"This is absolutely weird" Blake said as he rapidly clicks on his holographic keyboard while reading loads of information appearing on his projected screen at the same time.
Suddenly, his virus detector scanner picked up a very high signal which he immediately looked into.
At first,he wasn't too worried because he knew it wouldn't take him a second to eliminate the virus.
He clicked on a blue button with a shield symbol embedded on it, at the left corner of his collar and to his dismay nothing seemed to happen…
It was totally impossible to say that his collar was broken when his projected screen and keyboard were still active and besides that, his creator used the most advanced and top notch technology with a lot of effort to make him this collar and transported it into the virtual world.
He clicked on the blue button again and the outcome was still the same with the result being a whole section of unsuccessful attempts at elimination.
If speaking factly, his collar was the only thing that's real in the virtual world.
Blaze's image was a product of his own brain which was then tapped into.
"This is not the time to reminisce" Blake shook his little head and retract his paw from the blue button after several attempts and failure.
Although being a robot, he was programmed to behave In response of an actual human being which meant, he could actually feel human emotions and respond to them, he could think like a human but he could not feel pain as his actual body was made of refined steel.
In resonance with his programmed protocol, he had to contact HQ in the main world.
"Hello Blake any news or updates" the black scientist said and Blake replied "unfortunately,I…bad...and…reason…the…fail…please look…it…trouble"
His words were incomplete due to a glitch which was something out of the ordinary. It was uncommon.
"What's going on" the black scientist said with a slightly weary expression on his face but Blake's response couldn't be heard and the screen started to glitch before it disconnected.
Just then, Jane rushed over with a transparent tablet in her hand.
"Sir, I there's some detectable activities within the virtual world. It has been showing reports of unauthorized login activity that's affecting the system performance and some unknown programs are changing the modified files as well as an alteration in the physics or behaviors of the virtual characters" she said as she hands the tablet to the black scientist who took it and started reading it as he couldn't quite communicate with Blake.
"Has there been any erratic behavior or unfamiliar assets noticed within the VRW" he asked and Jane replied after thinking for a short moment "there's been unexpected modifications of the characters in VW2 (virtual world 2), unfamiliar virtual elements and suspicious glitching in VW1 (virtual world 1), and several unidentified login into VW1 and VW2".
Just then, Justin, director of the IT team rushed over.
" Sir, I'm afraid there's been a breach in our Firewall!" He said as he hands another tablet to the black scientist who took it and read it in silence before he asked "have you informed the cybersecurity and infrastructure protection agency?"
"Yes, sir" Justin said and he further asked "how about the Data security and Privacy agency?"
" I've contacted them as well as the Cybercrime Enforcement Division and for now, they're all working on the issue and yet to provide their feedback to me" he replied as the black scientist handed him his tablet.
"What other report have you got to give?" He asked and Justin replied "we've followed the procedure and isolated all affected systems and luckily,no major damage was incurred.
"If that's all you may get back to work" the black scientist said and Justin left.
"It seems the phisher didn't have any ulterior motive" Jane said and the scientist replied "for now…"
" Any other report?" He asked and Jane replied "that would be all".
" Inform the network administrators and engineers to change the Firewall configuration and inform the cybersecurity analysts to gather all report on the firewall logs and send it to the chief information security officer to see what he can suggest" the scientist said as he kept scrolling through the tab in his hand before handing it back to Jane who was about to leave and carry out her assigned task.
" Ohh!, one more thing, focus more on VW2 and try to update the software and you should make it more upgraded" he said and Jane who'd walked a few steps from him replied "got it!" and left to do the needful.
"All these are all too suspicious. In just a few hours, a glitch in the system, unidentified personnel logged into the VRW, a breach in the firewall and Synth bot…Blake is temporarily out of reach.
It's all too consecutive and very suspicious" the black scientist thought as he rapidly typed on his keyboard...
...Meanwhile...
After Blake's contact with HQ was abruptly disconnected, he tried re-contacting HQ but it was unsuccessful.
He then tried to reach out to the Virtual Reality Operations manager (Jane) but it was still unsuccessful.
The connection was active but the other party couldn't respond and it was vice versa with HQ.
He had no time to relax for he needed to identify the threat within the virtual world or potential damage could be dealt to his patient and according to his programming, he is to put his patient's health first...
He clicked on the projected keyboard and gained access to the Virtual world map.
Pin pointing all location with the a red flashing dot, he clicked on done and different info pops up one after the other showing a detailed report on the all selected area.
"*Area A - virtual market:
An unidentified character located deep within the virtual market _ potential threat to all simulated characters*
*Area C - virtual school:
A Trojan horse virus located on the virtual school field_poses as a threat to Synth patient*
*Area X - Virtual city square:
A new and unidentified character located south side of the Virtual city square_ poses no threat (suggestion: eliminate at early note)*
*Area X2 - Virtual city mall:
Four Trojan horse viruses located East, South, South-west and South-east sides of the Virtual mall_ poses a threat to Synth patient*
[Connect an antivirus device to Eliminate all]
Blake needn't bother to think twice.
He double clicked on the blue button with a shield symbol and the blue led within the button began to flash in rhythm.
