Kit felt his heart drop at the sound of the beautiful laughter filling his room, as though it echoed inside of his head.
"Wha-what do you mean? You didn't tell me you went by other names, you didn't tell me you knew them already, that you knew that fucking General." Kit's hands began to tremble as his voice rose and the laughter on the other end of the line ceased.
"You're forgetting yourself, Kit." The usually pleasant, musical voice dropped to a cold tonality and Kit felt his body freeze, "I never told you that I didn't know everything about these people, do you think that I wouldn't already have another who feeds me all of the information that I need?"
