Hope and I arrived at the bank on the Phantom, my motorcycle. This was the most recent heist perpetrated by the jewel thieves. We walked up to the police line.
"Can you let us through? We're conducting an investigation," I said to the police officer standing in our way.
"With what agency?" He said.
"My agency," I said. "We do monster on human and monster on monster crimes. We'd probably do human on monster crimes too, but we haven't encountered any of those yet."
"With what authority are you conducting these investigations? If you aren't with the government, then you don't belong here," he said.
"With this authority," I said, as unclasped his gun holster and removed his gun. I did it with inhuman speed. There seemed to be some other mechanism to stop me from grabbing his gun, but I yanked it so hard, whatever it was just broke.
