In the middle of the night, Nathaniel is sitting on the floor near the locked main door. He is basking in the peaceful atmosphere while humming a song.
Hearing him, Anna's eye slowly opens. She stares at him without making a noise and after he's done humming, she looks up without thinking of anything.
She closes her eyes, falling to her slumber. Nathaniel stands up and walks toward the window beside the main door.
"What are you thinking, young lord?" the wind bearer appeared beside Nathaniel, looking at the scenery that Nathaniel was gazing at.
"I was just thinking about how this mission will end. What will I do after this, will I be able to make a decision?" Nathaniel said. Deep inside him, he knows that his life matters but he is also aware that he has extraordinary abilities.
The wind bearer inhales deeply, and he looks at Nathaniel's form reflecting on the glass window. "Young lord, you choose what makes you happy. Don't be so hard on yourself."
Ash appears beside Nathaniel, and he faces him. "Nathaniel, would you like to train before you fall asleep?"
Nathaniel moves his eyes to Ash and turns his eyes back at the window. Later on, Nathaniel, Ash, and Hurricane are standing on a vast terrain of grass with some trees around the area.
Aqua and Stone appear, and Aqua walks closer to Nathaniel, observing him swinging his sword.
"Honey! Is anything alright?" Aqua stepped closer to him with her eyes narrowing in concern.
Stone chuckles while scratching his beard. He knows what Aqua is feeling towards Nathaniel, and he finds it amusing and sweet. He stops chuckling and watches Aqua talk with Hurricane her eyes now filled with irritation.
"Young lord must train himself! If he won't train, he won't be able to grow stronger!"
"No! It's the middle of the night! My honey needs to rest!"
As Hurricane and Aqua yell at one another, Nathaniel steps in and raises his hands at them.
"You two! I'm okay! Everything is fine!" he smiled while looking at both of them.
"Just train me how to use elements," he motioned them to calm down with a pushing motion of his hands, "it will be good for me to just train instead of hearing both of you arguing."
After the arguments, the personas are training Nathaniel; Ash teaches him how to form fireballs, Stone is pointing at the ground while stomping his feet, Aqua guides Nathaniel's hand movements in moving the floating water, and Hurricane, well... he's demonstrating how to use his long-sword by swinging it.
Back at Max's house, Anna is sleeping while sitting on the chair, she looks peaceful but in her mind, she's in her own space while punching a punching bag.
Her last punch throws the punching bag away from its place. With her psychic energy in her hands, she molds it into a dual scythe. A huge shadow hovers on her form, and it's none other than a green humanoid replicating Fang.
Anna sprints toward Fang as she spins her dual scythe. "I need to train. I need to be strong like him!"
She crouches a bit and jumps so high, and she's now above Fang's eye level. As she falls, she swings her dual scythe towards Fang whilst he roars at her.
After multiple swings and heavy breathing, Anna is on her knees while chasing her breath. She straightens her body posture, and Fang is standing behind her with his back facing her back.
His upper body has been cut in half, and it fall apart from his lower body. Her eyes widen and she opens her eyes to her human body, she stands up and feels the ground shaking.
She summons her green psychic energy and forms it onto a dual scythe. She runs toward the closed door but it flies toward her, and she immediately cuts it in half.
Wolf humanoids jump inside the house. She is shocked, and before she makes another move, a fist destroys the door, and she summons a round green shield to deflect the punch.
She didn't notice another humanoid and it grabbed her face and slammed her on the ceiling.
Max is running towards the other room in the living room, there, he pulls the ring attached to the floor; it's a trapdoor welcoming the empty room under the house.
One by one, he puts the ten dogs inside the empty room. He gives them a flying kiss before closing the trapdoor with tears in the corner of his eyes.
Back at the battlefield, Anna has sliced the other humanoids in half which is evidenced by the humanoids lying on the ground.
Their flesh shakes, and they grow a new body part; turning into a new wolf humanoid. Anna looks at them with no expression in her eyes, and she remains standing as all of them pounce at her.
"No, you will not. I've figured your weakness."
Anna lifts her hand at them and releases her psychic energy which results in their downfall.
"I've cut their connection with Fang." she lowered her hand while she watched them fall to the floor with their eyes that were now white.
She turns around and catches a humanoid wolf by holding its face, and she uses it as her communication with Fang.
"Hey, dumbass! I've figured out how to destroy your shell. I'll make you come out of your shell and end your crimes."
With her hand imbued with her psychic energy, she crashes the head of the wolf humanoid, and its blood splatters everywhere even on her cheek.
She runs out of the house, and she's about to protect herself but gets punched by another humanoid with its claws which are now covered in metal.
She stands up and defends herself but she gets punched and kicked multiple times. All of them laugh and tell her. "I am always ready! I will not come here without understanding your abilities!"
Anna groans and stands up while chasing her breath. "Don't be so cocky."
Nathaniel is running in a certain direction, and he claps his hands and covers his body with air. The air enhances his speed, and he swings his sword as he passes the humanoids.
He puts his sword back in its sheath, and all the humanoids behind him fall to pieces. Anna utilizes her psychic energy; cutting their connection with Fang.
"When their hive mind is destroyed, they won't be able to regenerate." Anna looked at Nathaniel.
"Thanks, I guess?" Nathaniel looked around him, "Where's Max?"
When the realization hits him, Nathaniel runs quickly inside the house. He looks around and sees blood splattered everywhere, and his eyes turn at the room without a door.
"No! The dogs!" Nathaniel panicked as he entered the room.
He jumps into the hole, and the dogs are shaking in the corner. When they see Nathaniel, they all go towards him, giving him licks.
"Hey! Where's Max?" he caressed all of them right on their head.
At the mention of Max, the puppies cry as if they understand his words and it makes Nathaniel surround his arms on them; pulling them closer to him.
"It's alright!" he continued to pat their heads one by one.
Outside of the house, Nathaniel and Anna are facing each other while the dogs are lying down inside an opened carton box.
"Where will we find them, Anna?"
"There's not even a trace, Nathaniel. I could've stabbed him but I cut their connection immediately to prevent them from regenerating."
A feeling crawls on Anna's skin, a feeling that seems to be pushing her to something. Therefore, she walks in the direction of the dogs.
"I can feel something weird." she crouched and touched the paw of one of the dogs.
An explosion happens in her mind, and electricity flows through her nervous system. She shakes slightly as she loses her balance but she didn't fall.
Her emerald eyes turn gold, releasing a bright gold light. Nathaniel looks beside him, and then a tear occurs; widening onto a round portal with a cave to be seen inside of it.
"The dogs can open a portal?" Nathaniel asked while staring at the portal.
"I'm not sure but I think these dogs have something special." Anna stood while holding one of the dogs.
Nathaniel steps closer to the box. "If we're going inside of that portal, we must bring the dogs with us so that we can access the portal."
