The bearded man nodded, still focused on his task. "Yes. It can't be cured, but at least it can be managed to stop it from worsening. That's why I need to drink this herbal remedy daily," he replied, glancing at Kairav with a faint smile. "Luckily, this village is surrounded by forests, so gathering the ingredients is easy for me."
The young man nodded slowly, his hazel eyes reflecting sympathy. "Ah… It'd be better if your condition could be completely cured," he murmured.
Frans chuckled lightly. "It's fine. It's not a big deal. My eyesight has been this way since I was a child, so I've grown used to it," he said, rising to his feet while holding the mortar. "Well, I'd better head inside to brew this," he added, his warm smile lingering.
