"Intelligence 1 has increased, I expected an increase but I must admit it was less than I thought" sigh

I was greedy for something I didn't know how it worked. It was obvious that it was the sound that activated this ability, but I have no idea what that sound was.

My mind tolerance had probably increased compared to before 'considering I didn't faint again' I laughed hysterically.

I put my hand to my chin "I'm missing something" I was trying to connect it all together but the pieces were missing or I was too blind to understand.

Growl "Either way let's have breakfast first" I went downstairs for breakfast after going to the restroom.

Again I looked at the other chairs at the huge table that was set just for me to sit at. For some reason I feel so cold

'maybe it was a feeling of bitterness from Sylas, or maybe it was me...'

"Burren" I called out to the butler standing behind me at the edge of the table, he was the one in charge of the general order of this house, and unlike his graying hair and mustache, the pressure he exuded suggested that he was at least average.

"Sir, Young Master, do you have a request?" his voice was monotone, devoid of emotion, like a robot working only on orders.

I was used to being spoken to in this way, but it still made me feel lonely "I don't want more than enough portions cooked for me from now on"

"As you wish, Young Master," he replied in the same voice, but the look in his eyes was a little more human than before. But it was Sylas who changed the most.

I had been in this world for almost 3 weeks when I decided to visit Valoria because I was curious to see how things worked in the city.

I didn't want to attract too much attention, so a carriage and 4 escorts set off with me to Valoria. Although they were not very strong, they were visibly disciplined.

I started to plan what I was going to do until the carriage entered the interior of Valoria. My top priority was to get stronger, I could never stop getting stronger, I don't know what will happen but I have to be ready.

After my meeting with Kevin I was sure that I was in for something dangerous, I was obviously in cahoots with the demons, but why I was doing it is beside the point, why were demons that had not appeared until now suddenly returning?

'Seraphine, the Saint of the Sun, must have known more than I did' was like offering my own head even if I could arrange a meeting. So I put the idea aside until we met at the academy.

"Young master, we have arrived at the center of Valoria," one of the escorts called out from the side of my door. It wasn't long before I could feel the lively atmosphere from the voices outside.

I got out of the carriage, dressed in a casual shirt and trousers so as not to attract attention, I wanted to be here now as Sylas and not as the young master of the Sylium family.

"Try not to hang around me too much" I warned the escorting knights, they were dressed as casually as I was, but the silver sheathed swords hanging from their waists were the symbol of our family.

"Understood, Young Master" they bowed their heads slightly as they nodded their approval of my order. I was used to seeing this sight.

I wasted no time in wandering around and visited a few interesting shops. Most of them were for the sale of magical items and some were good blacksmiths.

After spending a couple of hours in these, I sat down in a café. My escorting knights were watching me from a distance, not too uncomfortable but I didn't like being watched.

The cake and tea I ordered was brought to me by a cheerful waitress with brown hair and cat ears 'even her tail wags!' Seeing a half-human monster woman reminded me of the size of the Empire.

The Empire was home to most of the human population. There were other kingdoms, but they were independent human settlements too small to be named.

As I was sipping my tea on the terrace of the café, I saw some children being dragged into the alleys by some men. 'should I look?' I got up to follow them just out of curiosity.

When I got up, I left a silver coin on the table, too much for my order, but I didn't have any copper coins on me.

50 copper = 1 silver, 20 silver = 1 gold. The cost of living for a family living in the city was about 4-5 silver, a farmer's family much less...

Without thinking too much I followed them down the alley, I was sure that the knights would follow me. After following for a while they took the boys to an old warehouse.

I waited for a few seconds thinking 'do I need to get involved' but what the hell was I talking about, since when was I an apathetic asshole, yes I was an asshole but I wasn't apathetic, I started laughing to myself.

I opened the door and calmly walked in, there were many rooms, the smells coming from inside the rooms made me feel sick, some of the rooms had human bodies in them and it looked like they had been here for a long time.

There were some noises coming from ahead so I just focused ahead and kept walking.

Slap "What's the point of looking at you if you can't make me money!" was a rude male voice.

A little girl shouted "S-Stop!"

The voices were getting louder and louder and I opened the door of the room without losing speed.

"Ooo what are you going to do, brat, are you going to put yourself in your sister's shoes, actually your face is not bad, I can easily find a suitor for you even in this state." When I entered the room, five men were laughing as if it was a fun show.

There was a girl who looked about 10 years old lying on the floor and a girl about my age standing in front of her against the men, they looked very similar to each other, probably sisters.

I opened the door wide, I didn't care to be seen, I just... I don't know, something was burning inside me, my emotions were like a fire burning in the rain, dying out and burning again from the ashes.

A creak from the door made them turn to me, surprised at first, then grinning. "Just another brat," said the big, slightly muscular man in the middle of them, and the voices I heard coming down the hallway were his.

I let out a breath before Huff spoke "Is there anyone else?" I asked, it was important to get rid of them all.

"Know your place kid" the one closest to me started walking and when he got in front of me he swung a wide fist.

His arm was cleanly blown off before his fist reached me. My knights accompanying me could not allow danger and one with grey hair stepped forward.

Swish "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, my arm!" he started screaming in pain looking at the blood flowing from his severed arm.

"Kill them all except the one in the center" I ordered in a cold voice.

The knights were quick to understand the situation and without question began to carry out their task.

After quickly decapitating the man with the severed arm, one knight stayed with me while the other three began to charge the bandits.

The Sylium family was a family that developed magic and swordsmanship together, but the principles of the sword were more important than magic.

They cut through the Beginner-level spells cast by the bandits with the mana they channeled into their swords.

"Shit, don't think it's that easy!" the burly man used a Low-level spell [Explosion] when he had a free moment, and the place was about to burst into flames.

"Your efforts are meaningless" I raised my hand and created a Low-level [Frost Breeze], the coldness of the spell extinguished the mana flames it had ignited and brought winter into the room.

It didn't take long for the knights to kill them all, binding the burly man and taking him prisoner.

"Give this man to the guards and tell them to arrange an orphanage for the children in the warehouse."

"Yes, Young master!" the grey-haired knight's look at me was more animated than before.

I approached the girl who was watching the battle with her unconscious sister on the sidelines, she seemed to be affected by the cold because of my spell, but she didn't leave her sister.

"You can take it" I hand her the coat I was wearing to avoid attracting attention, she takes it after looking at me for a while and covers her sister.

I ask for another one of the knights and give it to the little girl.

"Use it for yourself this time" her green eyes focus brightly on me, her face not relaxed.

"They will take you to a place where you will be safe so follow them." I entrust everything to the gray-haired knight thinking 'I better find out his name'.

"W-Who are you?" her voice was hoarse, maybe it was the cold so I felt bad for her.

I tried to smile "I'm Sylas Von Sylium, now just focus on yourself." I left without saying more and thought of visiting the main manor for causing such an incident.

"It's time to meet my family." I was excited, even though there were things that were not mine...
