Alex and Wei found themselves cornered by two of the emissaries in a narrow alley. "You think you can run from the Warlord?" one of the men sneered, brandishing his sword.
"We're not running! We're just… repositioning!" Wei retorted, glancing around for an escape route.
"Repositioning?" Alex echoed, rolling his eyes. "Seriously, Wei?"
With no time to argue, Alex raised his sword, ready to defend himself. "Let's go, then!"
The emissaries advanced, swords drawn. With a burst of adrenaline, Alex launched himself at the closest one, dodging a swing and countering with a strike to the man's side.
The other emissary swung his sword, but Wei stepped in, blocking the attack with his own weapon. "I've got your back!" he yelled, his confidence growing as they fought together.
As they exchanged blows, Alex felt the rush of battle once more. He could hear Lianhua's voice in his mind, urging him to focus and fight smart.
"Take them down one at a time!" he shouted to Wei.
With newfound resolve, they coordinated their attacks, pushing the emissaries back. It was a chaotic dance of dodges and strikes, adrenaline surging through Alex as he fought alongside his friend.
