I left the little girl at the top of the stairs, telling her to stay hidden and safe. Then, I turned and ran back down into the burning building, determined to face the beast once again.
The flames were even higher now, engulfing everything in their path. I could feel the heat intense on my skin, but I pushed on, my eyes fixed on the catwalk where I had last seen the beast.
As I reached the catwalk, I saw the beast waiting for me, its eyes glowing with fury in the smoke-filled air. It swiped at me with its claws, but I dodged and countered with a swipe of my own.
The battle was fierce, the two of us clashing in the midst of the inferno. The beast was powerful, but I was determined to protect the little girl and myself.
We fought our way along the catwalk, the flames licking at our heels. I could feel the metal beneath us growing hotter and hotter, but I refused to back down.
