It was a couple of weeks after Fujiwara's first few words. His mother tried to get him to cough up just a few more right after that day, which he was kinda able to do. The pronunciations just sounded horrible.
Fujiwara was sitting at a round table that rested near the window of his house. His mother was making something for him to eat. As she did, Fujiwara eyed his system screen. Specifically, something that rested just below his HP. Something that made the almost one-year-old child sound like a steam engine from his breathing.
[Yoshiro Fujiwara]
[HP: 75/75]
[CE: 0/0 {-999} (Heavenly Restriction)]
I hate this so fuckin' much.
No matter how hard he tried, he simply couldn't get over it. It pissed him off just to look at it. Anytime he did, it was a miracle he didn't pop a blood vessel. Sometimes, you could swear his eyes turn red from the rage.
Two of his wishes went to waste. Wishes that could've been saved if he just worded one of them differently.
And he couldn't even be mad at anyone! It wasn't anyone's fault they didn't go and audit his wish. He could only blame himself for his misfortunes. His wishes were all his fault.
His Cursed Energy couldn't be accessed at all.
The world wouldn't change due to someone with just a Heavenly Restriction.
The only wishes that came through were Jujutsu Knowledge and Alchemy.
The Innate Knowledge of Jujutsu of Gojo Satoru and Ryomen Sukuna would've paired perfectly had he been able to use Cursed Energy. He still knew it, but it was practically useless. All he had now was innate fighting experience. Which was already great, but it couldn't be fully utilized.
Then Alchemy was a whole different can of beans. He asked for Alchemy to be his Cursed Technique but he wasn't going to be able to use Alchemy because there wasn't cursed energy to fuel the cursed technique, nor had the technique even awakened within him.
HOWEVER!
Alchemy doesn't work like that in Fullmetal Alchemist. It was learned, not inherited. It was a whole different power system from Jujutsu Kaisen. A power system he imported into this world. And every import had its limit.
Alchemy was nothing like magic and it's not gated by anyone. Anyone from Fullmetal Alchemist could've done Alchemy. As long as you could grasp certain Scientific and Mathematical concepts, you could do it.
Fujiwara was meant to have cursed energy and a cursed technique to pair with it. He couldn't use it because it was being held back by his Heavenly Restriction. But as previously stated, all imports have their limits. The Fullmetal Alchemist power system had to abide by the rules of the Jujutsu Kaisen power system.
In Jujutsu Kaisen, a sorcerer just knows how their Cursed Technique works once it decides to awaken. In Fullmetal Alchemist, you need to learn the principles of alchemy before use.
It would stand to reason that once his Cursed Technique awakened, he'd get that knowledge of Alchemy. Even if his Heavenly Restriction was going to stop him from using it, there was a chance Fujiwara would still be able to understand his Cursed Technique once it awakened.
In other words, there was a slight possibility that although Fujiwara was never going to be able to use Alchemy, he'd get an understanding of Alchemy once his technique awakened.
That understanding was going to be very useful, as there was at least one minor segment of Alchemy that would help him in any of his future endeavors.
Alchemy could be broken into two different sections.
Deconstruction, which was the process of breaking down a subject into atoms.
Reconstruction, to build these atoms back up into a new form, altering certain contents.
These two require energy to perform. This is where Fujiwara figured his cursed energy played its part. But to perform either action, another prerequisite was to be had.
The two require an almost absolute understanding of a subject's nature and structure. The Analysis.
Although Fujiwara was nowhere near capable of the Reconstruction and Deconstruction processes due to a lack of Cursed Energy, it was possible he could still get Analysis. Better yet, The analysis of someone who didn't need any transmutation circle. That kind of analysis could only come from one who saw the Gate of Truth, a place where all knowledge resided.
An analysis… an understanding of Alchemy that allowed one to almost comprehend and, in a way, see the atomic level.
An understanding that could give Six Eyes a run for its money.
An understanding Fujiwara had the chance of obtaining.
I can't wait to grow up…
Fujiwara sighed as he held his cheek with his right hand. He quietly closed his eyes while his thoughts slowly silenced. As soon as they did, a cluttering sound came from another room. His head turned, eyes opening to see who it was.
It was his mother who came out of it, holding a bowl of food. "I made oatmeal!"
"Yay! Oatmeal!" Fujiwara said excitedly.
At the end of the day, despite all the potential Fujiwara had, he was still a child. Even before reincarnation, he was still just a teenager.
Besides, he was happy to indulge in childhood if it stopped him from thinking about his damned restriction.
