to hunt in Mondstadt—and how little XP they gave. Maybe if he had been dropped off in Sumeru or Natlan, it would have been a different story since stronger and more XP-abundant monsters roamed there.
And the fact that the XP requirements got bigger each time he leveled up didn't help either.
The only times he could even reach close to level 128 is in his full Eikon [Priming] form, in which when in this form, all stats are boosted by 100%. And when in [Semi-Prime], it is a 50% boost.
"Meliodas...I think I'll change the request..." Kaeya suddenly spoke as he looked at Dvalin.
"Want me to fight that thing?" Meliodas asked.
Even if Meliodas planned to fight Dvalin already, Meliodas thought that it was absurd of Kaeya to ask him to fight Dvalin.
"Apologies friend, but I need you to stall him. At least until the knights can round up to fend it off" Kaeya gave Meliodas an apologetic smile. Kaeya knew that Meliodas was strong, but wasn't sure he was "Beat the dragon that's making literal twisters around him by just being pissed" level of strong.
But maybe he was "Last stand off and hold off till reinforcement arrive" strong against the dragon.
"Sigh~ alright. But I'm getting paid extra for the trouble" Meliodas replied.
"Haha of course! The knights always reward good service"
With that, Meliodas began to jump from roof to roof.
-Scene Change-
"Ah! Paimon is going to get blow away!" the floating little fairy shouted as Dvalin's raging winds ravaged sections of Mondstatd.
"Traveler, follow me! I'll take you to a safe place!" Shouted Amber as she took Lumine's hand and began to run. She could feel a vortex of Anemo elemental energy approaching them, meaning that one of Dvalin's little twisters was heading their way.
As they ran, they cut through alleys and streets, hoping to dodge the tornadoes. But it was of no use as the mini tornado caught up to them. They were too fast and too powerful to resist the suction.
Paimon clinged on to Lumine, hoping that as long as she grabbed on to her, she wouldn't be sucked into the raging tornado of wind.
"Ugh, there's no way out!" Amber grumbled under her breath. And they couldn't use their wind gliders as that would just increase the force that they would be sucked at towards the tornado.
*WHOOOSH!!*
Unluckily for Lumine, the suction got to her. Her body was thrown around the wind in a spiral around the spiraling wing till she made it to the eye of the storm and was sent flinging to the sky.
Opposite to her unluck, the Wind Glider gifted to her earlier by Amber saved her from splatting on the ground.
Lumine sighed in relief, her eyes wandering downwards to the city of Mondstadt. But the peace she was in wasn't for long as from the sea of clouds, a massive figure swimmed out of it.
Lumines eyes widened as she quickly dodged to the side with wind, allowing her to avoid being tackled by Dvalin
*WHOOSH*
"Huh? how are you staying afloat like this with just a Wind Glider?" The little white-haired fairy that has been clinging on her like her life depended on spoke.
{I'm preventing your fall with the power of a thousand winds!} A mysterious voice spoke to the both of them from seemingly out of nowhere.
{Now, concentrate. See yourself grasping the wind. Harness its energ-EEK!!! he's coming!} The mysterious being speaking to them explained, not before screaming in fear and cutting her voice from their ears.
Lumine guessed that whoever that was, he was afraid of Dvalin. But Lumine's guess was entirely wrong, it was someone else that struck fear into that mysterious person.
A sudden and empowering surge of Anemo energy welled up within Lumine. It felt as if every single bit of wind around her was withing her control.
Lumine wondered who the mysterious being that had helped her was, but with the dragon right in front of her, she had to prioritize it first.
Without hesitation, she began to fly and tail behind Dvalin. Taking advantage of her sudden power boost, Lumine began to send out small, concentrated blasts of wind towards the soaring dragon like a machine gun.
*RATATATATATAT!!!!*
The mighty dragon wailed in pain as the wind—his own element—betrayed him, leaving marks across the scales on his back.
Sensing that someone was the one controlling wind behind him, it spread its wings.
As its majestic, feathered wings expanded, it allowed itself to be taken back by the wind blowing against it. Before Lumine could react, Dvalin had moved behind her with his expert flying skills.
"AH! it's coming for us!" Paimon shouted in fear as it saw the dragon's jaws opening towards them.
*WHOOOOSH!!!*
But before Dvalin could even get close to taking a bite out if the two, a dark shadow dived down from even higher in the sky.
*BOOOOM!!*
Whatever that thing was, it striked down so hard on top of Dvalin's skull that it sent out a shockwave and took down the dragon with itself to the outskirts of Mondstadt.
"What the-?" Lumine said in shock as she was blown away from the shockwave.
As the dragon gathered its bearings, its shook its head violently until the black clad figure got shaken off and began to fly away, disappearing among the clouds.
As Lumine saw it disappear, she sighed in relief and began to descend slowly to the ground.
"Paimon was so scared!" Paimon said as she snuggled closer to Lumine, never wanting to leave her side.
Lumine smiled gently, caressing the little faeries head.
*CALP*
*CLAP*
*CLAP*
Lumine suddenly heard a slow and dramatic clapping behind her. She was now looking eye to eye, well... eye to eye and a half with a handsome, blue haired, and eye patched man.
"Youve actually got the power to go up against the dragon...are you an ally...or a new storm" he said as it was a matter of a fact dramatically, and a hint of surprise in his voice.
He had been watching the whole thing from the beginning, seeing how she got sucked up by the tornado and then managed to hold herself against Dvalin despite its power.
It was impressive as he knew that only a few people could even begin to put up a fight against it.
'And most of all, he's like Meliodas..." Kaeya thought in his mind. From the vibe to the clothes, to the ability to control powers without the need of a vision; it was all similar to him.
There was also the fact that they were both outlanders.
'Wonder where in the seven nations they keep spawning from' Kaeya though, but he decided to push that thought to the back of his mind as there were more pressing matters that needed attending to right now.
"And you are?" Lumine asked, suspicious of the handsome pirate.
"Ah! apologies..." Kaeya gave a small bow. "I am Kaeya, captain of Mondstadt's Cavalry" He introduced himself.
"Un, I'm Lumine" Lumine also introduced herself.
"Lumine!!!" aloud and familiar voice called her from another direction.
It was Amber, behind her another mysterious silver haired man she had never met before.
"Are you alright? when I saw you get sucked into the tornado, I didn't know what to do..." She said with a bit of sadness. She was an Outrider, how could she NOT be able to help others, even if it meant jumping into a raging tornado.
The man with silver hair sighed. he walked up to Amber and pat her head "Honestly, love. You shouldn't feel guilty for not jumping into that storm" he tried to reassure her, but his words didn't work at all.
Amber felt that it was her duty to Mondstadt and to her position as an outrider
"It's fine Buny, I made sure she was fine" A cold and distorted voice pitched in from off the distance.
The sound of metal clanked as the owner of the voice appeared. Little by little, a man in full dark armor began to walk up the stairs from where they were, in front of Barbato's statue.
"Whoa, who is that?" Paimon asked as she hid behind her companion. Lumine was equally if not more alert than Paimon. She didn't know where this feeling of sudden fear was coming from, but if she had to guess, it probably was the menacing man in full dark armor.
"Mr. Meliodas?" Amber spoke in surprise. She hadn't expected to see him here.
""You know him"" Both Paimon and Lumine asked in even more surprise.
"Mhm, he's my neighbor" Amber revealed.
"...Paimon doesn't think living next to a scary guy like him is normal" Paimon spoke as she and Lumine looked at Amber in concern.
The armored figure chuckled in amusement. The man was temporarily consumed by a dark fog, this surprised them both. After a second or two, the fog disappeared, leaving behind a handsome man with long black hair tied up into a ponytail.
Giving both lumine and Paimon a smile "The name is Meliodas, Meliodas Pendragon" He introduced himself.
-Meliodas 3rd POV-
After meeting the Traveler and his little guide, Meliodas decided to break off from the group. Kaeya actually wanted him to come back with them to see Jeane, but he already knew what was going to be spoken in that room, no need for him to be in there and bore his brains out. Plus, Lisa was going to be there.
*Shuder*
That woman was going to be licking Meliodas's body with her eyes the whole time.
Kaeya insisted Meliodas went with them, even went as far as bribing him with more money, but he refused and said that he would group up with them later.
Now, Meliodas in in his hotel room laying on his back, his eyes looking up to the window the system was displaying.
----------
<[Mission: The Outlander Who Caught The Wind (Completed)
+Description: Help ward off Dvalin (Stormterror) from Mondstadt
+Reward: 2XRandom Rewards
----------
"System, cash out the 2 random rewards" Meliodas ordered.
A mechanical hum resonated in my ear for a few seconds until it stopped.
[Random Reward 1: Block of Tofu (E)]
"...Son of a bitc-"
[Random Reward 2: Time Travel Ticket (A)
Oh?
As its name suggests, it would allow Meliodas to go back in time or to the future of the world he currently resides in.
[Would you like to use the Time Travel Ticket?]
[YES/NO]
Seeing the notification pop-up, Meliodas hesitated a bit. The notification tickled his curiosity as Meliodas wondered how TRULY strong the gods during the Archon War were.
But he had things to take care of here so taking a trip back in time was a no-no.
Meliodas lifted his finger and aimed at the "NO" button that was set right next to the "YES" button.
As his finger approached the button, EXACTLY on the same millisecond his finger was about to approach the "NO" button, a fly buzzed around his face until it landed on the entrance of its nose. Its fluttering wings tickling the hair in his nose.
*Achoo!!!*
*Click*
"TCH! stupid fly!" he uttered in annoyance as he swatted the bug off his nose.
[Commencing Random time Travel in universe [Genshin Impact] in T-minus 6 seconds]
"..."
Meliodas hearing this notification became dumbfounded at thins.
Didn't I press, "NO"? when did this happen?
Suddenly Meliodas remembered that he closed his eyes when he sneezed, so making an educated guess, he deduced that his finger coursed off from the "NO" button to the "YES" button in that singular moment
"Wait! System stops immediately!!!" Meliodas shouted in panic as he regained his wits.
[Apologies host but once you press yes, the process cannot be stopped] even if it was an accident
[T-minus 5]
"Are you serious!!! Damit, is there something I can do?!" Meliodas asked in high hopes.
[Sorry host but there is nothing you can do]
[T-minus 4]
[T-Minus 3]
Hearing this Meliodas panicked, not knowing what to do.
"Fuck I hope it's the future because the past in this world isn't so pretty!" Meliodas spoke as he started praying a bit to whoever would take his prayers that he would go to the future instead of the past.
[Do not worry host you will be fine, and on that note, once you come back you will appear exactly at the time you disappeared so no need to worry about missing anything] the system said as it tried to treasure its panicking host.
[T-Minus 2]
"That doesn't help at all!" Meliodas shouted.
[The host also will need to stay within the timeline he is sent to for at least 3 months, after that, you can come back anytime you want]
"What! 3 months!" Meliodas screamed out once again in absolute panic
[T-Minus 1]
"Ahhhh Fuck!!!" Meliodas shouted out loud as a distorted vortex sucked his body in, making him disappear from this timeline completely... or at least until he comes back IF he manages to survive what the future or past holds for him.
