It was supposed to be a day like any other... I woke up at the usual time, went to school at the usual time... So why is it while I'm walking home, when I look up at the supposedly normal sky, is there a large black scar running across the bright blue?
I snapped out of my reverie, and began to run quickly towards my house. For some reason, looking at... whatever that was... made me very nervous. My palms and forehead began to become covered in beads of sweat.
'Man it's hot out... why did I decide to wear a hoodie and sweats?' I thought as I gripped my backpack straps harder.
I wiped some sweat off of my slightly tan forehead, and attempted to move some of my long black hair from obstructing my vision in the process. My deep black eyes squinted under the suns intense rays. I was starting to regret my life choices.
I reached my house and burst through the door to see my father nervously pacing back and forth. While my mother was seated in a chair with a nervous look plastered across her face. I glanced at the T.V. and saw the news on display. My fathers head suddenly snapped in my direction. His bright blue eyes locked onto my figure, and he tidied his neat jet-black hair once he noticed it was me. My mother also turned in my direction, revealing her dark brown hair and stunning deep black eyes.
"Jin!" they yelled, almost in perfect unison.
I suddenly found myself being checked up and down by the two of them after they rushed to my location with surprising agility.
"What's... going on? Did you see... that thingy... in the sky?" I said between heavy breaths.
"Yes, it's all over the news... everyone has been ordered to stay in their homes." my father replied, visibly calming a little after noticing that I'm okay. He then smoothed out his t-shirt that fit his broad figure, and wiped his palms on his well-fitted jeans.
"I see..." I said in a thoughtful tone. "I ran home because I suddenly had a really bad feeling."
My parents exchanged glances, they then both took some deep breaths and calmed themselves down... at least on the outside. I could still notice their slight sweating and nervous ticks, I was their son after all and have been with them all my life. They seemed to be attempting to appear calm so I won't panic.
"Alright, what should we do then? Has anything been said other than to stay in our homes?" I asked with a light tone, attempting to release some of the tension.
"All that was said was to stay in our homes, and that the Government is investigating the matter." my mother chimed in, as she shifted her lithe figure in her chair nervously.
"Okay." I replied "Then is it okay if I take a nap?"
My parents once again exchanged looks, then nodded to each other.
"That's fine, just stay in the house okay?" my father replied. "We will come get you when dinner is ready."
I let out a big yawn and said, "sounds good... I'll take my leave then." I gave a quick mock salute.
I walked up stairs to take my well-deserved nap... after all I did run pretty fast to get here, my eleven year-old body is protesting! I entered my room and plopped on my bed. My eyes slowly drifted closed as many thoughts ran through my head about the strange occurrence.
'Well whatever. I'll just sleep on it.' I thought to myself sleepily.
Little did I know that when I woke up, the entire world would be in chaos...
