The oldest boy began marching toward platform's nine and ten, but before we could see how it worked, a group of tourists came along and blocked our view. By the time we could see again the boy had vanished.
"Fred, you next," the plump woman said.
"I'm not Fred, I'm George," said the boy. "Honestly, woman, you call yourself our mother? Can't you tell I'm George?"
The boys did look identical...
"Sorry, George, dear."
"Only joking, I am Fred," Then the first twin was off, and an instant later the second was as well.
What were they doing? How are they doing it?
Harry went up to the mother and I followed closely behind.
"Excuse me," Harry said to the woman.
"Hello, dears," she said noticing us both. "First time at Hogwarts? Ron's new, too." She said motioning to the youngest boy.
"Yes," Harry replied. "The thing is — the thing is, we don't know how to —"
"Get to the platform." I finished for him. The women gave us a comforting smile.
"Not to worry," she said. "All you have to do is walk straight at the barrier between platforms nine and ten. Don't stop and don't be scared you'll crash into it, that's very important. Best do it at a bit of a run if you're nervous." The women then turned to me. "You first dear."
"Of course." I replied. Still trying to sound confident.
I prepared myself then began to head towards the barrier. It was nerve racking, so I sped up. If I didn't make it, better to get the crash over with, I reasoned. I sprinted and closed my eyes...and made it through. I looked around and saw scarlet train. People were crowded around, and I saw a Sign. Hogwarts' Express, eleven o'clock. I turned around and saw the sign for Platform Nine and Three Quarters. I had made it.
A moment later Harry came blasting through. Like me he looked around in awe at the sights. We began to walk through the crowd. There were cats of many colors, Owls all hooting at one another in annoyance. We walked by the first few cars which were already full. I kept an eye out for Anthony, he'd been interesting to talk to and had wanted to meet me on the train. But I didn't see him so I continued to follow Harry, deciding I'd go and look for Anthony after we were on our way. We continued our way down the train.
"Gran, I've lost my toad again." We heard a round face boy say.
"Oh, Neville," the grandmother responded with a sigh.
A boy with dreadlocks was surrounded by a small crowd.
"Give us a look, Lee, go on."
The boy lifted the lid of a box in his arms, and the people around went crazy as a hairy leg stuck it's head out.
Finally we made it to the back of the train, where we found an empty compartment. We put Hedwig, and Uric in the compartment first. Then headed for the train door, but even together neither of us could lift either of our trunks. In fact all we did was drop it on Harry's foot twice.
"Want a hand?" One of the redhead twins asked us.
"Yes, please," Harry panted.
"Oy, Fred! C'mere and help!"
"Thank you." I said to the twin as his brother was walking over.
"No Problem." He replied giving me a wink.
The twins helped us place both our trunks in our compartment.
"Thanks," said Harry as he pushed the sweaty hair from his eyes.
"What's that?" said one of the twins suddenly, pointing at Harry's lightning scar.
"Blimey," said the other twin. "Are you —?"
"He is," said the first twin. "Aren't you?" he added to Harry.
"What?" Harry asked confused.
"Harry Potter." chorused the twins.
"Oh, him," said Harry. "I mean, yes, I am."
"And that means." One of the twins began turning towards me.
"That your." The other finished.
"Sarah Potter." I said holding out my hand, trying to be polite.
"Pleasure." One said.
"Really is." The other added.
I shook hands with the boy's who then started to stare at Harry's scar, which caused him to go red.
"Fred? George? Are you there?" The Mother's voice called from the platform.
"Coming, Mom."
The twins departed with one last glance at Harry. Harry watched out the window at the family, while I sat next to him towards the door of the compartment.
"Ron, you've got something on your nose." The mother said with a handkerchief in hand. The boy tried to get away, but his mother held him tight and began rubbing the end of his nose.
"Mom— geroff" The boy said, and was finally able to free himself.
Aaah, has ickle Ronnie got somefink on his nosie?" said one of the twins.
"Shut up," Ron replied.
"Where's Percy?" said their mother.
"He's coming now."
