Chapter 4 - Multiverse Portal

"Alright then I'm inputting the Multiverse Conquest system into your body"

A beam shot out of Alice and surrounded Edward.

"Uwaaa"

Edward saw a screen before his eyes.

Name: Edward Kownf

LEVEL: 1

IQ: 155

HP: 100/100

Troops: 56,789

World: 1

"What is it?!"

"It will help you. You can make yourself stronger through this. "

". . . ."

"Okay. Is this a map of the world anyway?"

He said looking at a screen on the wall of the room.

"Yes."

This map is an exception from Edward's time. Because the world has changed a lot in these years. Edward, who knew a lot about the geography of the world, saw many things missing from this map. Many areas of countries like Indonesia, Bangladesh, India went underwater. Besides, countries like Maldives have completely disappeared.

Today's world is different.

"You have worked hard for that."

"We give our best"

"But if we bring people from other worlds will they agree to stay on this world. If they declare war against us?"

Edward asked this question worriedly.

"Don't worry. We have very advanced technology. Also we can use clones as army. You led us. So you have the right to decide."

"Clone"

"Yes. We have very advanced clone technology. We can use your DNA to create a massive clone army."

"Then why didn't you use other people's DNA to create their clone?"

"Because we had no human DNA. Humanity would be extinct within a few years of nuclear war."

Edward let out a deep circle.

"Fought. Let's go back to the supervision room. I want to know details about this multiverse gate?"

"Ok. Master."

Alice's lights blinked in excitement.

"We must calibrate the Multiverse Gate."

Edward crossed his arms, a mix of determination and trepidation filling him. "And what if I step through that gate? What happens to me?"

"You may find yourself in worlds vastly different from your own. You may encounter beings that challenge your understanding of reality," Alice explained. "But with great risk comes great reward."

"So, it's a gamble," he said, a wry smile creeping onto his face.

Edward took a deep breath, weighing the enormity of the decision. "Alright, Alice. I'll do it. But I need a plan. I can't just waltz into another universe and hope for the best."

"Of course," Alice replied. "We will analyze potential targets for extraction. We will establish protocols for interaction and resource acquisition."

"Good," Edward said, a sense of purpose igniting within him. "Let's get started."

As they began to work together, Edward felt the energy shift around him. He was no longer just a soldier waking from a long slumber; he was a leader destined to carve a new path.

"What's first on the agenda?"

"First, we will calibrate the Multiverse Gate," Alice said, her voice filled with excitement.

"Then, we will gather data on potential worlds to access."

Edward nodded, stepping forward. "Lead the way."

They traversed through the factory, the sound of whirring machines and beeping consoles echoing around them. Edward marveled at the advanced technology, a stark contrast to the war-torn world he had left behind. As they reached the central chamber, a massive circular platform dominated the space, filled with intricate machinery pulsating with energy.

"Here we are," Alice announced, gesturing to the platform. "This is the Multiverse Gate."

Edward approached cautiously, examining the device. The platform was adorned with glowing symbols and a shimmering surface that seemed to ripple with an otherworldly energy. "How does it work?"

"It operates on a combination of quantum mechanics and dimensional theory," Alice explained. "We will input the coordinates of a target world, and the gate will open a portal."

"And how do we know it's safe?" Edward asked, skepticism creeping back in. "We could end up somewhere dangerous."

"We will conduct simulations first," Alice assured him.

"Safety protocols are in place to ensure your well-being. Your first trip will be a controlled exploration."

Alice began typing on a holographic interface, the screens lighting up with complex graphs and data streams. "We need to choose a world. I suggest we start with a planet that shows signs of civilization but has not yet reached the catastrophic stage of development."

Edward watched as Alice scrolled through images of various worlds.

"What about this one?"

he pointed to a vibrant planet teeming with greenery and bustling cities. "It looks peaceful."

"Planet Tylenol-6," Alice said, her tone enthusiastic.

"A High Tier Three world."

"What do you mean by Tier Three world?"

"A Tier Three world is a world where magic, martial arts, dragon etc. exist. It is a high tier Three world.  That is, this world is almost tier four. But not Tier Four "

"You mean a Fantasy World "

"Ah, Yes"

"Let's go with that," Edward decided, a spark of excitement igniting within him.

"Um..Ok"

Alice began inputting the coordinates into the system.

"Now we prepare for the initial activation. This will allow us to establish a connection with Tylenol-6."

As the machine whirred to life, Edward felt a rush of adrenaline.

He nodded, determination coursing through him. "Let's do this."

The chamber vibrated as the Multiverse Gate hummed, energy crackling around them. Edward's heart raced, the reality of what he was about to do sinking in. "Just a peek, right?"

"Just a peek," Alice confirmed, her tone reassuring.

The gate flared with light, the symbols spinning in a mesmerizing dance. Edward felt a rush of air as the portal began to form, a shimmering doorway to the unknown.

"You're ready," Alice urged. "When you step through, remember to observe and gather as much information as possible."

Taking a deep breath, Edward squared his shoulders. "Here goes nothing."

With that, he stepped into the portal, the world around him dissolving into a cascade of colors and sounds. As the light enveloped him, he felt a surge of hope mixed with fear. What awaited him on the other side? The bright light faded, and Edward stumbled onto solid ground, the air filled with the scent of blooming flowers. He blinked, taking in his surroundings.

Before him lay a vibrant landscape.

This was Tylenol-6, a world untouched by the devastation that had ravaged his own.

"Welcome to Tylenol-6" Alice's voice echoed in his mind.
