Chapter 1 - NELI

Inside The Savannah hotel, north wing, fifth floor, room 3, a phone rings. It's exactly 5.00p.m. No one picks it. It rings severally before the owner who has been sleeping notices. "Hello, may i know who's on the other side?" Say the receiver. His voice deep and pleasant. He watches out on intonation bringing out words perfectly as if he has shaped them before pronouncing. His fairly tall, dark in colour, with curl hair alongside little mustache. His probably 25 years old. "Let me hope am talking to Pita. Am Dr. Bena calling from Bio health hospital. To inform you that Neli is conscious now...." Dr Bena was still talking when he heard the line die from the other end.

Strict on time. Pita was already driving down Matunda town like a crazy driver. He couldn't figure out how he passed out and slept when he was needed at the hospital Earlier than now. Perhaps he was too tired when he got at Savannah hotel that he immediately passed out. He drove recklessly, as if in his conscious mind existed only two points. And are, where he was from and where he was to. Nothing in the middle, no one in between but that's not true. The Super-high-way was busy as usual. Moving at 200km/h, many innocent drivers and passengers lives were spared by the grace of the lord.

He hoped out of the moving car, regardless of the fact that he needed to safe  park it. No time to waste answering to Bio hospital's guards  question regarding why he has been so careless enough to damage parked cars due to his inability to park calmly. He was ready for anything. Even third world war. He hurriedly pressed 5 keys on elevator's keyboard. He almost broke the keypads. Jumped in, zero second later, he was taking off, though the elevator was yet to make a single move.

He was light. No one saw him entering ward number 38. Doctors and nurses were now out of the ward. Neli, a beautiful young lady. 20 years old. She has long purple hair. Beautiful eyes wrapped between curvy eyelid full of eye catching eyelashes. Her lips are solid honey, attached to a gentle precious mortal face. She is a conscious sleeping angel.

Pita moved closer and closer to make sure she was really with him. Sat behind her, took her right arm and said to her face as if Neli was listening. "You are living hope. By the fact that you don't need oxygen supply to breath means a lot to me. Your mum wanted you to have this letter when you wake up. Just know, all will be well." Pita wrapped a letter in her palm. He was about to set her hands free when she slowly and gently opened her eyes. She moved her eyelids like she was a tortoise. Or maybe light was violent to her innocent eyes. She was surprised to see herself on hospital's bed. Tried to get out of bed but leg muscles protested. She tried to say a word to Pita but her voice was no more. She had this letter wrapped in her palm. That Pita had gave her earlier.

"Easy. Easy Neli." Said Pita. "Relax, you are safe here." He added. Neli was not okay with Pita's words. She however stayed clam on bed. Took a close look on the paper and silently began reading to herself.

"My lovely daughter, by the time you are reading this, am no more physical but remember am always with you spiritually. Any support you'll need emotionally I'll give you. I couldn't watch you freezing in a lifeless box of the dead because of a simple heart complication, I donated mine for you. Don't worry about Waranium. Just be focused. Once you have fully recovered. Start planning to destroy it. Don't let it fall in the hands of Maka. Like how you resisted once, never dare to work with him. At your age, young and so energetic, if you believe in yourself you can do wanders for mankind. The world needs you. I need you. You father also needs you and the entire community. So don't think we are dead we don't care. It's life. We are so much involved in it. Don't forget to live earth better than you found it. It's your dearest, loving and caring mother."

Neli read through the letter.

She folded the letter and compressed it violently using her right palm. Rage on her face testified for how bitter her pure heart had become. She gave Pita a devil's eye. Her nose was breathing fire. Her chest cavity was exploding. Billions of things ran across her mind. A divine being was now a devil. She recalled all past events. Memories of her friends's, her dad's,   especially her mother's made tears roll down her sparkling cheek. She couldn't process the fact that Pita was the only family she now had. Someone, somewhere is  behind this and has to pay. She thought through, as she wiped out tears on her cheek.
