Alarm Ringing
August 18th, 2038 - Sunday Morning
The sound of the alarm fills the room. Skyler turns off the alarm stretches his body, gets up goes into the bathroom, and shuts the door.
A sign on the door read: "Do not enter. I'm tired of hiding 13-year-old girls in my bathroom.
"Mom, coffee!" Skyler called as he started his morning. (Skyler Arakawa, 17 years old aka the MC)
Skyler walks down the stairs to the kitchen, the coffee machine came to life. Milk poured into a bowl, boiled, and was mixed with coffee seeds. Emily hands him the coffee cup.
"Morning, Skyler," she greeted him warmly. (Emily Inochi Tarinai aka Skyler's mother)
"Thanks, Mom. You always make the best coffee," Skyler said, sipping it.
Emily smiled. "You're welcome. Don't you have school today?"
"Mom, it's Sunday," Skyler reminded her.
"Oh, right! Silly me" she laughed.
Skyler's father, Ethan, walked into the room. "What's going on?" (Ethan Arakawa aka Skyler's father)
"Nothing, I just thought today was Monday" Emily said, still chuckling.
Skyler teased her, "That's called memory loss, Mom."
"Stop it!" Emily playfully hits him.
Skyler, your sister Sophia, will be joining us in 2 and a half weeks. Skyler smiles at the news, happy to see his sibling again.
Ethan took Skyler's coffee without asking. "FYI, Dad, that's my coffee," Skyler protested.
Ethan just smirk, "Yeah so, what's wrong with that?"
"A lot of things!" Skyler said with mock annoyance.
Ethan chuckled, "You know you can't question me, right?"
"Why?" Skyler asked, amused.
"Because I created you. Without me, you'd be nothing," Ethan joked.
Skyler replied "Mm I see, thank you very much for creating me, but without Mom, you'd be nothing too," Skyler shot back sarcastically. "Now enough of this! You promised to teach me how to fly if I mastered my thunder powers!"
"I don't remember saying that," Ethan replied with a smirk.
Skyler turned to his mother, "Mom!"
Emily gave Ethan a look. "Ethan!"
"Fine!" Ethan sighed.

Morning - Outside the House
Skyler's dad took him outside to begin his flying lessons. "Okay, son. Let's start with the basics."
Skyler tried to concentrate, but it wasn't working. "I have no idea how to do this, Dad."
"Just feel weightless, clear your mind. Be like air," Ethan advised.
But Skyler was still struggling. "Yep I don't think I can do it."
Ethan sighed, "Oh my god have a little confidence will ya, if you keep on doing this surely you will end up on the Guinness world record stating that the most amount of quits from a man is you."
Skyler laughed, and suddenly, he began to float! "Dad, look! I'm doing it!"
Before Ethan could respond, a tornado formed around them. It wasn't a natural storm, it was Skyler's best friend, Benjamin Grim Lock. He controlled the wind and had created the tornado as a playful entrance.
"What's popping, brother?" Ben greeted Skyler. (Benjamin Grim Lock 20 years old aka Skyler's best friend)
"Nothing much, Ben," Skyler said, landing back on the ground.
Ben smiled, "Did you forget we were supposed to go fishing?"
"Oh no, I completely forgot!" Skyler admitted, embarrassed.
"It's alright," Ben said with a chuckle.
Ethan decided to share a joke, "Hey Skyler, did you hear about the guy who invented lifesavers?"
"No, what about him?" Skyler asked.
"He made a mint!" Ethan said laughing, but Skyler just looked confused.
Ben laughed, "Good one, Mr. Arakawa!"
Skyler asked Ben. "What's a mint?"
Ethan and Ben both burst out laughing, calling Skyler an odd one.
"Alright, boys. Be safe!" Ethan said waving his hand as Skyler and Ben walked to Ben's car.
Alright see you tomorrow Ben replied.
Ethan is just floating in the air, Emily fly's towards her husband Ethan.
She puts her hand on his shoulder. "You miss him a lot don't you?"
"Yep whenever Ben calls Skyler his brother, I remember his father, Brook my best friend" The sadness in his eyes
Guilt waving over Emily " I miss him too, Brook Grim Lock was a hero among heroes.

Sunday Morning - In the Car
Skyler and Ben are in the car going up the windy mountain road. The sun shines brightly through the windshield, and the beauty of nature surrounds them.
"You ready for this?" Ben asked.
"Absolutely! It's been way too long since we've been here," Skyler replied, excited.
Ben takes a moment to soak in the picture scene. Towering trees and green grass passing by, as they continue their ride up the mountain.
The boys arrive at their camping spot, a small clearing near a gently flowing river with rocks scattered along its banks. They set up their tents and gathered their fishing gear.
Skyler and Ben have sat by the river, fishing poles in hand. The sun sparkled on the water, creating a beautiful atmosphere.
"Remember the first time we came here?" Ben asked, smiling.
"Yeah, we were just kids," Skyler said, feeling nostalgic. They both smiled, enjoying the peaceful moment as they waited for the fish to bite the line.
After a while, they caught a few fish and celebrated. "Dinner's on us tonight!" Ben laughed.
Sunday Evening by the Campfire
As the sun set, Skyler and Ben sat around a campfire, grilling the fish they caught.
"This place is magical," Skyler said, looking at the view. "I can't believe we almost forgot about it."
Ben nodded, "Life gets busy, but moments like this make it all worth it."
They ate their meal, listening to the sound of the river and the crackling fire. It was peaceful.
As the night grew darker, Skyler and Ben looked up at the stars.
"You know, I don't care if tomorrow's Monday," Skyler said with a smile. "This was worth it."
Ben raised his soda can, "Here's to the memories we're making today."
They toasted on their friendship, enjoying the beauty of the glory night.
