Chapter 7 - Chapter 7-

"Oh, is that so. And here I was thinking that you came because you were falling for me". Dionne pouted as she said those words.

"Shameless". Milo muttered under his breath.

"What was that, I didn't catch that" Dionne asked.

"Nothing, don't bother".

They got to school seven minutes before class started. The whole class started to get suspicious of the two but what could they do? They did the same things they do on normal days. They both avoided people even though it was not intentional, and focused on themselves. But Milo's mind wasn't really in school. He kept on entertaining himself with the idea that they could be a cure for his . . . er . . .inconvenient situation.

It would have been a normal day, if not for the time when Dionne came to sit with him at lunch and told him some certain information.

"We leave on Thursday". She said as she put down her plate of food on the table where only Milo was having lunch.

"Hmm?". Was all he could say at the moment, his mouth was stuffed with hamburger, so he had to swallow it before he could ask.

"Where are we going". He asked as he looked around the hall. Everybody was having lunch and some people were staring and pointing in their direction. They whispered to themselves but Milo could hear them.

"What's up with those two. Sitting together". A girl said to her seatmate who nodded in affirmation. Another guy spoke "You think something's going on with the two of them. Because why would the most taciturn people sit and talk to each other." The gut said with a bit of irritation on his face. He once had a crush on Dionne but when he asked her out, she denied him in front of everyone . . . .so yeah.

Milo listened to their conversation a bit before looking at Dionne. He was sure she could hear them too because her face was looking rosy but she did not show any expression whatsoever to them as she just ate her food. Milo looked at her because he was hoping that she would know what they were talking but all she said was "Don't mind them, their just talking to satisfy their curiosity. Even if they aren't gaining anything ".

"Alright, back to the main point. Where are we really going". Milo said with all seriousness.

"Oh, right. We are going to register you into the spirit academy. As far as I am concerned, I am done with my mission so I can return." She finished eating her food and brought out bubble gums. She passed one to Milo who reluctantly accepted.

"I get you registering me, but what mission were you talking about".

"OK, you know that five armed beast that you killer". She waited for a confirmation from Milo. "My mission was to kill it and harvest its soul core. . . . . that ball that you swallowed".

"And"

"You killer it for me so technically, my mission was completed. The soul core was meant to be mine but since you digested it or whatever, that doesn't matter now"

"Oh yeah, that reminds me, you swallowed it right but why are you still standing. Directly eating a soul core can cause irreversible damage to your soul. Not to talk of the one you ate. Your soul should be eviscerated". She said with a look of wonder on her face.

"Its not normal?". Was all Milo could say in his deadpan voice.

"Nada". She answered back while folding her arms but she continued.

"But there are certain conditions where an individual can swallow a soul core but that is only when they are drastic flaws. So what is your flaw Milo?. She said that last part and stared at him. Milo stared at her back.

"Am not sharing". He said and packed his empty dishesvand left the cafeteria.
