Gouts of flame continued to shoot in from the holes in the walls and the ceiling. Then a dragon head poked in from the ceiling and rasped the words, "Maven, Dylan, come out."
"Ladies, protect the remaining candidates in the auditorium. It seems they only want me and Maven," I said.
Maven held onto me and I manifested Midas. While I held onto Midas and Maven, Midas flew us up through the hole in the ceiling and landed us on the roof of the building.
Florick Zengo stood on the rooftop in his human form. Dragons flew through the air around the building, circling. "I'm so glad you could join us," he said.
