Collapsing on his hovering bed, Dre was relentlessly assaulted by half backed plans of his survival, but none of them could really rid him of the impending doom.
After cursing for almost an hour, he finally accepted the seal was with him and he could do nothing to rid of it, he wasn't a kid, and as such, he figured what he needed now wasn't to sulk in his own misfortunes but craft a plan for survival.
Right at the moment, anyone graced with the seal was all over the place, but not immediately setting out for an emperor hunt quest as to no one knew what to expect of the other, so Dre was almost certain that he at least had a few days before everything escalated and he began fearing for his life.
Yet there came the Problem....
To survive, he had to kill all crowned emperors, but that was an already impossible task for him. He couldn't run, the emperor's seal was like a tracker that every other emperor possessed a GPS for. He couldn't ask for help, he didn't really know anyone well enough other than his boss, and even if he did, he doubted anyone was capable of protecting him.
Staring deadpan at the chandelier, Dre was at a loss for options, he'd previously considered asking help from his parents, but like him they had no evelution paths and were normal humans, therefore not able to provide any considerate help, so he scratched it off as it would've just been putting them at risk.
"Fuck" He hissed under gritted teeth, having being overwhelmed by everything.
He aspired to live for over a thousand years exploring, but here he was in a tunnel devoid of any light or end.
"What the hell? Why did this have to happen?" He shouted, asked to the very universe he risided in, yet no answer came through.
Frustrated he slid off bed and walked towards the desk and without a second thought held the monitor up and smashed it onto the wall. "I don't want it. Take it back."
Always quick to anger, he was edging the string of his sanity, but just then, all of a sudden he was engulfed, suffocated by an undeniable blood lust, which almost drained the life out of him and caused drops of cold sweat to run down his spine, and not a second later turned into a vision.
*Floating a few kilometres away from the building he was currently in, was a Slungler. A being from a species that greatly resembled humans in all aspects except for their green skin.
This particular race was known for their savagery, being that the only thing they ever craved for was blood and destruction.*
'Fuck it all. How, how the heck did it even find me this fast?
Dre didn't have time to process this when another vision assaulted him. This time the Slungler had a huge smug plastered on it's face as it approached the building like a speeding train, it's silk black hair wavering in the air.
'Shit, just my luck'
"Ground floor" Rushing into the small room, shirtless, he shouted.
Materialising on the ground floor, he bolted towards the exit and into the streets where he sprinted in the opposite direction like a madman, though no one was present to make the observation.
The streets were all devoid of any human presence, everyone was back in their homes mourning the emperor and preparing for the inevitable catastrophic war.
"Not yet."
He clearly had no chance against a Slungler and the obvious choice was to run.
With their races brutality, if it caught him, now that the laws had no effect against it, he had no doubt that he was going to die, brutally at that.
The visions frequented, the smug on the Slungler almost splitting his cheeks.
Dre wasn't yet ready to die, no matter how much his lungs burned and his legs ached, he couldn't die, he wouldn't.
But what was he to do? Where was he to run to?
Calix was one of the poorest and deserted planets in the Andromeda galaxy and for that reason no one cared to visit_this was more so for evolvers or any other species. This gave off a comforting feeling that made the security of the planet almost none existent as to not even a crimal would chose it.
Dre already knew this and figured no one in this planet was equipped to handle a Slungler plus no one would really risk their lives for a nobody like him.
He knew running was hopeless, the Slungler was gonna catch up soon, still he didn't feel like giving up yet, he couldn't. He was going to run till his lungs gave out and his legs couldn't carry him. And even then when it finally caught up to him, which it already seemed to have done, he was going to fight till his last breath.
"Hahahaha! Pathetic, you think you can outrun a Slungler, human?"
Staring down at the desperate human trying to free his grasps, the Slungler asked mockingly.
Even with the laughter sending a chill throughout his body, Dre didn't bat an eye at him and dashed through the gate to the park.
"Too weak."
Dre hadn't even taken three steps in the park, when suddenly his body was sent reeling to the side, his chin burning hot.
'When d..?' wheezing in pain, as he spat a mouthful of blood and two teeth, he struggled to form a thought but another blow was delivered in his stomach making him vomit his recent meal.
"Hahahaha, Even a pathetic human like you got a seal, truly, the universe in itself has gone soft."
Dre, curling on the ground gasping for air, could only listen.
For a second there he thought he could maybe survive. Ha! what a joke that was, only two blows and now he couldn't even stand. Truly was pathetic.
"Your death and every other wannabe will act as a fundamental for steering this universe back to it's original path."
Approaching the struggling young man, the Slungler, with a mocking face, raised his hand before curling it onto a fist.
"That's one down."
.....
High up in Calix atmosphere, a black spaceship_ adorned with a red hydra painting at it's base_resembling a diving falcon, lay in wait.
It's cockpit, where a man of masculine build in a black suit lingered, was white with the exception of the exceptionally clear windshields covering half it's beak. Infront where a cacophony of controls lay in wait, identical to the three double sets on each side of it's rear, lay a single seat that seemed capable of bewitching anyone into never standing up.
"Huh! So this is where it begins?" Murmuring to himself, the gentleman with a high black fade that greatly complimented his big eyes, moved to one corner of the cockpit, opened the door and jumped, plummeting freely towards the neon city.
.....
'I don't wanna die, not like this, not now'
"Someone... anyone help. Save me." Dre, throwing away his pride, struggled to crawl away, screaming, shouting as tears streamed to the ground.
Approaching him, the Slungler pulled back his fist, then, with all his might, propelled it, aiming to squash the crawling human. "What?" But before the punch could connect a blinding crimson light flashed rendering both of them unconscious.
.....
"Ha! Almost didn't make it." The masculine man, caressing his high fade, signed looking at the two unconscious men laying before him.
"Still sloppy, I see." Behind him, an ethereal feminine voice suddenly sounded.
"Came to claim your emperor." Not at all surprised by her sudden presence, he countered.
"Why else would I be here?"
The man didn't answer her immediately, instead, he picked Dre up and shoved him on his shoulder, not minding him dirting his suit, before gazing at the woman with a smile.
"Well, if that's the case then I guess I'll see you in final space, that is if you're still alive by then."
Clad in a similar suit as the man, with red hair and green eyes, the lady after shoving the Slungler on her shoulder, rose a few centimetres off ground with a grin.
"Oh, you best bet I will."
After the short exchange, they both stared at each other for a few seconds before flying off in different directions.
