Chapter 40 - Make Trap

After getting additional knowledge from Delon, Abraham and the others were then asked to look for the rabbit hole that Delon had mentioned earlier.

So then they immediately scattered around the area, until after a while of searching.

Abraham saw a rabbit hole that had the characteristics as Delon had said, and was happy to immediately tell him.

A few moments later they all moved towards the rabbit hole that Abraham had meant.

There, as Abraham had told them, there were rabbit tracks in front of the hole, not to mention the plants around the hole had also suffered some damage, due to the rabbits coming and going.

And the location of this hole was also quite hidden, under a dead, rotten log.

"Okay, this most likely has a rabbit in it, and you can set this trap" then Delon asked Abraham to take out one trap that was in his bamboo basket.

From there, then with the help of Delon's instructions, he set the net trap.

After setting it up, Delon then asked the others to immediately start putting the traps they brought.

"Now you guys spread out, and set all the traps you have in the holes that you think meet the requirements.

Tomorrow we will come back to check the traps, and for whoever gets the best results, there will be a prize given" Delon then asked them to immediately set the traps they brought.

And told them that there would be a prize for whoever got the most prey.

Hearing this of course they became more excited and quickly began to spread out.

There was no worry that they would run out of rabbit holes in this area, because as Delon mentioned earlier, this place has the nickname of a rabbit garden.

Which means that many rabbits live here, and that is indeed in accordance with what Abraham found personally.

Where he would easily find several rabbit holes in several fairly good places.

However, it is clear as Delon had taught before that there may not be a rabbit in that hole.

Moreover, for some reason Abraham always felt that the environment or animals in this world must have some differences with what is on earth.

Let's just say that this large area, as big as several football fields, is an area for many rabbits to nest.

It was really something that was hard to understand, with the rabbit's character being quite clever.

So assuming that these rabbits were clever enough to easily expose their nests, Abraham assumed that there must be some things that the hunters couldn't understand.

From the perspective of this rabbit, but he didn't want to bother, now his job was to meet the needs of catching prey and stockpiling supplies before the rainy and cold months came.

Because from what Mary and the others said, he could now imagine the harshness of the season when it came, so he who didn't want to bet now only focused on meeting his needs first.

Without much delay, after choosing several good locations to set his traps, Abraham immediately completed his task.

And gathered again at the designated place.

When they returned to the designated place, Abraham saw that only Delon and Ocol were there.

He immediately joined the two of them, waiting for Wall and Gros to finish setting their traps.

"How sure are you about trap, Abraham?" Delon asked kindly.

"I can only hope that my trap has results," Abraham replied in a low tone, he knew there was no certainty in hunting and only Fate could determine.

The rest he just prayed, May the Universe help him get a good harvest.

"Good, if you think like that, don't expect too much but keep your hopes up, that's the best so that you won't be too disappointed when the results don't match what you want." Delon once again gave Abraham good advice.

"Yes, thank you, captain," Abraham replied in a sincere tone, he could feel that Delon was quite kind and sincere with what he said.

"Then Ocol, what about the trap you set?" Delon asked again but this time to Ocol who was also in charge of logistics.

Although he was in charge of logistics, this didn't mean he couldn't take part in hunting and right now because the content Delon taught was setting traps, so Ocol certainly had the opportunity to do so.

"I don't know either, captain, it's just like Abraham said, I just hope to get prey," Ocol replied with an innocent smile. Not long after, Wall and Gros came to them, and this indicated that the two of them had also finished setting their traps.

So after seeing that the entire team had set their own traps, Delon then invited them to go to another area.

"We can't focus on one place, and in this forest which is full of resources, we can try to catch others, this time we will look for traces of animals such as deer and antelope which are also found in this area.

But please remember, there will be large wild animals like leopards that sometimes appear here" Delon then invited them to walk further into the forest and did not forget to tell them to stay alert.

And it was true as Delon said, the deeper they went into the forest, the denser the plants and vegetation there were.

Not to mention the dense plants and trees there, the steps they took could be said to be a little sluggish.

So carefully then, using the long sword on his waist Delon then began to guess the bushes and branches that blocked their way.

He did not forget to remind the entire team to always be alert and hold the weapons they had.

Walking for a while, without realizing it they had entered deep into the forest, and now they arrived at a riverbank that looked quite clear.

The river seemed to come from the depths of the forest, and led to the lake where the first post was located.

"We can rest here for a while, to restore our energy and see if there are any animals interested in drinking in this river water" Delon then asked his team to rest.

Although he said that they would rest there, Delon did not immediately let them rest openly on the riverbank.

But Delon then invited them to hide a little in some large rocks, which were near the river.

Delon chose this place, because he felt that with the large rocks there, their location would be quite hidden from the view of animals that would drink in the river.

Not to mention, with the height advantage they had, they could also observe the surrounding area much better.
