Chapter 6 - You Mess With A Psychic User, You Mess With Your Mentality

With one swing of his sword, the flames covering the blade of his sword cut through every flesh of the humanoid rushing towards him.

Surrounded by the bodies of dead humanoids, Nathaniel turns aside and crouches from the incoming humanoid's punch.

"Not bad!" Fang smiled widely.

He throws Anna away and jumps toward Nathaniel but Anna's emerald eyes shine.

Her entire surroundings change into a dark area filled with nothing but herself and a tall muscular man whose back is facing her.

Anna twirls and lands on her feet. Her glowing emerald eyes stare at him as she constructs a green long rod. She looks around her and back at him.

"It's dark here, assuming the killings you performed without having any mercy," she said, "your brain gets dark as you kill."

He laughs lowly as he turns around, facing her with his red glowing eyes. "I hold no guilt upon the killings I did. Why would I care for the inferior beings that will not be able to surpass me?!"

Anna releases a heavy breath, as she shakes her head. "I care about those 'inferior beings' and I will protect them!"

A green mask materializes around her eyes shaped like a circle, and she thrusts her rod on the dark floor.

Cracks slowly appear around them; spreading everywhere. A bright piercing green light shines through the cracks, and Fang blinks only for his eyes to widen.

Green chairs around a long brown table are established near them. Fang looks down and sees the small grass field spread everywhere, then, he looks up and lifts his hand to his eyes; blocking enough sunlight.

"Ah, so bright!" Fang looked around him. His eyes are irritated by the sunlight shining upon the ground.

His eyes stop at the sight of Anna staring at the grass field. She points at an empty chair and Fang groans.

"You approach me calmly so I will try my best to not squeeze your neck right now." Fang stepped towards an empty chair and took a sit. He attempted to calm himself while his anger remained bubbling inside of him, attempting to come out.

Anna sits on the other empty chair, and her eyes remain looking at the clouds above them.

A calm smile crawls on her lip, and she looks down at Fang. She summons a bowl of fruits in front of Fang, and he looks at each fruit in the basket.

"How about you tell me how are you?" Anna said, "You can eat also, fresh fruits are good for your health."

"Your ability, you're manipulating my–!"

A green spear pierced his forehead, and his eyes turned white. The spear disappears as Fang's eyes regain their color, then, he picks an apple and bites a piece of it.

"Tell me how are you?" Anna asked.

"Just murdering people and feeding them to my wolves." Fang took another bite from the apple.

Anna holds her teacup, bringing it to her lips, and with a gentle blow on the hot tea it contains, she takes a sip.

"For their evolution isn't it?" Anna said.

Fang slowly looks at her, and his eyes widen. He stands up, looks at his chair, and throws it at her but it stops moving and levitates before reaching Anna.

"You're manipulating my emotions! What else did you do?!" Fang's breathing went faster, and his eyes widened, "How did you know that?!"

Anna disappears and appears in front of him causing him to step back. She steps aside from his punch and lays her index finger on his forehead.

"You mess with a psychic, you mess with your mentality." she flickered his forehead.

His eyes widen, and he gets thrown away by the impact of her fingers. Now, Fang is floating in an empty dark world with nothing around them not even clouds.

His eyes narrow, and his brows curve downward. His hands clench, and he moves but he can't do it. He looks around him and sees Anna floating in front of him while standing.

"I will tear you to pieces!" his roar caused his red aura to manifest around his body.

Anna raises her hand and aims it at him. Green butterflies come out from different directions, flying everywhere.

"Peace is joyful. How could you not crave for peace?" Anna watched a butterfly with emerald-colored wings land on her index finger.

"Peace is nothing but a scam! Chaos can't be trampled by your pathetic peace!" Fang released a wave of red aura.

The red aura strikes the butterfly, and all fall like raindrops. She is looking up while seeing her creations die, and she catches one of them.

The butterfly turns into an orb of green psychic energy, therefore, it sparks and releases a bright green flash.

Fang opens his eyes and he shakes his head while stepping away from Anna. He looks around him only to see that he's back in the natural world, and his eyes land on Nathaniel who's ambling while swinging his sword gently.

"It's her fault! My creations, where are they?!"

Fang is breathing faster and he looks around him, the scenery of his creations scattered with their blood flowing beneath their dismembered body.

From the ground beneath him, stone spikes arise, penetrating his flesh. An involuntary cough comes out from his mouth mixed with his blood.

"Tell me what you know." Nathaniel grabbed his chin downwards to meet his eyes.

A laugh is the only reply that Nathaniel hears, his eyes remain fixated on him. He sneers and swings his fist towards Fang, striking a jab on Fang's cheek.

"Tell me now." Nathaniel covered the blade of his sword in flames.

Fang only laughs in response but that laugh dies as Nathaniel glances around him. All humanoids with complete bodies stand up, and they flee from the scene.

Anna is lying on the ground with her eyes closed and her arms dropped to her sides.

Nathaniel punches Fang once again but all he got was a rude laugh coming out from Fang's mouth.

"You know, I don't feel pain." Fang raised his face to meet Nathaniel's eyes.

"What do you mean?!" Nathaniel aimed his sword at his face.

"Oh! Even if you do kill me, I will remain alive. If you want to torture or kill me, don't worry, it will not happen," Fang told him before laughing loudly.

His eyes go white and Nathaniel quickly slices his head off using his sword.

He swings his sword multiple times, the movement of his blades unseeable. After swinging his sword, he slides it back to its sheath while Fang's body falls piece by piece.

He looks in a certain direction and sees Anna walking towards him while holding the side of her head.

"I know what you will ask me," Nathaniel looked straight into her eyes, "I will accept working with you."

Her eyes brighten up, and her lip curves upward but before she can speak, Nathaniel turns around.

"That doesn't mean that I will be a warrior. I declined your request for me to join you."

He looks straight into her eyes, those same eyes that she saw that day she saved him.

"I will defend humans but I will not sacrifice my own life because I have my own life to protect."
